We were expecting a poor standard at the hotel, how wrong we were. The rooms have been refurbished and are adequate for a skiing holiday. The ski bus stops outside the hotel every 15 mins.
The reception staff are very helpful and the other staff are very jolly. We had one of the group who suffered a minor injury on the first day and unable to ski for the rest of the week. The staff were great in accommodating them and advising on activities near the town.
We have always been used to good accommodation and due to our late booking and reviews we would have a sub-standard stay. Not at all, we will return.

Definitely not "4 star pending". Previously known as the Klausner Hotel, the Flair Hotel has undergone a partial refurbishment -our bathroom was new and excellent.
All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The food was a let down - same limited buffet breakfast every day, and same buffet salad every night. Very salty food, especially the soups.
The cream ones were edible but the clear soups we couldn't touch, especially those with strange things floating in them (liver dumplings, profiteroles and strips of pancakes!). Main course choice of two was limited, so had vegetarian a couple of nights.
The refurb had not reached the furniture in our bedroom (room 202). One of the twin beds collapsed simply by sitting on it. The slatted base was too narrow for the frame, and simply fell off it's supports.
The whole thing was a mess. The other twin base was centred by means of cardboard packing! The balcony door external shutter could not be secured because the catch had pulled out of the rotted wood.
Location may be OK for train spotters, overlooking the main station. The address is, after all, No 1 Station Platz! The bing-bong-bong station announcements start soon after 6am. Freight trains run through the night.
Hotel somewhat on the outskirts of the delightful town, but main bus stop right outside - which was good for the free ski buses.

After visiting Kitz for 3 years running we thought it was a safe bet but oh how we were wrong about going to the Klausner. The reception staff were rude the room was dirty to the extent that the bath had hair in it and there wasn’t any towels or soap to was your hands after using the toilet.
To top it off when we booked the holiday they emailed us about any special requests so we said only one, we are Muslim so we don’t eat pork and there it was a whole plate of pork in our bedroom. Mmmmm not good.
Anyway after a lot of fuss and 5hrs later we ended up at the hotel Hofer where we had the time of our lives.
Ps Kitz is fantastic and the people are great. If you go you must go to the gelateria coffee shop in the square as they do the best latte oww and la fonda is great for food and the staff are most friendly in both.

This hotel is in desperate need of a refurb.
The building itself on the exterior is very run down and the room we were allocated was just a bad. The wood on the balcony was split and loose, the overhead light was hanging off the ceiling.....need I say anymore. We were on honeymoon and very disappointed. We stayed approx. 7 hours at this hotel before finding something more suitable and went on to have a fantastic time.
Kitzbuel is a fantastic place, nice people, great food, fantastic walks, but would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We loved our holiday in Kitzbuhel. The resort is very pretty and the people incredibly friendly. But what really added to our holiday was the hotel, The Flairhotel. Although the spa and new bar were not complete our stay in the hotel was very enjoyable.
The 6 course evening meal was fantastic, the service by the friendly staff complemented the very high standard of food. The rooms were clean and modern, the reception area and the restaurant were lovely surroundings to spend time in.
A great hotel!
