Occidental Hotel

I stayed four nights at the Hotel Occidental in May 07. For the price that I paid the value was excellent.
The Hotel is very clean, the staff gave great service, and the breakfast was fine.
The location is great, five minutes to downtown, and right next to Balboa Park for the Zoo etc.
I would say this is the place to stay if you are on a budget. The hotel can be booked with bathrooms ensuite or not, I had a room without a bathroom, but there were plentiful and they were clean.
The rooms were great with a TV/DVD fridge, microwave, cutlery, plates etc.
