If you are looking for somewhere different, and cool to go... look no further than Reykjavik.
I'd heard all sorts of horror stories about how expensive Iceland was, but that didn’t deter me.
Off I went... Arriving into Keplavik airport at midnight (ouch) and then a 50 minute taxi ride into downtown Reykjavik.
The hotel was spotless, modern, contemporary. Very nice. Heated floor in the bathroom (a nice touch) and comfortable.
Breakfast was lovely ( baked beans being a great touch ) and location wasn’t a problem at all.
Located near interesting things, I was well impressed.
Reykjavik does come into its own on a nighttime, and to be fair.... its wild!... in a great way.
The people are amazing and I can’t wait to go back.
