Wyvern Hotel

The most important thing for us, a family of five, is the possibility of having a family room. The Wyvern offers not only that, but actually wellcomes children! The welcome was great, the children were allowed to be children, the breakfast was excellent. Of course, the location close to the beach doesn't make matters worse. Highly recommended!!

We have just come back from a ten day stay here, and it has been wonderful. The hosts cannot do enough to make your stay a welcoming and comfortable one, simply nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts are generous, and children are catered for just as well as the adults. The hotel itself is just five minutes from the beach, and under ten minutes walking distance from the town centre, and Bournemouth is just five minutes in the car. We have just returned from our stay of 3 nights. The owners are very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make us welcome. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms tidy and comfortable. Near to beach, a comfortable walk to Bournemouth town, or there are shops nearby. 'Evening entertainment' (the Nintendo WII in the lounge) was good fun and many staying at the hotel joined in the fun! Free use of internet was available. In all a very enjoyable and relaxing few days.

Having read the previous reviews, i find it hard to believe that these 'guests' had even stayed at this hotel. We stayed for two nights and have a very large young family, but from the outset, felt very welcome. We was welcomed in from our journey with a cup of tea or coffee and squash for the kids, and the owner carried our very large bags to our room. Very pleased with hte hotel. The owners were very understanding to our circumstances and allowed our little family member in as well!!!!. Very good food and clean rooms. Stayed for a week and hope to return next year it was home away from home with that extra bit of sparkle. Owners and staff very friendly and professional. A very friendly couple runs this quite small hotel (12 rooms) in Boscombe/Bournemouth, UK. Boscombe, Poole. Bournemouth, Southbourne, Christchurch all seems to be towns that have grown together, with Bournemotuh being the biggest one. They're all very close to a long strech of great sandy beaches.
