Rehana Sharm Resort
, Sharm El SheikhRehana Sharm Resort Reviews
I have read loads of different coments and review's from people who have stayed in the Rehana Sharm Resort in Sharm El Sheikh.
But this will be the most honest and real review anyone will read online.
THIS IS A GOOD PLACE TO GO FOR A SUNNY BREAK IN THE EARLY PART OF THE YEAR ONLY BETWEEN JAN-MARCH AS IT WILL BE LESS BUSY AND YOU GET MORE ATTENTION FROM STAFF BECAUSE OF THIS. A BIG TIP PEOPLE!!!!
1. the first impression was very good, reception area very clean and staff welcoming. Rooms were large and very clean, walk-in shower in the bathroom. With a phone call to reception to ask for a late night meal or bottle of wine from the roon service menu, staff would be very helpful and friendly. The Buffet restaurant was large, clean, plenty of fresh 'continental' style breakfast Lunch, and dinner with choices and the chef will cook omellettes, or cook fresh dishes overside everyday while you wait,
2. A BIG TIP IS TO BE FRIENDLY TO ALL THE STAFF AND CHEF's WHO COOK YOUR FOOD. I went out of my way to be friendly to all the staff who served me drinks and food or came to my room when i asked for room service. Now because i spoke to these people with RESPECT they were more than happy to help me or give me the best service possible.
where i saw other people being rude and demending things from them and getting no results.
All because you paid for a 5star all inclusive hotel stay people think they dont need to speak to these people nicely to get what they want. WRONG GUYS!
3. Yes all the alcohol they serve you by the swimming pools and at the restaurants are the cheap stuff that you dont get very drunk on. But all the drink served at reception is the good branded stuff. So i stayed the reception to really have a good drink before going down stairs to the pool bar and others places around the hotel for drinks.
- Advice: A big tip is to be friendly to all the staff and chef's who cook your food.

Just got back from Rehana, four days ago. Very clean room and staff very helpful. Never tipped anyone til was going home. The staff were very accommadating and pleasent.
Russians very rude, but if reading more than one review your'll know that by now.
However must do Quads, Camels and Bodrin nights very nice all round day trip, however try and take water with you as very dry, but beautiful and a must. My daughter really enjoyed it and shes four. with lots of pools and towel animals everyday she loved it.

Third trip to sharm last year stayed at the coral sea and had the best holiday so far put on a stone in weight friendly staff would have gone back which I never done but was closed for building work but had no fears about the resort so went to rehana reviews didn't bother me as I thought it was usual Brits complaining about food because it's different and I always try different foods. When we arrived the restaurant was open but was late the food was not good flys everywhere little selection ended with bread not like me but thought it's late will be better in the morning went to the room and noticed dangerous electrics then the banging started at 6am building work felt like it was coming through the Walls called the management said it would stop never did. This happened for three days even after speaking to the hotel manager every day where assured me each day that work would start at 10 am during this time food was disgusting bars dirty watched staff use glasses that hadn't been washed over and over again to different people only one member of staff with long waits for drinks. Bar smelt of milk gone off each day .! Moved room after building noise this room smelt like a toilet didn't even unpack again moved again room ok not great but by this point was sick of moving and wanted to try and enjoy the rest of the holiday one day was ignored by the bar man for 5mins whilst he talked and laughed with other staff I was the. Swore at when i asked for a drink this was reported to the manager who explained it was Ramadan and I had to understand the staff would be grumpy I'm sorry I've paid 4,000 for staff to be rude this was for the whole two weeks the staff couldn't be bothered it was all to much trouble we had then started to notice mc Donalds turning up every 5 mins with guests not going to the restaurant and asking if we'd been ill yet and if not we would be I have a strong stomach and had played it safe which is not me my last week of the holiday was spent looking at the toilet door with all four of us taking it in turns the chemist across the road sells the two products u need at a price which does allow you to move around for a couple of hours where you have to make sure your not far from a toilet. Believe me I thought I was going to have to be admitted to hospital. When we complained I was told you English have weak stomachs drink to much and sit in sun to much. I had a very strong stomach dont drink until evening time which is limited and don't sit in the mid day sun. We then had power cuts for 5 nights which lasted for about an hour each time it happened the place was in total darkness and lethal was told what do expect it's sharm we ended up complaining every day about something that was continuing to happen and something new my wife was so upset she would cry most days do not stay here this is not sharm at it's best we had the best holiday in 2010 and then stayed here in 2011 and it's put us off ever going again we all came home with illness which has changed my stomach and my doctor has stated it could take years for it to get back to normal my daughter was in hospital after the tests they found a bug which is found in the swimming pools I don't complain ever I just get on with things and think us Brits do complain when we don't have English food hence bad reviews of food i take with a pinch of salt. But it's not will you get ill it's when staff rude food tasteless and unappealing just really bad

We stayed at this hotel for a week ending 3rd. February. We had a great time, our room was very comfortable with a good size balcony. There are no lifts but if this is a problem you can asked to be moved to a ground floor room. Our neighbours did and were moved within an hour. Our room was cleaned daily. The food was good and there was plenty of it available at least 15 hours a day. There is the main buffet restaurant plus our all inclusive package allowed two meals at either the Indian, Mexican or Italian restaurants. Plenty of fresh fruit and salad items prepared in front of you. Drinks were also plentiful, with a choice of water, alcohol, fruit juice and soft drinks. Staff were nice, friendly and helpful. The grounds and pools here are better than those of the 5* hotel on the beach.
Drawbacks are the piped music through the grounds but it now finishes at 12 midnight and is turned down (or changed) on request. There are some flies around the pools but the grounds are sprayed every other day to reduce the problem and, hey, this is Egypt where flies abound. The Russians were, on the whole, rude and don't know how to queue but just stand your ground. The staff are trying really hard to make sure everyone is served in turn.
Beauty services, massages and spa are much cheaper than in the UK (at least where we live).
Overall a very good value hotel.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at this hotel. Prior to going we were considering canceling this holiday due to the comments on this website. We arrived in the afternoon of the 18th January to be welcomed.
First impressions were of the lovely grounds and pools that this hotel was set in they work so hard to keep them so nice. The room we had was clean and every day we would have something on our bed made for us by housekeeping.
The downside were the probleme with the fly's by the pool, we complained about these and were told they were being worked on. 2nd problem was the music being piped through the grounds until 5am in the morning we complained and the music was turned off straight away.
You need to complain to them as they bend over backwards to resolve your problems.
Please ignore the negative comments as I was told by someone on holiday who has stayed at this hotel 3 times that the improvements they are aking are very positive.
3rd problem was tha there was only 1 heated pool, agin the maanger asked my husband if everything was ok, he explained that our pool was cold, the manager assured my husband that he would get this resolvd as well.

Hi, my husband and i holidayed here and had a lovely time! The hotel was lovely, rooms kept clean and tidy, clean towels everyday.Staff very helpfull and friendly and not looking for tips!Plenty of choice of food for everyone to enjoy. The beach was amazing with all the different varieties of fish swimming there! The weather was very hot, which we're not used too.We could not fault this complex at all, but then, when we go on holiday we go to enjoy ourselves, not to find fault! We would certainly come back here again and recommend it to our friends!

we have just got back from a 10 day stay at rehana and what a first trip to egypt it was for me and my girlfriend. we did hear of some very bad reviews about this hotel but we thought we would give it a chance and we are glad we did. 10 days was perfect amount of time to stay here. we arrived quite late but we greeted warmly and were not rushed with our welcome drinks. the porter then took our cases to our room while showing us the bars open on the map and information pack giving to you. the first impressions was it looked amazing. the room we had was superior it was clean, simple and met all our needs really. air con works great and trust me you need it. we did have a problem with the shower head but in the morning the man maid checked to see if everything was ok and soon fixed this. leaving them a tip is all good as they keep the room very clean and make great designs with the towels. the food at the resort was good we had been warned about certain foods and to be careful, we managed to eat all the food with no problems, many people have said there wasnt much varitey but you have the main resturant with many different choices as well as 3 different resturants in the evening (indian, italian and mexican). we ate out 3 times but this is due to go naama bay and seeing different places, naama bay was ok very expensive and a few men pestering you, personally we wouldnt go back there. we did camel riding as well as snorkelling. camel riding was an experience wasnt as long as i thought but would say if you have never done it to give it ago!! snorkelling was out of this world, first time either me or my partner have done it and we both said it is one of the best experiences! you see every coloured fish you can imagine! would def recommend doing this! overall staff was great met two lovely guys mohammad and abdual there where at the main pool bar by reception, very friendly and always make you laugh and you never have an empty glass. again giving bar staff a small tip goes a long way. we would def go back and will be recommending this holiday to others. we have been told they have bucked there ideas up and i would vouch for that it was amasing!!!

After the fiasco of booking with R-Travel (NEVER EVER BOOK WITH THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY)!! We eventually got to the hotel, first impression was very good, bearing in mind we had already read previous reviews and were very septical.....hotel reception area and welcome service very good, rooms were large and very clean, walk-in shower in the bathroom. Buffet restaurant large, clean, plenty of fresh 'continental' style breakfast choices and the chef will cook omellettes and fried eggs while you wait, however, limited fresh fruit and the orange juice there is the same as orange squash here, tea and coffee available. We ate at the Mexican (very good food), Italian (order the spaghetti starter as a MAIN course and you cant go wrong) and the Indian restaurant had limited choice but good food however we did suggest the availability of onion bajhees to the restaurant manager for future reference. Bottled lager (4.5%) available throughout the hotel as well as 'brand' named mixers - Schweppes tonic water, fanta orange and Coke, house spirits available and also safe drinkable water butts situated throughout the hotel and pool areas, white wine is served warm. Staff very friendly and helpful, it helps if you learn basic arabic as they really love it if you can speak a bit of the lingo!! Didnt have any problem with any of the staff expecting tips - although its worth leaving a small tip for the 'maid' in the room as its fun to see the great towel sculptures left on your bed after your room has been cleaned. Plenty of pool space and loungers available, Mohamed the pool attendant loved to have a chat and had no problem laying out your towels and pulling up loungers if you needed more seats. Pool area clean and staff very friendly. There was a small fire in the staff area of the hotel but staff kept us away from the area for safety and by the next morning all fire damage had already been painted over. There are building works being carried out behind netted areas but nothing disruptive and we chatted to other holiday makers who advised that they did have some dust in their rooms but were moved as soon as they spoke to management. The hotel manager did tell us that they were making improvements to the 'British' menu and had flown a manager over from the Hilton hotel in London to help with the arrangements. The beach is across the road in another hotel, well worth the short walk for snorkelling but service at the beach bar is very slow and the staff's attitude was very rude. There is a Spa area situated in the hotel and the staff working there can be a bit of a nuisiance while you sunbathe trying to sell the massages, manicures and saunas etc, however we did notice this ease of once the manager had been informed, but if this is what you want make sure you barter the price for a good deal. All in all we enjoyed our stay, there is room for improvement however, after chatting to the very friendly Manager it looks like there are big changes for the better ahead.
TIP - Dont drink COLD drinks in the HOT sun - this is the cause for most stomach upsets.

Me and my girlfriend went to Egypt on the 16th of september for the first time for 2 weeks and we arrived back today. and we were very disappointed, when we first arrived at the hotel and got to reception they told us absolutely nothing about were the bars were and were the restaurant was so we could go and have something to eat they just sent us to were our room was and that was it,, i wouldnt call this a 5 star hotel at all rooms bog standard we was meant to have a double bed but had a single, the air conditioning is amazing and the view from the balcony is amazing to but thats it,, they are building new apartments by the hotel to make the resort bigger, and the builders was near our door and they were shouting and being rude to my girlfriend,, most of the men over there are blatant pervs they are so bad its unbelievable,,the weather is 10 out of 10 you can not beat it so amazing the sun is glazing every day till about half 5-6 then the night are very warm too, the pools are out of this world there are like 4 pools all round the hotel and millions of sunbeds so you do not have to get up early to put a towel over a sunbed because there is plenty. when sat round the pool you get hassled by people to go on trips and on spas and they do not stop bothering you until you are quite firm with them and your rep tells you to book trips a spas with him because they are run and organised properly with him the ones that bother you try to con you and you pay more and not guaranteed what you pay for. the reps round the pool dun really do much play water polo and that is it really not much to do and the entertainment is poor in the day and night it is non existent really every night we were back in our room for 8 watching movies because that is the best thing to do,, we couldnt win really in the night because the was nuffink to do we went down sharks bay to the shops oh my god it is so bad how they hassle you it got to much so we went back, the food is very poor unless you like having pasta and chips every day for the time you are there then you will be ok. most of the staff a really nice but you get a couple who are really rude and arrogant, it is very clean thats it really .oh yeah the first nite we was there we got coned by one of the staff we paid for our drinks but we were all inclusive so we got our money back and he got the sack,
goods-
sun,pools,air conditioning,shower,very clean,
bads-
people,food,no entertainment,the hassle,
overall we did have a good time while we were there what we made of it but very disappointed i give it a 5 out of 10.

Alovely hotel with great surroundings. We found the food excellent. This is our sixth time to Egypt and always enjoy it. The staff were great and the bars around the hotel well run and clean. A lovely beach and the weather was perfect..what more can you ask for. Just remember this is Egypt and not Spain.

Arrived Friday night 10 Sept, food was available in Italian restraunt for late arrivals which we thought was good, however the choice and quality was poor. Breakfast the next day confirmed that the food was going to be a problem. We were impressed by the appearance of the complex and the accomodation was good and clean, but quite often you would get the smell of sewage as the gardens were watered with recycled sewage water. I suspect this may have been the cause of my stomach upset which lasted for 4 days as the aircon unit for our room was situated at ground level and that would have collected airbourne bacteria and spread it around the room. Day 3 we noticed a Cat with a litter of 6 kittens which a lot of the guests made a fuss over as they were so cute. I"m sorry to say the staff did"nt share that and unfortunatly fed them chicken laced with rat poison. This really upset a lot of people especially the family with young children whose appartment was by the cats nest. They got up the next morning to find 5 of the kittens dead and one little black and white survivor but no sign of the mother. Spreading rat poison in an area where children are playing is just not acceptable, and considering we saw a rat swimming across a pool a few nights later you"d have thought they would have kept cats to keep them away.
Day 4 still with stomach cramps and mozzy bites on the increase my wife and I are tanning quite nicely as the weather is excellent. Down to the beach for snorkeling which was the highlight of the holiday. However when I tried to get a drink in the complex by the beach I was frogmarched away by security for having the wrong colour wristband and sent to the beach-bar at the end of the beach.(Theres me thinking all/inc meant all the compex).Turns out there"s different colour bands for all sorts of priorities.
All drinks were warm, served in plastic cups which made them taste of plastic and the only lager/beer available was the local brew which was just like gassy pop. Everything was watered down, even the milk.
We spent a couple of evenings at Naama Bay and one at Shark Bay(Soho Square)which we really liked but the Taxi services are a race with the devil and the bus services are a bit of a nightmare too.You have to haggle for a price and stick to your guns but you have to use them because Rehana is miles from anywhere. It was a 25 minute walk to the nearest Enlish bar in Nabq bay, The St George which was absolutely full of flies. The next Enlish bar was The 3 Crowns which did do a good meal and showed all the Premier league matches.
On the Thursday night there was a fire in what turned out to be staff quarters but no alarm went off and there was no evacuation procedure or headcount. It was about an hour before emergency services arrived by which time all the guests were gathered round watching the staff running round in circles as they got things under control. What a farce! For 4 mornings running after this the alarm went off in our block at 5.40am for about 10mins as they had adjusted the sensitivety settings when they didnt work when there was a fire.
The second week went by with us topping up our tans chillin on the beach and snorkling resigned to the fact that things were not going to get better, with constant offers of overpriced trips and hassle for tips we could look forward to the trip home which was only spoiled by the 5 hour delay and re-route via Milan thanks to French air traffic controllers.
Would we go back to this Hotel?
I"m in no rush, not even if you paid ..

Dont book, we are sitting in the lobby of this hellhole with one more week to endure, its not that the place is terrible, the problem is, we bought this under the pretence it was 5 star luxury, with lowcostholidays.com, anyone blessed with the ability to see will tell you its not 5 star, the food is bland, same old salad, pasta and chips being bought out every sitting, for meat you have to queue then they seem to think that cutting a chicken thigh into four and giving one piece is a portion!! the drinks are served in paper cups, even in the evening, the spirits taste like polish, its the cheapest of the cheap. the beer tastes like water, the rooms are ok, but i'm fed up with the cold showers, as there is no hot water or water pressure. ive complained everyday, i'll complain today, nothing will change.... if your looking for a 5 star luxury holiday, take heed, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. if you've got it for £50 and your not bothered, then fair enough. we paid over a £1000 each for this, we are not impressed!!!!
