We stayed for a week at the Mavi Belce in October 2011 and were really impressed. For a 2 star hotel it had everything we needed from clean rooms made every day to a great pool area with friendly staff. The location is excellent with a 5 min walk to the main street for an... more

Fabulous staff at Mavi Belce...we loved it!
Hi Guys, Me and my friend have just returned from the mavi belce hotel in olu deniz. we completely enjoyed ourselves.the staff was fab, especially the manager Mahmmet. Burac and smiler were also lovely.Would definitely recommend you to stay here. cheers, Ayesha
lovely little hotel
Stayed at the Mavi Belce for two weeks in August 06. We stayed at peak season but it was still peaceful and relaxing in the hotel, always plenty of pool beds. The hotel is basic but very clean and well kept, all the satff were so friendly and helpful. The pool area is quiet big and it was lovely to chill and watch the constant stream of paragliders coming down. The mini bar in the room can be expensive if you use it, but you don't have to use it. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, very relaxing and peaceful but only minutes away from all the main area's and the beach. We had a wonderful stay and would definately reccomend this hotel to anyone.
Very friendly hotel
We did not stay at the Mavi Belce but had lunch, drinks (day and night) and sunbathed there. The welcome was fantastic from all the staff, much better than the hotel we booked into.
can never get enough of the Mavi Belce
Once again we have been overwhelmed by the friendly staff and atmospere of this lovely hotel, Mad barman Burac immedietly recognised us from the previous 2yrs, what an entertainer he is, always smiling from the moment he starts work till the very last customer leaves, usualy 3am!!! poor lad not many English lads would work those hours!! Chrissie and Ozzie are on hand to make sure your holiday goes how you want it to, male or female Ozzie calls everybody DARLING much to the amusement of the guests. The hotel is very clean, has a brilliant pool and plenty of sun beds to go round. The resort of Olu Deniz is fantastic you couldnt ask for a more stunning setting, we would highly reccomend the paragliding, try and seek out GORGEOUS GEORGE at Easy Riders paragliding, a real charmer if you ever met one! the pilots are very good and extremely well qualified you do feel very safe with these men and what a fantastic view when you are up there!! They say once you find paradise you will always want to return, well we did 3 years running and are already looking forward to 2007. Turkey is very cheap to eat and drink out so whats stopping you!!!
A welcome return
Once again I and a friend visited the Mavi Belce Hotel, sadly this time, only for one week. Changes have been made since last year: there is now a new restaurant area and a new bar; the Reception area has also been revamped. All thses changes have greatly improved an already excellent hotel. One thing that cannot be improved upon, is the staff. There are new members of staff this year, icluding an excellent chef. But the old (young) favorites remain: Burak the barman who is now 18, and not 16 as stated in another review. "I am happy to stay and serve until my last customer is ready to leave." And that from an 18 year old! He could certainly teach English Teenagers a thing or two. Cengiz the ever caring receptionist, just as caring, kind and considerate; he is always on hand whenever he is needed. Yes, sadly, next year he will be doing his army service, but only for six months and not for three years as suggested in another review! The owner's son? I don't think so! Then there is Christine: a warm and kind-hearted lass from the Northeast of England: she does all she possibly can to ensure guests are comfortable and have all they need. The rooms are clean and provide all that is necessary for a comfortable and relaxing stay. I wholeheartedly recommend the Mavi Belce to all whatever your ages.
'Beautiful' Hotel
We loved Olu Deniz so much we have booked to go there again in June 2006 The Mavi Belce is a beautiful little hotel, the swimming pool is one of the biggest in the resort (we could see this from our tandem paraglide!) and a resident English lady serves tea and cream cakes to die for around the pool at 4.00pm! The hotel is best for young through to middle aged couples as the pool is very deep with no shallow end. There is a tiny kids pool but toddlers could get bored here. The rooms are extremely clean but basic, we only showered and slept in them anyway. We tipped the cleaner direct (don't leave a tip in the room) the equivilent of £5 and the old dear welled up with gratitude, which made me well up! As mentioned before, the hotel biggest plus is the staff especially Cengiz (Ghengis) the owners son who unfortunately won't be there for three years as he is now doing his National Service with the Turkish army. Girls, he is a 23 year old David Beckham lookalike albeit with darker hair (but he is also better educated and speaks more fluent English than Becks!). Also Borak, the 16 year old Barman/waiter who spent most of his days being thrown in the pool by us guests! The resort is brilliant, vibrant but not OTT nightlife, Excellent restaurants, beach bars and fruit flavoured pipe smoking! Beanbags on the beach by candlelight and Bannana milkshakes. Take excursions (and there are many on offer) to see the culture. Blue flag beach 200 metres from hotel. If you fancy very lively nightlife, clubs etc. go up to Hisaronu for £1 on the Dolmus. All in all very highly recommended!!!
Wonderful hotel
What can i say? a wonderful place to stay staff all very friendly and helpful some of which have become very good friends.sad to say that we wont be staying there 2006 but we will be staying in olu deniz.thanks for a great holday from paul&lisa-jane
Very friendly and centrally located close to the beach.
All staff are extremely pleasant and friendly and one employee even allowing guests to send emails F.O.C. via his personal Hotmail account. In our opinions the bar (and minibar) prices were too expensive and to have anything for breakfast other than Turkish was charged extra - its the first hotel we have ever been to where there was no free alternative. (After a few days of bread and cheese I simply craved cornflakes!) The pool is good with plenty of room - the poolside never felt crowded and there are ample sunloungers. My wife & I like to enjoy other cultures - sadly the evenings at Mavi Belce comprises 60s & 70s British pop CDs, billiards, TV, Karaoke, etc. We missed the one 'Turkish' night (£10 extra) with Belly Dancer and buffet as we were exploring the culture elsewhere. At the end or our holiday I was apalled at being charged £40 for airconditioning and £20 for a safety deposit box - these prices are way OTT from our previous experiences. The beach is an easy 100m walk and there are loads and loads of bars, eating places and tourist 'tack' shops. Bus (Dolmus) services run to nearby towns at 5 minute intervals. The area is popular with paragliders and its a good place to do a tandem jump for about £45. Relaxing by the pool you can usually see at least 10 paragliders at any time and on one occasion I counted 17. We went on two excursions with LOCAL operators and they were excellent value. We hired (locally) a car for 4 days and that was an exciting experience. Conclusion. This was our first time in Turkey. We were under the impression it would be a 'cheap' holiday - not so. (Eg. petrol is £1.18 per litre, a can of Coke is £1) We will go again but will do more research first to find something less British.
Very clean, friendly and fun place to stay!

great place to stay
Having just returned from olu deniz after celebrating our honeymoon i thought that it would only be fair for me to write and thank the mavi belce hotel for an excellent holiday. The staff are so friendly and the hotel rooms are very comfortable and clean. The hotel is right in the middle of olu deniz town and this does mean that the noise from the surrounding hotels does get quite noisey at night. This does not however distract you from the excellent accomadation that the hotel offers. With the beach only 100m away and a short walk to the lagoon this is a truely excellent base for a holiday. If you are after a releaxing holiday then i can go no further than highly recommending the mavi belce hotel- olu deniz. Just watch out for the very cheeky staff !!.
