I have travelled far and wide, visited a good mix of places including other parts of Egypt and this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I rarely complain and basically always make the best of things but this place made this simple task almost impossible. I was “all... more

Well where do i start, 95% of the staff are perverts and want pictures of any young blond girl or any woman who has the misfortune of staying there, OK if you're Gary glitter. The food is the same shriveled up tasteless muck every night, and judging by the 15 people not... more

enjoyable
I booked this all inclusive holiday to escape Xmas at short notice. After reading various bad reports about the hotel I was rather concerend. However we had a most enjoyable two weeks and found none of the complaints justified. The room was well appointed and very clean as was the rest of the hotel. The food could have been better but there was no shortage and always something reasonable to eat. The staff were friendly and helpfull and for what we paid we were more than pleased. The pool is small but very clean and you can use the much better facilities in the two newer sister hotels next door if you wish. All in all excellent value for money and recommended to those on a budget.
Lovely hotel
..pity the staff training was totally lacking. We found only a couple of friendly staff members, Waleed in the restaurant and Mamhoud at the pool. I went with 2 of my daughters, 1 with their boyfriend and my 2 grandsons, We were told point blank by a certain staff member that 'we dont like the English'. The hotel and grounds are very nice apart from the smell from the 'recycled' water used to water the gardens...phew! We had 2 rooms overlooking the pool so no complaints there. The food wasn't anything to write home about unless you were Russian or German. The animation team went out of their way to NOT include the very few English guests in any of the 'organised games' if thats what you could call 1 skipping game (where the kids wern't allowed to join in) the odd game of darts and a daily 'club dance' which was about as entertaining as a bout of Pharoahs Revenge! The evening entertainment was at an open air venue which was freezing. The pool was soooo cold at 11c that nobody could use it! We had a couple of trips with a local tour operator which he organised very well. Quad biking in the desert was great , until I became ill and had to be brought back to civilisation on the guides quad. Luxor trip was amazing and although we had been to the Valley of the Kings before , we hadn't been inside Tuthankhamuns tomb, to actually see his body and how well preserved it is was fascinating. This was our 4th trip to Egypt but the 1st to Hurghada, I much prefer Sharm or Naama Bay, we wouldn't go back to Hurghada.
Jasmine Village
Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel for the week before christmas and although we enjoyed our stay at Jasmine village, certain aspects of the holiday were spoilt purely due to the sheer ignorance and rudeness of the majority of the staff. The majority of the staff appeared to dislike the English and did not hide this fact. Another major problem was the language barrier, the staff at this particular hotel knew very little or sometimes even no English, making communication extremley difficult. The food was very basic and of poor quality without any variety, and exactly the same food was served everyday. Besides these faults there were good points to the holiday. Our room was lovely with a huge king size bed and was cleaned and tidied every day imaculately. The pool area was good with a beach bar and the staff in this area were much more polite and friendly, nothing like the restauraunt staff. The weather was lovely, especially for December and there was a private beach on the complex which was also nice. Your stay includes the all inclusive use of Ali Baba and Alladin as well as Jasmine Village and Ali Baba is much better than Jasmine.
Nice grounds and beach
we stayed in this hotel for 1 week before xmas. The hotel is very nice and clean but the food is terrible. Yes you can always find something to fill your stomach but the presentation and heat of the food could be improved. There are very little signs to tell you what is actually being served and if you get from the self service then its quite often only lukewarm. The service from some of the staff was average to say the least. Overhaul, it is not an hotel we would choose to go back to.
great location
just got back had a great week the hotel is in a great spot 6km from airport 10 mins £2 in a taxi to hurghada old town which is like a mad house of street sellers but i felt ok as they leave you alone if you say no thank you the gardens and beach are clean and safe wasnt so keen on mini zoo mainly because guests mainly russians let thier kids poke stuff at the monkeys etc the staff overall were good if you are nice to them they are nice to you although getting a table in the restaurent wasnt that easy . the old style bungalow rooms are clean if a bit shabby the new two story block by the pool are very smart the hotel house keeping is excellent and no request goes un answered went with my 15 yrs daughter on great day trip to luxor long day but worth every penny £45 each and the half day snorkle with the Aqua club on the beach £15 is very good the sea is warm and teaming with huge colourful fish and coral reefs you can use the two hotels next door as well overall i got what i paid for and some
Not Very Good
Stayed at the Jasmine in April First of all the rooms are very basic and in a state of disrepair our room the paint was peeling of the walls the bathroom was extremly small with a rusty dirty old bath and a hole in the shower cubicle which enabled you to see out side this we had to get filled in straight away. As for the restaurant this was just a joke you have to queue to get in which i have never done at any all inclusive hotel we have stayed at ,when you get to the front of the queue your asked how many people so we said 2 when eventually led into the restaurant you will find it is very scruffy. You are led to a table which as not been cleaned or reset and sat down with total strangers we only went in the restaurant Once in the whole 2 weeks we were their so we ate out every single night. The waiters stand around talking when there are tables to be cleared and reset. This is not 4* at best 2*.On the plus side the grounds and pool area are fine and spotlessly clean and the pool staff are ok plus the beach is finealso very clean.
Horrible and rude
Telephone system in this country is horrible. My family tried in vain to contact me, everyday and several times a day, to no avail. Tried phone, email to the hotel, faxes, nothing found me!! Food was quite terrible, lots of bread, poor quality vegetables, little or no proteins Service was also very poor, staff generally do not like visitors, we cause inconvenience to them
Lovely hotel
Lovely hotel, with friendly staff and nice environment. Most I liked that the territories of three hotels - Jasmine Village, Ali Baba and Aladdin - are united, so you do not feel trapped, and you may use infrastructures of that three hotels. Aquapark Titanik just in front of the hotel. Very good sandy beach, nice jazz music near Diving Center through the whole day. Meal is pretty good too. Funny zoo. Very well shaped green territory. Nice, really nice hotel - would recommend as a family resort, to those, who like calm, restful places. Hurghada is only 15 minutes by car for noisy nightlife (if you wish) :-).
wonderful egypt
I would come back. the staff is great, the service very good. good meal. everybody is smiling to you everytime. thank you
Delightful, charming hotel - would definitely go back
Jasmine Village was great - I would highly recommend it for families with young children as it boasts a little farm and mini zoo where you can meet ponies, goats, pelicans, ducks, monkeys etc. There is a mini-train which runs the length of the resort picking up near the beach and dropping off at the hotel reception. The pool was wonderful for a fitness swimmer like me because it is rectangular in shape rather than a fancy swirly shape like many hotel resort pools. The beach was clean with ample shading and attentive staff. Also Jasmine Diving Centre has fine facilities. We stayed in one of the bungalows nearer to the beach and it was very relaxing. There is a discotheque for night-time entertainment, plus a billard room in the hotel, crazy golf, tennis courts, a good mini-football pitch and the usual massage and gym areas. We did full board and the food was good and not too repetitive - my only quibble with the breakfast is not having decent cornflakes - but that's me being British! The other guests were mostly German and Russian (we went during winter time - December) and I think I was the only English person there with my Egyptian husband! The hotel reception is warm and welcoming and the staff friendly. All-in-all this was a very relaxing resort to stay on and I would definitely go back.
