I just got back from the rehanna sharm resost this morning. Me and my family really enjoyed the holiday, its a great family place to go.I must say we didint enjoy the food that was the only let down thing of the holiday. There isent a large variety of food. the staff are reallyt friendly, the weather is really hot i would take lots of protection the cleaners were very friendly aswell if you tip them they make swans and crocodiles on the beds and our rooms were spotless. If you go to the starfish bar in the resort ask for cassios, he was the nicest staff member and he will take care of you throughout the holiday. Also the animation team were great to and the beauty salon ask for tito and say lauren told you too from england, he will give you discounts(: i would rate this holiday overall 4 out of 5 , the food is the only laking problem. hope my review helps and hope you decide to go we enjoyed it and would go again ,

  • Advice: it was very good. great for familys !(:

holiday from Hell!!!

Aug 2010, kazie

Where do i start omg!! when we first arrived it looked really nice the sun was setting and seemed lovely,we were shown to our rooms which were ok noting fantastic but they would do,the next morning we got up and we went down to get a sun bed just to find they had all gone there is not enought beds for the number of guests staying in the resort and we found our selfs taking it in turns to go down to the pool about 5.30 in the moring just to get a bed,Breakfast was horrid we just lived off the occasinal pan cake, egg on toast or jam the dining tables were coverd in other peoples mess and i found myself cleaning our table and place mats and flys are a big problem they are all over.
The food over all was horrible and we ate out for 9 nights in total which cost us a fortune and my kids were living off pringles, after the 3 day we were I,LL the stomach cramps were unreal and we all had the runs terrible, my husband and 2 year old are still bad to this day ,some of the staff were nice but in general they were very ignorent towards women i thourght.
The pools wernt clean enought all the lining in the pool was coming up i found baby wipes in the pool bits of magazines and lolly pop sticks just not up to standars ,the beach isint up to much either its like gravel and i cut my foot in the sea wich it got infected so aqua shoes are a must you can buy them from the hotel shop,my husband went snorkling and he said that was the high light of his holiday its fantastic seeing all the different fish and coral, over all we diddent like this holiday at all but its everyone to there own.

Never ever again

Not what was advertised as a 5 star and newly built no way, room was bearable but sheets were not changed regular.after 2 days we stopped eating in the restaurant as the food was so bad and had upset stomachs for days, had to pay to eat out all the time so the cost of the holiday went up by the day, the bars kept running out of beer and when they did have any it was warm aswell as the soft drinks, was told by the barman they they did not eat in the restaurant so what does that tell you.
entertainment was very poor infact non existant, you have to pay to play pool and the little man times you and in on your case to finish when you time is up so more money to pay out, the disco you also have to pay for which is in one of the bars so for an all inclusive holiday it cost us a bloody fortune a we would not reccomend anyone to go to this hotel as we had the holiday from hell

nice hotel-horrible food!

Jul 2010, carly downs

Just got back from the rehana resort this morning and me and my boyfriend stayed there for 2 weeks. it was our first holiday away together and we both wished we had listened to some of the bad reviews.
The room we stayed in was nice and big and we had a good balcony which overlooked the pools. everywhere was quite clean and everything looked nice but the food was pretty much terrible- i lost half a stone in 2 weeks and my boyfriend had a bad tummy for the whole stay.everywhere we went there was people trying to rip us off and asking for TIPS ! We went to a foam party which we very much enjoyed but all of the alcoholic drinks arent great. DONT DRINK WATER THAT ISNT BOTTLED OR ANY OF THE ICE FROM THE HOTEL as it is all tap water and made us both ill. Its funny how bad food and drink can almost ruin a holiday! i wouldnt reccormend this hotel!

iv just reeturned from rehana sharm resort went there for a week with three othe people.when we arrived and first impresions were really good.we never recieved our bottle of water which everyone is ment to have, this didnt help as the depenser was empty.we woke up next day to amazing weather which it was about 45degress everyday.we went for dinner amd was in shock that food that looked so nice could taste so wrong.we then stuck to rice chps and bread untill we found out KFC and Mcdondals delivered.afer eating in he restraurent a few time we relised th staff in there were not happy at all which made a horrible atmosphere.we all then fell ill and had the worst cramps and tummy upsets and couldnt leave the room.we hae put it down to the food being as it was out for moe then 3 hours at a time with lights directly above.we complained bout the rudeness of the main bar man and was told they would sort something out but didnt hear rom them.while being there for a week we never had our bed sheets changed and no clean towles.we were so glad to leave the hotel on our last day.what a relief for all of us.i will never ever retur back to REHANA RESORT.NO WAY A 5 *

Jun 2010, cold drink please

2 readers found this review helpful

i have just returned from a 2 week holiday in this hotel, when arriving after a day of traveling it all looked nice in the dark!!! u had to be up at 6am for a sunbed if not the poolman would put his towels down and u would have 2 pay 4 a bed TIPS, TIPS TIPS THATS ALL IT IS i tip 4 good service didnt realize you had to tip before you got a service? drinks at the bar were warm for the first 10 days they would leave the bottles of soft drinks out in the sun come on the weather was 45d and all you want in heat like this is a cold drink!!!! the steps going int the pool only some had grip pads on while we were there 4 people slipped and fell in!. One day a worker washed his paint bucket out and rinsed the bucket out in the pool so the pool had white paint floating in it when children and adults were swimming in it!!!! when we asked to see the manager he wasnt available? when we asked for a complaints form they didnt have any. Ihad a bad stomach for 10 days and still have it now so didnt eat in the dining room after the first 2 days, however enough moaning and on to the good bits the roomswere very clean the cleaner was very good clean bedding everyday and towels!!!! we met some lovely english people and had a good laugh so its not all bad

hotel staff miserable.
4 / 10
Jun 2010, knightrider

Hotel and grounds were nice, but the staff were not very helpful and some were miserable. tables in the restuarant were a disgrace, they were filthy. Dirty table cloths and on many occasions when we asked for a baby high chair it came to us with food on it left from another child. Its disgusting. The other high chair had no safety straps and was dangerous. When asked for a drink we never got one and when we tried to go to get a drink they told us to go back to our table and wait to be served. most nights we asked several times for a drink and if we were lucky we got one when we had finished our meal. At the egg station was a man who did the omlettes in the morning, if looks could kill his would. one morning i asked for a high chair and the waiter was rude and shouted at me. When he realised he had upset me he brought me two orange drinks but i told him that i would not be ever comming to that hotel again. Soft drinks at poolside were not cold and tasted awful. things seemed to be too much trouble for them. A word of advice dont go to this hotel .

My daughter and I had a lovely holiday in March. We especially would like to thank Meena the Lifeguard on the beach who took the time to help us into the sea and actually swim next to us as we were a bit wary.
The hotel was of a good standard and cleaned on a daily basis. Lots of fresh drinking water available. loads of swimming pools and places to sit and relax during the day. Evening entertainment always ran late but basic enough for a holiday. Lots of lovely cold beers and nice food on the beach. Would go again but avoid the shopping trips - just a nightmare.

Don't listen to bad reviews!!

We arrived home today after a weeks stay at the Rehana and we had a fantastic holiday..as other reviews state, it's not your typical 5 star but is excellent value for money. The one thing i would say can be improved on is the evening entertainment, there are 3 pool bars that are open until 12 and a disco 12 till 2 but the show only lasts an hour and isn't brilliant entertainment to say the least! The beach is reached by a short walk through the hotel tunnel which goes under the road, lovely beach and the fish swim right to the shore which is a definate must see! Food is pretty basic but has all you need, i'm pregnant so diet consisted of fruit and food i considered safe to eat to stay away from the dreaded bug! The rooms are clean and comfortable (just make sure air con is working as we had to change rooms and it seemed that others were suffering with lack of cool air in their rooms! All in all a great holiday and the surroundings and landscaping make this hotel stunning!
