Fantastic hotel all round

"Not able to find any room for complaints at this hotel. Wife and I had a week all inclusive here. Fantastic Turkish food for breakfast lunch and dinner. All staff are brilliant. Helpful. Friendly. Speak and understand enough English to assist with anything. Rooms are cleaned daily and have everything you need and expect. Beach is a healthy 10second walk away. All inclusive drinks are great. The gin and Vodka is not cheap distasteful stuff and the measures are very generous. The larger is perfect for the weather conditions. Light and refreshing and not too strong. Fresh squash water and tea coffee throughout the day too.

Plenty of lovely places to eat and drink along the beach front. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

Do yourself a huge favour and STAY at this FANTASTIC hotel!

"Just returned from Bahar Hotel in Calis booked through the recent Dealchecker offer and all I can say is this place was perfect! I don't normally write reviews so it is saying a lot for me to bother BUT these guys deserve it for the effort they put in looking after all the guests.

Not expecting too much for a well deserved week's rest in August we were pleasantly surprised to see not too many kids, a hotel of just the right size for the personal touch, attentive but not in your face very friendly staff, excellent varied food and the cleanest rooms I've ever stayed at in the Med including the very welcome air con.

Everyone staying there agreed it was a great place and probably our best package holiday ever.

So for a very relaxing, comfortable, friendly, value for money and clean place go to this hotel. You won't regret it.

Wonderful family holiday

"The hotel itself was a pretty hotel with established gardens and flowers, the pool was a good size and over all clean and maintained. The rooms were ample and yes a bit dated but clean and pleasant with good aircon that is included in price. The rooms were cleaned often, towels were changed and bedding changed mid week.

The management were approachable and helpful. The staff were attentive but most of all lots of fun and always had time to help even though they work very long hours in intense heat.

The food at first we enjoyed very much but I can see that familys with young children could be given the choice of some more familiar food. It was more like full board with drinks. Ice creams or snack food would have been nice between meal times.

All this said, we had a brilliant holiday (first in Turkey) We met lovely people and our children all got on and looked after each other which made it very relaxing for us. This was also due to the lovely staff who we will all miss. Oh and by the way the mistake with the water cooler was a simple mistake and was rectified and most of the hotel were not sick, a few were but that could have been due to heat or any number of things. Would love to go again. mini market next door for bottled water and money changers all along the front. Good holiday for price.

1week in this hotel

"the location of this hotel is great for couples and the pool is clean but thats the only good things i could say about this hotel.

the rooms are very basic, we had clean towels and bedding when we arrived but thay had to last all week.

the food was ok on a few nights. although if all the food wasnt eaten that night then it would reappear the next day in the salad or in another main meal.

there was only 1 choice of main meal each day which is no good for allergies or veggies.

we were told we could drink the water from the water cooler as it was bottled water, this was not the case. this water came straight from the dirty hose at the side of the bar that had been sat in a dirty puddle where stray cats had been drinking from. most of the hotel were ill that week.

we were told we could change money here at reception but everytime we asked they told us to come back later and we never got any money changed!

3 star hotel would be too high for this hotel

Lovely relaxing week

"Was a bit sceptical about going to Turkey having heard horror stories but was pleasantly surprised - for the money that we paid (through Olympic Holidays) it was great - the rooms were simple but clean (cleaned every day) and the air conditioning worked (a must!). We loved the food; others didn't; there was always plenty of fresh salads and the chef worked really hard in very hot conditions. The all inclusive label was really full board with drinks, the wine was AWFUL and the spirits were very weak - there was plenty of food at every meal, and most mornings the chef cooked us lovely eggs. It would have been nice to have an ice cream bar etc for the kids and a bit more variety on the drinks. The staff were very attentive and you could see that they worked really hard. A shame that one of them was caught filling up the water cooler with the hosepipe; but he was sacked so I guess the management dealt with this situation. Volleyball was the game of the week and plenty of fun and games was had by the kids and the staff. The kids all got on really well and I think they all had a great holiday. Callis Beach is a nice quiet resort and I felt safe there with my 14 yr old daughter. The beach is nice with loungers and umbreallas for hire. Don't go on the trips organised by Olympic, they are more than double the ones for sale on the front; Seaside and Focus (Speedy) were good. 12 Islands tour is a must and I highly recommend a turkish bath."

DEFINETELY PERFECT

"We (my wife and our two children) have chosen Bahar Hotel for our holiday this summer. To be honest, before going to Turkey we’d got some doubts about our holiday. But having a week at Bahar Hotel has deleted all these. I don’t know which one I should emphasize first. The unbelievable and excellent food? The perfect all-inclusive service? The friendship of the staff? The hospitality of the owners? Maybe the total is the right answer. After this one week experience, we decided not to go to any of those 5star hotels at the rest of our lives. Because at Bahar Hotel, we have got what we need. But we wouldn’t have found this close relationships at those “big 5 star hotels”. We got really sad on the way home, we felt such as we were leaving some part of our family. The good thing is we know where to go next summer :)"

simply the best holiday ever

"We booked late with olympic holidays, expecting not alot for the price we paid. We have been abroad over 30times within 5yrs and have never been to a Hotel that was 3 star.We usually go allinclusive 4* or 5*. The Hotel was better than some 5* Hotels we had stayed in.

This was the first time to Turkey, and when i asked at a travel agents they had never heard anything at all about this Hotel so i checked this site and then we decided for the price if it only a base its a bargain. To our amazement we couldnt have picked a better place. The brochure does this Hotel no justice, its a beautifull Hotel in fact i would say it was the best there. The views from the Hotel over the beach are breath taking. The whole Hotel was immaculately clean. The Staff Fabulous, they are all very hardworking and deserve praise for their hard work, they all seem very happy working for the owner of the Hotel and his beautiful family. Why eat anywhere else in Calais when you have got the best Chef at your Hotel ? Chefs has worked at a 7 star hotel, his food is cooked to perfection, and presentation is perfect. The Hotel doesnt serve full English breakfast, but you can purchase it in the alacarte restaurant for 12tl, the Hotel has plenty of choice for all the meals, I read previous comments about breakfasts etc, and wonder if we where really at the same hotel ! because the food was Fabulous and plenty of it. Fresh bread cooked daily, homemade chips, mashed potato, beef, lamb, chicken, fish, etc, fresh fruit, salads, puddings and cake homemade and delicious. The Chef and his team work veryhard and take great pride in their work. Chefs kitchen is immaculate, i know because my partner Bindi spent time in their cooking with Chef, traditional Indian food, which is served in the alacarte restaurant.

The rooms have airconditioning, a tv , wardrobe and dressing table. The Shower is wonderfull.

We went for a Turkish bath, the place to go is, out of the hotel turn right, but have one asap, because this helps you to tan quicker.

Please note Dalaman Airport is expensive, 2 mcdonalds £25 !! and also when you have passed passport control there is no getting out for a fag, and that's not good if your plane is delayed.

We wish the Owner and his Family all the best for the future and Thank all the Staff for the perfect holiday we had,and we will be returning asap

will definately be returning

"hotel bahar and all its staff was all we were hoping for - a small three storey hotel with approx 36 rooms all with air cond. The rooms were very clean, a little small but plenty of room for 2 (after all we only wanted to sleep in it). The owner and his family and staff ate in the restuarant each night which was very resassuring - The food was plentyful and nobody went hungry as there was always a wide variety for everyone even the fussy eaters. The pool was very clean. As this hotel was small the service was excellent and you had the personal touch off the Manager being on site most of the time who could speak very good English. We felt very welcomed and liked. As it is a small hotel you can gwet to know the other guests quite easily or you can just float around on your own. The all inclusive finished at 11.00 oclock and there wasn't loud music played after that time. The Turkish Bath down the road is a must and all the trips we went on were great value for money - At the time of going it was better to take English pounds rather than turkish lire as you could pay in English money and you got a far better deal. Calis is lovelly just as described - this hotel is on the front and on walking around i didn't see one that looked as nice - Their is a promenade on the front which you can walk for approx 1 miles in each direction, the scenery is out of this world, the weather a little too hot at times but the holiday overall was excellent 10/10 and we will definately be returning to Turkey and hopefull the same hotel. Calis is not very commercialized, plenty of cafes, restaurants, a few t-shirt clothes shops, supermarkets, bag and jewellery shops etc. I believe there is one night club in Calis"

where do i begin !!!!

"on arrival to the hotel we found the rooms very basic .....we also were in the week where they had just started fully inclusive ....shall i just say that the 2nd week was a little improved to the first week., although if you like salad you will be fine oh and watermelon...there isnt much of a selection and found we ate out a few nights due to chicken and meat being served raw ..if you are lookin for a good english breakfast then you wont get it here ...there was cold meats , watermelon, hard boiled eggs , cereals and basically that was it

first time doing fully inclusive and was not impressed ...you have to pay for ice creams and was told as we were leaving the owner was taking the ice creams away anyway because of the confusion .

Be careful if you have a late pick up on the day of leaving as he charges £5 for your dinner and £10 for the extra time in the room ...or you get a not very nice roll made up to take with you.

The rooms were changed everyday and had fresh towels .....this hotel is ok for a week and 2 weeks was too long ...this shouldnt be a fully inclusive hotel as it is more like a full board basis ....the waitors etc are lovely and the pool very clean

the resort over all was nice ..the beach wasnt very appealing .....

if you do any trips i recommend you go to SEASIDE TOURS and see cushty mushty , we did some amazing tours and not very expensve at all ....

Excellent Service

"My adult daughter and I wanted to stay in Calis, as we know it well and like it very much. I found the Bahar with Olympic Holidays at an amazing price on all inclusive. All inclusive was a new venture for the hotel, so Mr Sarda, the owner, was on a learning curve but could not have been more attentive. There were few holidaymakers at the hotel so we were asked each day what we would like to eat for lunch and dinner, almost a la carte. Food was great and the service by all the staff was excellent.

The bedrooms need updating but the sheets and towels were replaced daily and towels were plentiful. Beach towels are not provided, but are needed as the hotel is on the sea front and it is nice to have the choice of pool or sea. Pool was very large and clean.

The Olympic rep, Emre was very good too and provided lots of info and of course the tours, which were really cheap and good.

All in all, an excellent holiday.

Absolutely fantastic holiday. 2nd...

"Absolutely fantastic holiday. 2nd time back this year and even better than last year.

A fantastic undiscovered part of Turkey with some of the best sunsets in the world. Not only a great resort but a lovely hotel with great staff. Would recommend to anyone!!

The food in the joining lighthouse restaurant is lovely and the staff are so nice we didn’t want to leave! Next year would consider going for longer and we even started looking at property in the area even though we've never considered it before.

Situated directly on the promenade just a few steps from the beach and along the promenade are so many bars and restaurants that you could eat somewhere different every night. Worth taking a trip on the water taxi to nearby Fethiye for a change of scenery where there are some lovely shops and restaurants.

The views from Calis beach are breathtaking and the sunset every night is beautiful. Hotel is clean and has a lovely pool. Breakfasts are very nice too as we were only b & b so didn’t eat any other time.

Would definitely recommend this hotel but not for young people looking for clubs and bars as there is only 2 bars and one rather seedy club, MCM, in the area!!
