Royale Bintang Hotel

a good location close to 2 MRT stations, several malls, a small number of bars and a street full of outdoor restaurants. the hotel is a bit old. However the pool is great, they have a good breakfast buffet and the staff were polite and friendly. It is however not luxurious. One word of warning, they clear away the breakfast buffet very quickly.

Had a pleasant stay at the Royale Bintang. They seem to have done a partial renovation on the rooms. The bathrooms seem much nicer than a couple of yrs before. The breakfast is 1 of the best I've had at a hotel. There was a great variety of western and local foods, tho it was expensive if not included in ya room rate. I stayed at this hotel in KL and it was priced at £39 per night for double bed. All i can say is that I have never felt so welcomed in any large hotel before as much as I have been welcomed here. The staff knew me by my name and were completely aware of my every need. They were so welcoming despite being such a large hotel and having stayed at the Dorchester London, I can truly say The Binlang is on top of its game in comparison to even the Dorchester. We stayed at the Royal Bintang KL for one night, as a stop over before returning to Europe. We attended a wedding in Bali a few days before and had stopped over in KL before Bali. That time we stayed at Crowne Plaza so I can make some comparison. My wife and I booked this hotel through a Malaysia Airlines package and were originally supposed to be staying at a more upmarket hotel until we were told there were no rooms left there. Our travel agent gave us this hotel as another option. Fortunately for us, we were only staying one night in this hotel as we were off to Langkawi the next day, because if we'd stayed another night, I think my wife may have thrown herself out the window. We stayed in the Royal Bintang for our first night as the Traders was full. We subsiquently moved in to the Traders and would recommend Royal Bintang hotel as best over all. Service is good, rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast service is excellent value for money. We wish we had booked this hotel thoughout our five day visit. At 32 pound per night b+b it is superb value. Have fun!

My husband and I stayed at The Royale Bintang Hotel for two nights in early September 2007 and found it very good. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the food delicious. The room was nice and the shower great. Had a veiw of the Petronas towers, which are just fantastic. Highly recommended.

We went to Kuala Lumpur and stayed in this hotel for 3 nights from Sept 4-7. It location is within walking distance to LRT and monorail stations also many shopping centers, restaurants, and the famous food street Jalan Alor. Our deluxe room had twin size bed, mini bar, cable tv, safety box deposit, hair dryer, iron & iron board. The room was clean and quite spacy. The swimming pool was not too big and there was jacuzzi also at 3rd floor. I would consider to stay in this hotel again if we come to KL again.

Roayale Bintang is in the middle of the main shopping area. Great location...... walking distance to several malls, the MRT, etc. The breakfast was OK... nothing too great. I suppose we were there at its peak so very very crowded. I would surely stay there again and recommend the hotel to all. We had wanted a room facing the Petronas. They gave it to us on the second day. The rooms are clean and nice.

stayed here for 4 nights july 2007. the hotel is in a good position with lots of shopping centres close by. the hotel rooms are a reasonable size and our room was very clean and well maintained. we were located on the 8th floor (non smoking) and had a good view of the petronas towers. traffic noise from below was not a problem and we didn't experience any disturbance from other rooms.
