My family and I have just returned from a week at daystar. In spite of it being end of season Alex Eric and James went out of their way to make sure we had a great holiday with lots of fun.The apartments were fantastic for the money we Paid our only complaint being about the shower curtains! They even managed to put on entertainment at a bbq in spite of there only being a few of us.We would definately go back to daystar. I have just returned from a 2 week holiday at the daystar apts and the manager Alex and this staff could not have done more to make us welcome and they gave us service second to none.
The apts are basic but clean, the towels get changed every 3 days as does the linen.
I was there last year and the service and staff were great but there has been a great improvement this year, the chef is very good therefore the food was greatly improved
I reccommend you try the fish in salt it is excellent.
There is more to do in the evening and entertainment most nights.
My family and friends will certainly be returning to the daystar next year and I would
not hesitate to reccommend these apts to anyone who is looking for value for
money.
Thanks again to ALEX, JAMES, ERIC, APPO THE CHEF CLEANING STAFF AND THE RECEPTIONIST FOR MAKING OUR HOLIDAY REMEMBERABLE.

Daystar was amazing!! Soo much fun! 10 of my family went, we were there from 13th July - 28th!! and it was the best holiday I've ever been on!! This was our 3rd time going and our 1st time staying here, and going back again, we wouldnt stay anywere else!! All the staff soo friendly and we love them all! We enjoyed spending time with them and have so many memories!! The rooms were basic, but nice! was enough space for me and my 3 member of my family in 1 room! and were girls!! soo it was def good!! haha!!
The cleaners were so cute! even though they couldnt speak english, they still made u smile in the morning and done good job!! The place was clean and tidy! the facilties were gr8! loved the pool and even the seatin area in bar and pool table!! Competitions everynight, I couldnt really say anything bad about this place! Other than the shower leaked with water filling too quick!!
But it was great!! There was a nice little park beside Daystar, were we sat at night sometimes and talked with turkish friends!! :) hehe!! it was great! The music and atmosphere was increidable!! We actually went back in september to see every1 again, and were approached with a warm welcome!! and it was just great! Goin back here next summer and def will be staying here!! the staff were just fab! Alex, memo, jack, daniel, james, alfonzo, eric, the cleaners, apo, oz, tommy, etc!! Just love the place! would recommend it too!! :) xoxoxoxo!!

we were due to stay at club daystar for 2 weeks (12th-26th aug)we only lasted 1 week we decided to move ourselves at our own expense.first impressions of the place not very good, perhaps we had been spoilt the 2 years previous when we stayed at "club tokmak"(a great family run place).our apartment showed little signs of any regular maintenance;the wc pan was not secured to the floor,as was the wash basin & pedestal.the shower curtains (a dirty colour) overhung the shower tray resulting in a soaking wet floor.the shower head could not be rotated (corroded),meaning if you wanted to wash properly you had to stand with your body touching the wall, and that was only if you were lucky enough to get hot water !! any activity in the bathroom had to be done with the door open because even that did not shut properly.you could never get a sunbed,as there was 5 of us we were scattered around the pool, but this was usually after 3pm,because we went across the road to "rhodes apartment" which was clean and we were made very welcome.we also felt pressurised to eat and drink there by the bar manager "alex",as we had only 1 breakfast and a couple of drinks there he wasnt really interested in talking to you.
there is lots more i could add but safe to say we wont be staying at/or recommending "club daystar"to any one !!!!!!!!!! this place needs a BIG turnaround and if "THOMAS COOK" keep this place on next year i will be standing for prime minister.
this takes nothing away from turkey and icmeler,as we have always found the people very welcoming.

Myself and my partner visited the club daystar for a quick weeks holiday. Upon arrival we had a warm welcome from all the staff but were immediately told about the discount we would get if we ate there that evening. The rooms were lovely and clean and the maids were fantastic.
The bar manager Alex was extremely pushy to the extent that it would put you off staying there which we wouldn't have done if it wasn't for his fiancee Lisa who was occasionally in the bar and we would sit and chat to her. She was an asset to the place despite not being employed by them. She was the first to notice if the music was too loud or was too much swearing on the songs and would duly do her bit to help what customers were in there to enjoy their night. Well done Lisa and keep up the good work!
The rest of the staff were lovely although you could see the pressure Alex put on them to harass customers to stay for drinks and food. I understand they work on commission but the more pressure you get the more it puts you off!
All in all i was a lovely week and would definitely return to Icmeler, even to the daystar as long as Lisa promised to be there every night ha ha

Aug 2008, Miss D BADGER

Me and my family stayed at club daystar from the 26th july till 9th aug 2008. There was 5 of us 3 adults and 2 children, 14yrs and 10yrs. Arriving at reception it took 20mins for someone to come and actually check us in. They didnt even give us directions to our rooms another guessed actually told us. We were put in two attic rooms which were TINY! Dont forget their was 5 of us placed in 2 rooms which slept 2 people per room! Me and my partner went to reception to complain and ask to be moved as there wasnt enough room for 3 people in one of the rooms, all reception said was sorry you wanted rooms together!! I then had to explain that we only asked for rooms together if it was possible. We then got told that we couldnt move rooms till monday or tuesday, so they would put another bed in the room later that day. So we went for something to eat came back still no other bed in the room! Again went to reception they said they would bring another bed up, half an hour later they brought another bed up, a camp bed, but because the room was that small, they had to completly empty ALL the furniture out of the room on to the BALCONY! The camp bed kept collapsing, so we kept on at reception the next day. We also told them that the air-con kept leaking making the balcony extremely slippy especially with all the furniture on it. They fixed the air-con outside but then it leaked on the inside, but with the campbed up underneath it, it leaked all over the bed, it was absolutly dripping wet!! This was about 11.30pm when we returned to the room that we realised that it was leaking. So we went back to reception, they sent up a maid to check, she actually had the nerve to ask if one of the kids had wet the bed! My partners son is 14 yrs old!! And we had just returned to the room!! At this point me and my partner were getting extremly angry and annoyed with the woman on reception. But this time we had a lovey young man from reception who said that he didnt like the sleeping arrangements and asked if we would like to move in half an hour, after some of the guests had left. At this point it was 12.45pm that we had to quickly pack and change room. The room we changed into was fine, more room for the 3 of us. The only downside to the room, was it was right next to the bar and two of the windows we couldnt open the curtains as one of the windows faced out onto where the staff watched tv and ate, so late at night all you could here was the staffs tv or roudy people from the bar, who have no consideration for others. The other window was looking out on to broken beds, chairs and other massive piles of rubbish!! Another thing dont expect clean towels that often! One family had one set of towels for 2 weeks! They had to pinch clean towels as the maids said there wasnt any!!
Another problem with the aprtments, were that they constantly pestered you to eat at the artments, but going S/C we like to try different places. If we wanted to stay in the same place we would have gone A/I. Alex whos in charge of the bar is lovely with you but only if your eating and drinking there, if your not he wont speak. One family disliked the apartments so much they used the Rhodes Apartments over the road!
Also there is not enough space or sunbeds round the pool. Its also not cleaned very much, it was cleaned once in the two weeks we were there!! one family had to lay on towels round the pool, thats how bad it is, quite a lot of poeple started using the Rhodes Apartments as it was cleaner and better maintained.
The only good thing about the apartments was the location and certian members of staff such as Memo, he's on reception and he's fantastic! Theres also Daniel and James the bar staff, best part of the Apartments!

this hotel was one of the worst i ever stayed at the drink bill was wrong on two occassions, and they even came to room at 4 a.m to get money after girlfriend told them i would pay in morning.
for safety it shocking pool very dirty and the astro turf round the edges is really dirty and very slippy,
room safety very poor for children, a guest son ran into patio window which broke cutting him causing him to have 25 stiches, the window was not toughen and had no stickers on.
bathroom only had towel change every three days and shower never had hot water in morning or night and would soak floor due to lay out and design.

Nov 2007, Mr C Richardson

What a fantastic resort! Icmeler has everything you could possibly want for a great holiday.
We stayed at Club Daystar which was in a good location and only 10 minutes walk away from the resort centre.
Staff here were helpful and friendly and really made our holiday. Thank you Aygun and staff for making our time there so wonderful.
Daystar is basic but then so are most of the apartments we have stayed at in Turkey. The most important thing to us is cleanliness and helpfulness of staff and in that respect, we had no complaints.
Wasn't too keen on nearby Marmaris which was very hectic. We couldn't wait to return to Icmeler which has started to feel like our second home! Can't wait until next May!

I stayed here for a week with my family and I must say I cannot wait to return to Icmeler next year. We had a wonderful time here and I would recommend anyone to come and visit Icmeler, you will not be disappointed.
The people here are great and really make your holiday. Daytime there are plenty of trips to choose from, all reasonably priced and night time you will find there are many many bars and restaurants to choose from.
The apartments we stayed in are basic but we have realised that this is typical in Turkey and as long as you are not planning to cook yourself a 3 course meal you will be fine.
Overall our holiday was fantastic!

Oct 2007, Mrs P Richardson

This was my second time to Icmeler and my first time to Club Daystar Apartments.
The apartments were not too bad - they were clean and well maintained and if you plan just to sleep and have a snack here that's fine. You would struggle to cook anything as the utensils are lacking but with such a great choice of restaurants and bars you don't want to stay in.
For entertainment try Deniz Kapisi or Harmony Bar and also the majestic by the canal. The Holiday Restaurant ( near Selen Hotel) does fab food and is great if you want to watch sports on the big screen.
If you visit Marmaris be prepared for hassle in the bazaar - I found it unbearable which is such a shame as otherwise the resort is great.
Can't wait to go back to Icmeler next year and see all the friends we have made.
