The Bay Hotel

As a single traveler the Kantary Bay hotel was perfect, my room was a double with cooking area, the staff never stop smiling and cannot do enough for you. Hired a scooter most days ( costs 250 BHT ) to get out and about , followed the coast and found the most spectacular views and places to eat i would recommend Kantary Bay to anyone young or old, cannot wait to go back

The Bay Hotel is situated in the village of Cape Panwa - it's a very secluded and peaceful place - far removed from Patong. The rooms are comfortable with bedroom, kitchen area and living area plus bathroom with separate shower - the living room area has a DVD/CD player. Had a one week trip in February to the Bay Hotel in Cape Panwa. The Cape Panwa area is quite far from the hustle and bustle of Kata, Karon and Patong beaches - so this is a nice place if you prefer quietness. If you want to go shopping, prepare to pay 800-1000 THB for the taxi to the Karon beach. I was staying in a studio in the Bay side wing. The studio was really a big one and very practical. Stayed at The Bay Hotel for the last week in January.Not sure if we received the room we booked or an upgrade but for not much more than £30 a night we had a suite with large lounge, bedroom and bathroom. We were on the top floor with fabulous views. Lower floors might not be quite as good. The rooms were quite dated but they were well serviced. Wifi available in our room. Breakfast completely OK. Easy access to the sister hotel which had lovely gardens and a pleasant beach. Complex was in a fairly isolated spot which suited us. Good cheap... more
