My family & i arrived at the Rehana sharm hotel we where taken to a room with one BDL bed for my wife 5yr old son 8yr old daughter and myself to stay in.
We had booked double connecting rooms or a family suite. We then got moved to another room with two beds in it. We stayed here for 4 nights, I have stayed in much better 3* hotels i cant start to list the problems Please believe me do not take your children their it is a complete waste of your money.
They then asked if we would move across the road to their sister hotel which was the REHANA ROYAL BEACH suposedly a true 5* plus hotel that was just near completion we where amung the first 40 guests to stay there.
Everything was lovely compared to where we had been so we agreed to stay due to the fact that we had another 2.5 weeks left of our holiday.
The food was poor, the service was worse I must say tha the pools where good for the kids.
You get no ice cream for the kids, no entertainment for the kids the adult entertainment was 1 hour a night.
The hotel was infested with rats, we had rats in our room for 2 nights on the run, i complained and complained they put rat traps around the hotel and pool areas.
We could sit out at night around the pool bar and watch the rats running around, this became our entertainment.
The staff are ok with you if you are constntly tipping them, This chain of hotels caters for all nationalities and we found that in the two hotels we stayed in the they where catering more for the aragunt Russians that cant wait in a que or dont have manners.
TAKE MY WORD FOR IT SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO TURKEY, SUN IS THE SAME. BETTER QUALITY HOTELS, BETTER BEACHES, MORE TO DO, NICER PEOPLE AN ALL ROUND BETTER HOLIDAY FOR A COUPLE & A FAMILY.

Just returned from Rehana Sharm and after two weeks all inclusive our family of four could highly recomend that if you have booked for a five star resort then you will sadly be very mistaken, 2-3 star at the very most. If you have booked this accomodation we highly recomend that you move quickly. The staff apart from a couple are rude, perverts and will try and rob you of any money that they can, the food is the same thing but reproduced to look slightly different the day after. If you are after anything quickly it always takes a couple of hours for them to sort it out and then its not what you asked them for! We had two reps and trying to get hold of them for important issues was none existant, we had been asked if we would like to go and stay at the sister resort over the road and the transfer got sorted at 10pm the night before flying home! Hence we did not get to leave this god forsaken place. We had decided not to take any notice of the bad reviews listed but if you have got any sense then please take note of them because that is how it is at Rehana sharm HORRIBLE DONT DO IT!!!!!

hotel nice but food uneatable unless you like slops. good thing is mcdonalds deliver to the hotel nothing around outside only rubble never a 5 star not the amount off pools stated unless you add the 2 sister hotels. some off the staff arrogant mostly on reception. wings rep waste off time went for 2 weeks but had enough after 3 days so if you have got time to change hotels i would advise it. there are 80% rushions who think they own it

went all inclusive as the price was reasonable .4 adults aged 50,32,28,26 and 2 kids 7,4 .
when we got to the airport they didnt expect us ,so we had to get a taxi to the hotel (which isnt far..£20 for a 5 min ride with all 6 of us in and bags on our laps and bungee corded to the roof of the car ).told the driver rehana hotel and he asked which one as there were 2 (next door to each other tho) that kind of threw me so i went to the hotel reception to which i got the answer ...everyones welcome !i asked if we were meant to be there and got the same reply .tried to con us into smaller rooms and getting the adults to share a double bed (50yr old and 32 are mother and daughter )got pestered round the pool so ventured out and got the same, sign my guest book ...we love the english !and cockney rhyming slang .kids loved it .i was ill on the second day in so stopped eating .the egyptians loved the kids and let them make their own drinks etc .went to te pharmacy and you have to barter there aswell and they try to give you 4 different treatments for 1 ailment .pharmacy expensive .did the quad biking with the kids (2 adults,2 kids)and was told the dvd which i ordered would be at hotel reception at 11pm but if i wasnt there to leave the money in an envelope ...i did this as i went out and came back at around 1am and the two men who had delivered the dvd at just after 11pm were there waiting for the £15 for the dvd .i couldnt believe they had waited 2 hrs and i had left the money at reception ,but reception wouldnt give it them .they were overjoyed when i gave them the £15 ..dont bother getting any egyptian money as sterling £ goes further (they get a better rate at thomas cook their end )and egyptian money is dirty anyway .barter for everything .music and entertainment in english ,polish, russian, german depends on how many people shout when they call your country ..in saying that tho my youngest to this day still sings il crocodillo ,and chucka chucka you ..which is still funny that he remembers it and the actions to it . depending on when you are leaving (ours was a night time flight and we had to be out for 10am or 12?)you will have to pay to keep your room on to store your cases etc ....remember to barter ....or better still make friends with brits that arrive a day or two later ..the egyptians are constantly cleaning up but lack the knowledge to do it correctly .
i noticed the chef handling raw meat (with gloves on )and then grabbing pasta and cooking it .the flight home was delayed 20 hours and sleeping there isnt great ...the egyptians want paying aswell when you go through the metal detector ..go alot of bulls%$t excuses as to why we wasnt flying and after 11 hrs at the airport and buying jumpers and scarves to keep the kids warm they transferred us to domina hotel (which took along time to organise .the reason we didnt fly was because there werent enough of us to warrant the plane leaving (come the next day the airport was packed with different people who werent there the night before )..when we did eventually get home all the adults needed to go to the doctors ..i myself was still rough and had stomach pains ,my girlfriend (a chef )also couldnt work due to the nature of her job ,my sister got something called shigella fownei ,and my mum hasnt worked since as they think it is food poisoning (ongoing) we flew with xl and we were told this wouldnt have happened if it was thomas cook or thomson .dont use the toilets at the airport ...they stink as they dont flush paper but bin it and the people who sit outside it (usually kids )want paying for you using the toilet and walking past them ...the egyptians i wouldnt say are bad or good ....there is good and bad in every culture ...the police etc take liberties because they think they can and if they help you in any way shape or form ..you owe them and they dont forget .also if someone pesters you to go to their shop etc and you say you are going back ..you have to go back ,they see it as a great offence if you go back on your word

Just returned from 2 weeks at the rehana sharm & can honestly say my family & i had a realy good time. Like most people we`d booked the holiday & then heard the horror stories about the place so we became very apprehensive about going there. i got so paranoid that i tried changing the accomodation only to be offered a 3 star hotel over the road the nubian village for £300 more, i wasn`t prepared to pay any more money & i could`t afford to lose the deposit of £600 to cancel the holiday so we decided to go with an open mind & hopefully not encounter some of the problems we had read about, & were so glad we didnt cancel the holiday because we had a great time.
Staff - always friendly & helpfull.
Room - nice size, cleaned daily, good view (pool view) must admit i wouldnt want a room overlooking the side or rear of the hotel its just rubble & wasteland - if you get one of these rooms complain & they`ll probably change rooms for you.
Food - Ok, there was 4 of us & there was always something that we could eat. No fine dining but to be honest after reading the reviews i didn`t think we`d eat anything. Breakfast, omlettes cooked to how you like them while you wait, other meals if you dont fancy whats on offer you can always have fresh pasta made for you how you like it while you wait.
Drinks - Ok, Beer not bad (cold), spirits nothing like ours, pop all branded, coke fanta etc, coffee in veranda bar very nice.
Pools - Cleaned every morning thouroughly & nice temp.
Hotel grounds - very nice & well kept but i will agree with other people when i say that the water they water the plants with doesn`t smell too great, the smell isnt by any means constant but because the resort is quite breezy you do tend to get the odd whiff through the day.
Other Guests - our 1st week i`d estimate 50/50 split of English & Russians, 2nd week probably 70% English. The russians can be ignorant if you allow them to be, the Egyptians hate the Russians with a passion & its easy to see why when you see that the russians havn`t learnt the art of manners & how to say please & thankyou.
Beach - We always went to the beach at the rehana royale (across the road) shuttle bus provided from the hotel, it is within easy walking distance (about 15mins to reach beach) but be warned if you are walking down with any females in your party (especially ones with blonde hair) the builders working on the new hotel just stop what theyre doing & gawp at them, very offputting for my partner & her daughter who never walked down again. You are allowed to use the facilities at the new hotel so if you want just get the bus down & chill by the pools which overlook the beach, when i say chill i mean chill because as this hotel isnt finished there was never any more than 30 people at a time round the pools. if you like the look of this hotel ask the reception if you can swap to this hotel, whilst we was there a few families did this at no extra cost.
Entertainment - if you have young children you might struggle here as theres virtually no entertainment for them whatsoever.
Beach - located right in front of the rehana royale pools. You cant realy call it sand its more gritty than sand, you cant just walk out into the sea because its all coral for about 100mts then its a sheer drop of about 50ft to the sea bed. Whilst on the jetty take a close look into the shallow water theres plenty of things to see there too, on our last visit to the beach my son & i saw 2 sea snakes in one of the rock pools, when i say snakes im no expert they may have been eels but they definately had the markings of a snake.
Sea - seeing is believing. the coral & marine life are fantastic, the fish are amazing, if like me your not a fantastic swimmer fear not because the sea is so salty you just seem to float. The water at the end of the jetty is about 50ft deep though so if you are still aprehensive about taking a dip then the guy who sits & the end of the jetty will lend you a life jacket.
Garden reef - do this trip, approx £25pp snorkeling trip - amazing, we saw sting rays, puffer fish, lion fish, clown fish etc. full day trip incl food & drink (non-alcoholic). we booked with the wings rep, the trip was with Aquarius diving & while you do the snorkeling there is a girl filming you from beneath the water, we bought the dvd as we saw a preview on the boat & the quality of the filming & picture quality was exellent mind you you`d want it to be because it will set you back £27.50 if you pay in egyptian or £25 in English money.
Weather - what can i say - very hot but mostly beareable because of the nice breeze.
All in all good holiday & great value for money, we paid £550pp for 2 weeks all incl which is very cheap, so go with an open mind, dont expect 5* (because you wont have paid 5* money) & you should have a good time.

Just returned from a up and down two week holiday at rehanna sharm, i say up and down because we were anticpating a bumpy ride because of some of the reviews we read but the bumpiness came in different departments compared to those that people had spoken about.
See we were anticapting terrible food and a not so clean pool but instead we got an uncleaned room and lots of leary waiters and bar staff.
The Room was nice but when we arrived it hadn't been cleaned from the guests before the sheets were dirty and there was scum round the bath, we did complain straight away and within two days are room was finally at a really clean standard, the second thing was that the bar staff and waiters kept touching my wife and making her feel uncomfortable maybe not intetionally but they did.
The pools were actually really nice and they were clean so why people moaned about that before i will never know because they were nice, the beach bar was terrible and considering you had to pay for heinaken or have stella that was warm it was a joke on top of that i paid for heinaken three times and it was luke warm and not nice at all the same as the stella.
The food wasnt all that bad although some of meat that was out at lunch i swear it was re-put out for the dinner service, the desserts were tasteless and i did not enjoy.
We did go out of the hotel but only around the nabq area we didnt venture to namba bay or old sharm because we heard bad things, we found a nice english bar called st georges run by pete who is a really nice bloke we watched my arsenal trash newcastle there and the disappointing defeat to fulham but it was a great laugh with other supporters.
We eat at Macdonalds a few times and talk about value for money the birgers were huge and i was actually loving it, we also went to a chinese called peking that was out of this world and may i not move from this spot god as my witness best chinese food i have ever had, if you go have the prawn in curry sauce sooooooo good.
All in all it wasnt a bad holiday and we will return to sharm and to nabq but maybe to a different hotel i have read alot of good things about others and we will definetly be going to one of them Rehanna Sharm not for me.

The hotel constantly stinks from the sewerage water that is pumped over the gardens all day. Quite possibly why you are ill with stomach upsets.
The food is disgusting - it is not kept hot enough. Breakfast was the best meal of the day. The drinks are all served in plastic vending machine cups - even the spirits which are also disgusting (never tasted vodka like that before). You cannot get a sunbed round the pool unless you tip the pool boy (well worth it just to take the hassle out of it) and they are well packed in. The pool at the sister hotel Prima Rehana was much nicer but you still had to tip to get a bed.
On the plus side, the weather was fantastic. The rooms are kept clean, most of the staff are friendly but not all. One of our party (16 year old boy) accidently broke a white plastic sunbed, the pool man was very confrontational and we had to pay £20. When we checked out they tried to charge us £85 for the sunbed and threatened us with the police when we refused. (fortunately our Rep sorted it out for us but I agree, there are those who will try and rip you off.. Which brings us to the chemist. Yes, you will need to buy tablets but they will charge you a huge amount for them (cost me £25)
Naama Bay is definitely worth a visit. We took a boat trip snorkelling and scuba diving which was fantastic, the fish are amazing.
We had a good time because there were 9 of us and we had fun, but we would not go bacl to this hotel again. The new hotel over the road looked very nice and I recommend you should go there instead.

We came back from a 2 week stay, mid august 2008. As many people have already stated here.. there are Pro's and Con's of going here.
PRO's
-------
Staff are nice.
Price is right, we paid around 1900 GBP for a family of four people. (im told prices are more now)
Nice Selection of food.
Room is kept clean, and they are pretty nice rooms.
CONS.
--------
Much of the dished up food is cold/lukewarm.
Pool can get dirty sometimes. (very filthy for 4 days when we were there)
Plants watered with sewage.
EVERYONE will get ill. (don't bother with immodium. it doesn't work. you need the local medicine...(which you will get ripped off by the local chemist if your not careful))
Too far from Naama bay.
EGYPT problems
-------------------
Shopkeeper Hassle
Taxi Drivers will try to rip you off. (or even cheat you .. one of mine swapped a 100LE note for a 10LE not, then tried to pretend i had given him the wrong money)
Shopkeeper Honesty. (ie: oo look. a customer.. lets rip them off)
Taxis.
From what i observed. most Egyptians are lying stealing cheats, who will swindle you out of anything they can.
The question we are asking ourselves.. is.. If we go to a different hotel, is there a much better chance we won't get ill ?????
Or better to go to Cyprus and have none of the CONs' above............................

We got their fairly late in the evening, we had to change to a bigger room but once sorted we were fine. People cannot rate this hotel a 1, it simply has everything you need. The eight pools here guarentee you will always get a space by the pool - watch out for the russians as they try to steal your beds which provided us with a good laugh. Food is nice - themed nights provide a different selection every day and the burger bar is NICE. The slides in the pool are fun for everyone and go diving as it is amazing. Most of us had diarheorr however we bought special medicine from the local pharmacy called Antinel which sorted it out for the rest of the holiday which kicks in after 20 minutes so no big deal. Half way through our holiday we were transfered to the Rehana' Sharms sister hotel the Rehana Royal which is a 5*+, the rooms were alot nicer and the hotel only had around 100 people staying there as it isn't 100% finished however the resteraunts were nice and there are free pool and table tennis and 6 slides in the pool, did i mention there are 26 swimming pools!!!! The Royal has its private jetty which is where you can see hundreds of marine life - very ptretty . My Friend saw a turtle there =] Staff are very very friendly however 3-5 LE tips are in order =]
