we have just returned today from arya with our 2 kids aged 7 and 11.we had a fantastic time at the apartments and i was impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel(rooms cleaned daily) and the food we had as half board was fantastic.
a quiet place to relax with no sunbed hassle yet only minutes away from beach and resort.
well run and would have no hesitation in returning if doing turkey again.

  • Advice: try the bars down the small backstreets amazing

fab apartments

Had a fab time here, lodes of sunbeds no towels on them in a morning so you can get up at midday and still have a choice, very close to all bars and restuarants and the beach, staff friendly and helpful although sometimes you feel pressured to eat there due to staff being on commission they do understand though that you are on holiday and want to explore other bars. The self catering option is only a couple of rings that plug in the wall but that doesn't bother us because i don't go on holiday to cook! The maid cleans the room every day, so the rooms are very clean and comfortable. will definately be coming back next year.

  • Advice: try the food in the apartment bar theyre nice and good value

ayra apartments are lovely clean and modern. although probably best suited to singles and couples as nothing for young children an not a lot of room for them to play. the food in the restaurant was lovely we ate there a few times snacks breakfast and evening meals. the staff were pleasant syed and ushram very likable lads. the supermarket is open 24 hours nice frienly staff here also. the hotel has sunbeds at the beach 2.50 lira for the day were you are served drinks and food from the restaurant also have free use of the toilets and showers. the hotel is 5 mins walk from the wednesday market.

We were told we were overbooked (my partner is a carer for her disabled mother), and the manageress (called Pinar) said they could accommodate my partner's parents at Arya for the first two days of our holiday whilst the rest of us were bundled away to Ozlem II aparts (which is apparently an Arya over-flow hotel!) After two days of sheer hell (my partners mother is wheelchair bound and my partner could not be with her to look after her!), Pinar tried to offer us whatever we wanted for free, ie air conditioning, saftey box etc, which we politely refused as she was wanting us to sign a disclaimer so that we would not lodge a complaint against her. At one point she even blatantly threatened to kick us ALL out if we weren't happy, cos in her own words "she would rather have an over-booked hotel than any empty rooms!". Absolutely no sympathy wotsoever! And there were also four other parties that were overbooked, and had to spend the first few days in a different hotel!
There is absolutely nothing for the kids to do on the site of the hotel as it is so cramped and small. Even one of the staff members said that it's no good for families, more suited to old couples. The brief time that the kids did spend in the pool, they were frowned upon by other elder guests and even the staff for laughing too loud and having fun!
If this had been the first time we had been to Turkey, there's NO WAY we would ever go back. Luckily, we usually go to Altinkum every year and know how lovely it is. We deeply regret spending so much money for this nightmare holiday!
P.S. The rooms themselves are clean and tidy, but if the complex itself is cramped and tiny, and the staff were frightened of there manageress (who was regularly seen screaming at her staff!), were dubious about having fun with the kids in case they got told off, of course its gonna put a dampener on anyone's holiday!

Just returned from the Arya in Icmeler and it was great. First time in Turkey and we could not have picked better apartments or location. The rooms were spacious and were cleaned and towels changed every day. Apart from a toaster they had everything you need for a self catering holiday. We overlooked the pool but some rooms were at the back with no view but the quality of the rest of the place would still make it worthwhile if you ended up in one at the back. The on site bar and restuarant was good with freindly staff and there is also a mini market open 24hrs. There were always plenty loungers available at the pool as the beach is a bit more than 150 yds but still only a 5 minute walk. They are also well located on the edge of the town centre will loads of good restuarants and bars on the doorstep. Great food at the Florida, Cupids and Chef restuarants.
Icmeler is a lovely town with a nice beach but the locals are very persistent when trying to sell you anything from boat trips or gold to ice cream and sunbeds hewever most are good humoured with it. We walked into Marmaris once but did not like the look of it compared to Icmeler. We booked with an agent but would go independently next time by booking direct with the Arya and airline. Airport transfer with ResortHopper is reasonable and very efficient. Would recommend these apartments and will definately go back.

We booked our holiday at short notice...

We booked our holiday at short notice and hadn't heard about Jewel in the Crown before, we arrived at the airport and were met by a rep from Jewel in the Crown who gave lots of information, the drive from the airport is a bit longer than expected (nearly 2 1/2 hours), we arrived at Arya to a member of staff waiting for us at the front of the Arya who took all of our baggage for us and showed us straight to our room, from then on we had a wonderful time the rooms are immaculate cleaned everyday by the maids, the appartments and the grounds are kept clean everyday by the staff, the restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at reasonable prices, on a whole the staff were very friendly and helpful even the bar man and the security man were very helpful, friendly and informative, the pool is cleaned every day and is of a high maintained standard a little small but sufficient enough for size of appartments, plenty of sun loungers available and in good condition, the only downside we had to our holiday was when we took a trip named as the Dalyan Transfer which is available to guests to book who have early morning flights, you have a day out in Dalyan and then are given a room in a hotel in Dalyan to wash, change and sleep until your coach arrives for the airport, i wouldny advise that other people took on this trip as it wasnt at all what we expected we regreted doing this and should have stayed at the Arya we nick named the hotel in Dalyan Fawlty Towers!
If you are looking to go to Icmeler Arya Appartments are a lovely place to stay and i can asure you wont have any nasty suprises unlike Fawlty Towers!

We booked to stay at the Arya through...

We booked to stay at the Arya through Apollo Travel. We have been to Turkey 4 times now, but i would say these are the best apartments we have stayed in.
The rooms are very spacious with everything you need for a self catering holiday. The staff are great and cannot do enough to help make your stay enjoyable.
The apartments are very central and only a few minutes away from the beach. The pool isn't very big, but this wasn't a problem as we could always get a sun lounger.
There are a good selection of restaurants to name a few Taj Mahal, Wonderboys and Florida. We would reccommend these apartments to anybody and will definetley return in the future.
