Heitzmann Hotel

I have just returned from a week's stay at the Hotel Heitzmann with 5 friends. From the moment we arrived we were overwhelmed with the charm and warmth of all staff particularly the owners Ruud and Anita Heitzmann. The hotel is small and we stayed in one of the recently renovated rooms which was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast and dinner were incuded in our deal and we were really impressed with quality and variety of all meals. There was a choice of 3 main courses (as part of a 5 course dinner) each night and we were not disappointed with any of the dishes offered. The hotel is centrally located and only 5 minutes from the City Express lift station and 2 minutes from Zell am See's main street of bars and restaurants. The only down side to the hotel were the smokey bar and the fact that we felt that we could not linger over dinner as staff were busysetting up breakfast for the following day at 8.30.
