Domaine de Litteau Holiday Park

A very quiet site which is undergoing plenty of changes later this year. The staff were very friendly and helpful and took time to help us with our very limited French. Good location, easy to get to all the attractions. We stayed in a 2 bedroom static caravan which looked brand new and was spotless. Drinks on site a bit expensive but local Supermarkets provided good value for money. Children's Club limited but the staff were very innovative and our 10 year old son thoroughly enjoyed himself. We have just returned from Domaine de Litteau having had a thoroughly enjoyable 10 days. The pitch was great and centrally located,. albeit on a slight slope. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and Club Max was fantastic for the kids (8 and 5), so much so that we had to arrange day trips around Club Max! The food in the bar was great but the drinks were on the slighly expensive side, but I think that is common in France generally. For our holiday with our two children aged 10 and 12 we wanted a site that had some facilities - particularly a swimming pool, but where we weren't being badgered into activities all the time. I think the Siblu site at Domainve de Litteau fit this criteria perfectly. There is a covered swimming pool, which the kids used several times, including the one day it rained. Very peaceful and relaxing. Not much to keep teenagers going, but my two enjoy a bit of fishing so that kept them quite. Nearest large supermarkets are 10 miles in either direction so a bit of planning needed unless you enjoy spending a lot of your time driving to and fro. Just one point to note, they need to cook more french bread, croissants and pain au chocolates each morning as they sell out in minutes. PS. I got my break free through clubcard vouchers so even better.

We have 2 children boy and girl - one 13 years old and one 9 so finding a holiday that suited both was a bit of a challenge! The parc was lovely - our mobile home was superb, very spacious and well equipped. We were quite pleased that there wasn't lots of entertainment - our kids were quite happy with the pool during the day and the games room and mixing with other kids in the evening, when we enjoyed a quiet drink in the bar with other parents. We booked to stay at Domaine de Litteau for 4 days so we could visit the Normandie beaches which are about 30 mins drive away,the camp is well sign posted as you get near and is easy to find. First time in France,on our second week we stayed in Domaine de Litteau and from research we had done on this particular camp we knew that it was newly acquired by Siblu and it hadn't alot of facilitys but from the day we arrived we loved it.We arrived early but our mobile was ready, immaculately clean and a bottle of Bayeux cider as a welcoming present. Just returned from Normandy. Enjoyed a wonderful holiday at Domaine de Litteau. The park is in a quite area off the road from Saint Lo to Bayeux. Park is well sited to explore the D-Day beaches. Park is curently being developed to bring it up to the standard of other Siblu parks. Will definately visit again.

We stayed for at Domaine de Litteau for the half term week in May, and it was excellent. The staff on the park were extremely friendly and helpful. It was like a family run park. We were amazed at the high standard of the caravan and a lovely touch was the bottle of cider they left but most importantly when you have children in tow was the pint of milk in the fridge. This site is also ideally located for sight seeing and the park is easy to find. We would definately go back.
