I have never written a review before , but I had to write this review about the wonderful holiday I had at the Albatross Amoudara.George and Maria the owners were very welcoming and would always be available should I need them.The apartment was basic but clean, and had all I needed. the apartment was cleaned and the bed linen and towels changed twice a week. Breakfast was available to guests and was served at the pool bar.Maria's homemade Orange Marmalade is not to be missed !!!! Lunch was also available, served at the pool bar, and Maria and George would always be happy to make just a sandwich for their guests if required.The pool area was always clean and tidy with plenty of sunbeds and sunshades. Amoudara is an up and coming resort with buidings spinging up everywhere.I liked its' location because it was safe and central and had the most wonderful beach, where I would sit and have a cold drink at Popis' Taverna and just watch the world go by. The bus links to Heraklion are very good and were running every half hour.
All said and done I hope the developers dont over develope this little gem of a place.
