This resort can be summed up in three little words = 'DO NOT GO'. My wife and I booked a last minute deal with Gold Trail and thought what we paid for 5* all inclusive was exceptional value for money. However that was before we got there to discover that their idea of 5* equates to accomodation at Rigsby's 'Rising Damp' household. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!!! We flew to Bodrum from Belfast in October 08 having booked a weeks all-inclusive holiday for myself and my husband. We left our home in Enniskillen at 3.30pm on Monday and arrived in the hotel at 4.30am, tired after a long days travel. We have just returned from a last minute break at this property, which I must say was extremely disappointing. This property is rated as a 5 star property by tour operator Goldtrial travel, which to be honest is 5 stars too many! We stayed at the Etap from the 27/10/08 to the 3/11/08. The weather, Turks and the dolmus bus service were fantastic. The hotel is in a pretty location, on the beach but walking distance to nowhere. Thats the good bit over. We are realistic, we did not pay much for our holiday (£298 each) and made a silk purse out of a sows ear, so we enjoyed ourselves the best we could. Just back from our holiday and I have to say overall we were very pleased with out stay. Perhaps this was owing to the fear after reading the reviews on this site. We booked and then read the reviews - so we were apprehensive. So much so we discussed our options with the travel agent (Hays Bishop Auckland, very honest and helpful) - they contacted Goldtrail and we were assured that if you paid for the 5 star rooms you would be given the 5 star rooms. We stayed here for only three nights due to being moved from our hotel in Gumbet as it was closing for the winter. ROOMS The room we got was room 305 which is on ground level over looking the restaurant. Just back and we were very pleasantly surprised. We did change rooms, but this was no problem. Even easier if you can wait till rep is there from Goldtrail and ask her to do it for you. Upon booking a very late deal to stay here - my fiance and I looked at some of the reviews and were instantly worried about what was in store for us when we arrived at the hotel. One excellent piece of advice we found on the reviews of this hotel is to make sure that you are not allocated a room in the Annexe / Landview / 500 numbered rooms!!!
