Absolutely fabulous appartments 4 star rating but well worth a 5. This looks like a hotel from the reception area and the landings have lovely red & gold carpets. Appartments are modern and stylishly furnished with wooden flooring and a/c free of charge. They have dishwasher, mircrowave, big fridge freezer, washing machine only downfall was there was no instructions in english for the washing machine and towel change was every 4 days as you are expected to wash them yourselves. We were on floor 7 and had lovely views over the rooftops with the hills on one side and the sea on the other, the balconies are large with glass railings so if you end up on a high floor (11 in total) dont look down if youre scared of heights! Nice pool area although not that large and there were always plenty of sunbeds but that was maybe because its late summer. The beach and sea front are literally down the road. There are plenty eating places nearby and some lovely restaurants down on the promenade although not many bars in the vacinity there are more about 15 -20 min walk away. The Marina is very classy with some lovely bars and restaurants well worth a visit and maybe a bit longer than half an hour to walk there but only about 7euro in taxi. Overall the appartments are a bit of a walk from main places but well worth it as they are top class

Booked independently last October, what a bargain. We paid just over 1500.00 for 2 weeks July 29th -12th August. Hotel is beautiful, clean and the staff are very friendly. Our room was lovely and very spacious. We have 2 boys aged 14 and 4 , they slept in the living room on the pull out sofa and we had a good size bedroom. The marina was a good 30-45 minute walk and cost 10 euro in a taxi. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Their is also a little shop attached next door and again the staff are lovely. We all had a fantastic holiday and are hoping to book again soon.

We stayed at this hotel from 6 July 08-18 July 08. I wanted to write to let people know who are going that the hotel is a really good hotel. We booked independantly and struggled to find reviews. The apartments are very clean and new. We were on the second floor just above the bar, which was noisy a couple of nights. Our friends were on the 10th floor opposite to the pool, they had great views but one friend found the height scary, the glass partition doesn't help. Personally I prefer a solid balcony, it makes it more private. There were times when I felt I was living in a goldfish bowl! However, this is a small moan, we were all very impressed with the hotel. There were four of us sharing our apartment. Our teenagers had the lounge/bedroom, it is a bit tight on space, but we managed fine. I did notice our friends rooms were slightly bigger. Everything is new and clean. I didn't mind cooking in the kitchen at all because everything was brand new. Having a washing machine was great too, however there is nowhere to hang your washing. Luckily we took a line and pegs so made a makeshift one of the balcony. We didn't get told off but I got the impression it wasn't really allowed as you don't see many towels or washing hanging over the balconies. The pool was lovely and warm, there are plenty of beds, however umbrellas were scarce. There is no restaurant but a bar which serves snacks. We found this hotel brilliant value and would definitely stay again if we could get it at a good price. We also loved Benalmadena.

Same as another reviewer... we arrived at 12 and wasn't allowed to book in till 3, which is fine if an apology had been given by the rude blonde haired receptionist. We thought, great start to our holiday! However, it did get better, Our one bedroomed apartment was what could be discribed as luxury, fully kitted out with everything a family of four would need. The seaview from our 8th floor apartment was second to none. The pool was well used by us all we found it clean and tidy. The spa was although expensive a heavenly treat. The location was fantastic, very central to all things such as shops and attractions. The people of Benalmadena all seemed very friendly and helpful. We will definately be booking again.

Me and my boyfreing stayed here for five nights in July and all I can say is shocking! We arrived at the apartments at twelve, couldn't check in until 3pm as they siad they were fully booked.
We arrived in the room to find that there was no TV, the shower wasn't working, the washing machine wasn't working and neither was the microwave or the dishwasher.
We contacted reception who said they would send maintainance and provide us with a TV.
The following day we tried the washing machine and the microwave again - still wasn't working, reception siad there was nothing they could do about it as parts were needed and the apartments were fully booked so we couldn't switch rooms either.
We didn't get an apology, the explanations were that it's an apartment and stay in a hotel next time!!!!
We were offered a room swap the day before we were due to leave but by then it was pointless.
It's in an awful area of town too, full of smelly rubbish bins. Also don't stand near the pool under the balconies, people spit from there all the time.
It's a shame nothing working, the reception staff didn't care and it was in an awful area, as it did look the part.
Please avoid!

This hotel/apartments were excellent, definitely a 4* plus, clean and modern a real home from home. We booked a one bedroom apartment and was delighted to actually get a two bedroom complete with spiral staircase to an very large roof terrace (safe for children as it had quite high sides) . The pool area was clean and you could always get a sun lounger. I did think the bar/cafe was a wee bit expensive but there are two good supermarkets just up the road, one being a British one the other a local which had really nice bread. The hotel is situated in the quieter end of Benalmadena but it was just over 1euros each to get a bus along to the Marina or torremolinos, IF you've got kids Tivoli world is a must and you can see it from the hotel.Aqualand is very good too.
I would definatly go to this hotel again.

this hotel was excellent and fully deserves a 10/10. the location is ideal as it is only 5 min walk at most to the beach. there are plenty of shops and stalls near hand and the hotel has a small shop attached to the side of it which is great for phone top ups, and presents etc. also there lots of supermarkets and restaurants near hand so there is no need to have to walk too far.
the hotel itself is beautiful and clean as soon as yo walk in, it is very well kept and is i believe a 5* hotel. the rooms are excellent as they comprise of a good sized living room with a comfortable double sofa bed a wide screeen tv and plenty of storage room for any presents or things bought. the kitchen is great and has a washing machine and large fridge freezeer, however there is no actual oven just hobs to cook on and a microwave. the bedroom is also a good size and the whole place is modern and well decorated. also there is a large balcony with plenty of space for lilos etc.
this hotel has a great spa service discounted by 10% for ressidents and is really worth going to, also the pool area is great with plenty of loungers at any time of the day so there is no need to rush and get up in the morning.
the staff in the hotel are also very good and speak very good english and cant do enough to help. i hope this review helps and enjoy your holiday.

We stayed here in April 08, and I have to agree with the previous comment. 10/10! Excellent hotel, gorgeous rooms, definitely 4* plus....... Loved it so much that we booked to go back again 8 weeks later.................... Thats where the review changes slightly......... Just arrived home, and have to say that we were slightly disappointed. The carpeted areas...............along the corridors and the landing area where the lifts are were getting quite dirty............ Not sure whether the hotel owns a vaccum cleaner. The room wasnt cleaned at all whilst we were there, which was 5 days, and no clean towels, despite putting the hanger on the door saying "please clean" every day.
It was quite sad actually to see how standards have slipped.
The pool area was very busy, with quite a lot of children, which wasnt really a problem. What was a problem was the amount of litter around the pool. Children were playing with water bombs, so there must have been hundreds of burst bits of balloons floating in the pool and around it.
Not quite as eager to go back this time unfortunately......... still would give it 7/10 though. Just hope that standards dont drop too much

Hotel more than wonderful, could not have asked for a better place to stay it was 5* plus, we have stayed in 4* before and could not beleive this was only 1* better.
Hotel staff where more than happy to help.
Would use this hotel again and again it had more than everthing you need, the kitchen was very well equiped, with more than you need for a holiday.
The bathroom was out of this world, power shower and jets for a massage.
Tv in bedroom and sitting room, and for the first time in a hotel, sofa and chairs where excelent.
Balacony was large with 4 wooden table and chairs.

Very nice hotel. Refurbishment almost complete. As stated has everything you could ask for. Cooker, not used much. Fridge freezer, used alot for the ice. microwave, dishwasher and washing machine!! Flat screen Tv in sitting area and TV in bedroom. Also a sound system you can plug your MP3 player into, speakers in ceiling. Swimming pool was open but did not use it.
One word of of warning though. I booked this through Hays travel for 4 adults. I paid for transfer to hotel and they got us a Taxi. The taxi wasnt big enough for 4 adults with 4 cases, I had to pay an extra 10 euro to get a bigger taxi. Thay also wanted another 59 euro for the return. Told them to stuff it and got the train for 1.25 euro direct to the airport. Will be taking this up with Hays travel.

Just returned after a 16day vacation in the Arco Sur principe. This was our first stay in the Arco Sur but will not be the last. Accommodation excellent, modern, clean and well equipped. Washing machine with tumble dryer used 4 times and impressed with its performance. Kitchen has ceramic hob and built in microwave which doubles as an oven/grill, dishwasher (not used) and large american style fridge freezer. Flat screen TV in lounge has BBC1, eurosport, sky news and CNN being the english speaking channels additional TV in bedroom with the same english channels. The huge balcony, got the sun all day from 11.00am. The maids clean your room and change towels etc every fourth day. We found this to be adequate. The location was good in as much as it was completely central with no heart attack hills to climb. However there are apartment blocks nearby which have seen better days and although it did not bother us it may put some people off the area. The check in time is 3p.m. and check out 12noon. So if like us your flight is earlier you must be prepared to wait until the allotted time. The other guests in the hotel were mainly couples (Spanish and Scandinavian).
