My wife & I travelled with my travel, the journey was very good apart from Zante airport, which was a real nightmare. It took nearly 2 hours to get our luggage. However, the transfer to Kalamaki was a short journey & the apartments were very nice.
We also had a nice size pool with our own pool bar & restaurant, which served very nice food & drink all day & night.
It was only a short stroll to the main street with several bars & tavernas, the food was really good & most of the local people were very nice & friendly.
We went on a couple of trips, the boat trip around the island was great & we also went and saw the shipwreck, which was very nice although the beach was all large pebbles & it was very hot with no shade. We also went on the jeep safari which was great fun, we went all up in the mountains & travelled all around the island, we got back about 5 o’clock & we all really enjoyed it & thought it was great value for money.
Overall, we really enjoyed the holiday & would recommend this island & accommodation to anyone looking for a nice relaxing holiday.

This was an excellent resort & a lovely setting. The accommodation was very nice & friendly, a good size pool, with just the right amount of people. It could have been better if it had air conditioning. But we really enjoyed it & would go back again.

Kalidonio Apartments were in a very good central position, only a 5 min walk to beach(using a short cut across field opposite look out for sign for Nostos bar 50 metres from beach). And only about 5 mins to main shops, and restaurants. They were quite large and clean, and slept 3 comfortably (my 13 year old daughter had a camp bed to sleep on but it was strong and had a good mattress, could have been a bit longer though, but then she is a tall girl, and we didn’t pay for her.
The facilities in the accommodation was very basic, fridge sink and a two ring electric mini cooker, I was glad i took my travel kettle. Crockery and cutlery, pans, barely enough to use,. But then i don’t do cooking on holiday we only did breakfasts. So we managed o.k. best part was the quiet surroundings and well kept gardens, the pool was really looked after, always nice and clean. Not too big but well big enough for number of guests, sometimes only us swimming in it. yes the pool was an asset to the owners. Ahh the owners, family run not overly friendly but they didn’t bother you, and cooked really nice snacks at the pool bar.
The cleaner was the happiest of the bunch and a real hard worker. Yes all in all a nice quiet place to stay and still near to all activities and very well priced holiday (direct holidays) about £900 for the three of us (free child place). Best restaurants zepos. Escape. Dias, pandesia and try the Chinese / Thai / Indian all you can eat for 12 euros each what a menu, stuffed ourselves silly.
Must go on shipwreck trip, awesome sight, also jeep safari was real fun, and small boat trip to turtle island from Laganas beach where you can stay for 1,2 or 3 hours beautiful swimming there and so peaceful. Yes i would go back there without hesitation , oh did i mention to hire a fan (no air con) 15 euros a week from reception.
