We want to share our wonderful experience in the great hotel on the lake Zell am See, hotel Seehof, Austria. The atmosphere is great. We have been there several times last year. Once again we decided to stay at the Seehof, having been there in 2005...as at our last stay, we were satisfied with food and service, the rooms weren't quite up to date, but absolutely sufficient...what a surprise we got this time! We have just had the most wonderful Christmas experience at the SEEHOF hotel in Zell am See, Austria. Words cannot express how fantastic the hotel, staff, food, location and overall value for money everything was. Having just returned home after 4 nights in Zell am see I have to say what an excellent experience I had in this Hotel Seehof in Zell. A *** star which compensates for anything it has shortcomings in with a genuine standard of superior customer service. Great little hotel, right on the lake and a short walk to the town and main ski lift. The train station was also just a short 5 min walk up the lake side. The staff were really friendly and very welcoming. The room was spacious yet very cosy with a balcony overlooking the lake, beautiful with the rolling morning mists. The staff were extremely helpful. The room was basic but adequate for our needs. We had a balcony overlooking the lake and the view was stunning. Yes there was a railway line between us and the lake but we were not disturbed at all. The food is simple but well prepared and varied. the town is lovely and there is lots to do there and in the surrounding area - we went to 2 concerts, did lots of walks and went up into the mountains. There are lots of lifts and cable cars. Salzburg is just over an hour away. I would rcommend the area and the hotel.

We have just returned from a two week holiday in Zell am see staying at the Seehof Hotel. We had a room with balcony facing the lake and the view was fantastic. The food was excelently cooked by our Chef and we never had the same main meal twice all the time we were there, which made going for your meal more enjoyable. Although my partner and I are experienced skiers our children are not and we decided to take them to this resort to learn. We have stayed at the fein smech before and although the seehof was a lower star rating it didnt dissapoint us. We asked for adjoining rooms and we got them overlooking the lake. The only thing that spoilt the view was the railway line cables but you really didnt notice it after a while. We had booked a weeks hoiday in Austria and when flight times got changed decided to stay another week and we were offered the Seehof Hotel as an option that would offer us good accomodation. I have just returned from staying at the Seehof Hotel after a week of pure relaxation. Having spent six weeks at sea I needed a chilled out place to unwind and relax. From the moment I entered the hotel I felt very welcome into a family run hotel. I was welcomed by Eva, a charming friendly girl who put my worries of travelling alone at ease and was very helpfull on several occassions.
