Having booked this holiday last october, we were a bit unsure as what to expect but we needn't have worried, the apartments are first class, very modern,clean and the owners are lovely and very helpful, their pizzas are wonderful. Our children 10yrs and 7yrs had a great time in the pool all day, there was plenty of other children there for them to play with even though the complex is small -14 apartments in all, this only made it as everyone was very friendly and made the holiday. Buses and taxis were really cheap so you could pop off into Petra or Moloyvos, tavernas in Anaxos were plentyful. The only downside of the apartments is the steps going up to the first floor balcony apartment B1, be very careful as the air conditioning pipe drops water onto the marble steps and is extremely slippy and you could have a really nasty fall, I know out of bitter experience!!!! The rep Vee spoke to the owners and hopefully this will be sorted out in time. Altogether we had a lovely holiday in Nautilus apartments and would definately recommend this to other travellers.

Absolutely first class apartments and definately the best I have ever stayed in in Greece. The apartments are really spacious and immaculately clean. Nice bathroom and big shower. Most apartments have two balconies which is another nice bonus. The owners are really nice and nothing is too much trouble for them and they serve lovely Pizzas!! Would recommend these apartments to anyone and if i ever travel to Anaxos again these would be where i would stay as nothing else compares.

Just returned from a lovely stay at the Nautilus Apartments in Lesbos. The owners were lovely, they were exceptionally friendly and were always there for advice on the island. One of them even taught my husband how to play 'back gammon.' The apartments were cleaned to a very high standard six times a week. The pool was fine and there were sun beds to help you relax. We found the apartment to be a very good size and it was not noisy at night. The food was very nice especially the pizzas. The apartments are about 10 minute walk from the beach and main range of tavernas. A must is the Greek night on a Sunday night, the belly dancer was a real entertainer! The Anaxos Hotel and Lakis Apartments were both on a main road to the beach and at night it could be very noisy. We defiantly had the best deal at the Nautilus!

stayed here in july, what can we say other than it was first class. The apartments are beautiful and well kept. As previously stated by others, the complex is run by a superb family nothing is too much trouble. They even went to get anchovies for my husbands pizza!! Must also comment on such a great first choice rep "Vee" she was so helpful and friendly. Anaxos was lovely, peaceful and relaxing. It reminded us of the first time we went to greece some 20yrs+. There were enough good tavernas and snack bars close to and if you ventured out even more in Petra & Molyvos! we hired a car for a few days and found the island to be beautiful with many lovely secluded beaches , churches and many more interesting things to see. Cannot wait to go back there next year!

We have just come back from a week staying at Nautilus Apartments in Anaxos. It was the best holiday we have ever had! Anaxos is a lovely little place, perfect for couples (young & old) and for families and it is only a 20 min bus ride to the historical town of Molyvos. The beach is great and there is a excellent variety of places to each, drink and relax. Stayed at the Nautilus Apartments, which is in its 2nd season. The place and facilities are excellent, the family who run the place are warm and friendly and will ensure you have a great stay. They also have the best pizzas in Lesvos and should not be missed. We will definitely go back next year!

My wife and I ,along with two friends, stayed at the "Nautilus" 14th to 28th June. The apartments are possibly the best we have stayed in and are spotlessly clean thanks to excellent cleaning staff. The owners Rita,Cristos and Eresto are lovely people and provide a very good quality service. We would recommend this property to anyone that likes a bit of quality in the middle of a bit of true Greece where you walk past donkeys and goats to get to the beach or tavernas! We are looking forward to a return visit at the earliest opportunity and normally say that we never go anywhere twice, this being the exception !!

What a lovely lovely place. My husband and I (we're both 36)stayed for 2 weeks and I was heartbroken to leave. The apartments and owners are lovely. If you are thinking of booking a holiday here you will not be disappointed unless you are one of those sad people in life who like to find something or anything to moan about ! Anaxos is a lovely place. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, lazing on the beach and chilling out then you will love it here. The beach isn't the most beautiful in Greece but it is still very nice. The Aegen sea is gorgeous and was wonderfully warm (OK so we had a 48 degree heatwave while we were there!). There is a little traditional Greek bar at the top of the road by the Nautilus apartments called Sarandos. It's really a local's spot, with Greek men setting the world to rights and fiddling with their worry beads - yet the owners were so welcoming and hospitable. It was a perfect spot for a pre or post dinner Ouzo. You can also jump on the bus (just outside the apartments) and be in Petra in 10 minutes and Molyvos in 15 minutes. Molyvos harbour is, in particular, a gorgeous spot for dinner - we had a table right by the water at the Captain's Table restaurant. Very romantic. It is also reasonably priced and they do not charge a hefty premium for the location. I could wax lyrical about the apartments, the resort and Lesbos but like many others I'd like to keep it a little bit of a secret. All I can say is that I travel extensively for work and it's only the 2nd time I have cried when I have left !

What can I say, we have just returned from two weeks at these stunning apartments! This was our third time to Anaxos and these are by far the best apartments ever. Owners are very friendly and cannot do enough for you, dont want to say too much, would like to keep this the best kept secret of Anaxos! I only have one complaint ........... I wish I could have stayed for a month! Pure heaven : ) Will we be back, definately ***********

We've just returned from a 2 week stay at the Nautilus Apts and have to say that we are disappointed by them. I travelled with my hubbie and 3 year old daughter and was given apartment A2. Unfortunately, this aparment is directly over the new gym which is not finished yet and we had to endure a couple of nights of loud banging and drilling - this was at 12 midnight one night!! Hubbie had to go and complain twice as noise was keeping our daughter awake. There is a BBQ Greek Night once a week on Sundays with live music which is fine if you like that sort of thing, but is very loud and goes on late if you have young children. Our balcony was directly in front of where the workmen had all their tools and they were walking backwards and forwards alot of the time so our balcony was not very private and we felt uncomfortable sitting out on it. All the apartments have 2 balconies but the larger ones all face the same way - towards the swimming pool - so it can feel like you are sitting in a goldfish bowl sometimes. The one bedroomed apartments are more suitable for couples than a family as the wall separating the bedroom from the sitting area has 2 large square holes in - I am presuming this is because the air conditioning unit is situated in the sitting area and in order for it to reach the bedroom, there has to be some opening. However, this made it quite difficult for us to get our 3 year old asleep as the light from the sitting area flooded in through the 2 holes, so hubbie and I had to sit in the dark waiting for her to fall asleep. The kitchen is fairly well equipped with plates and crockery, but you have to bring your own corkscrew, tin opener and washing up items. The small oven/grill is good by self catering standards but does take some time to warm up. We only ate once at the bar/restaurant and had burgers which were out of a packet and not very nice, but I believe the pizzas are wonderful. Cristos and his wife were friendly, but the others pretty much ignored us, but that maybe because we didn't spend much time round the bar. The swimming pool is lovely, but more umbrellas are needed for shade. The cleanliness of the apartments cannot be faulted. The girls did an amazing clean up job 6 days a week. We were disappointed with the apartments, but I think it is the luck of the draw as to which apartment you get and if you are a couple or on a girlie hoilday are are happy to stay up late and sit in the bar then these apartments are probably good for you, but I wouldn't recommend them to families with small children.

The Nautilus apartments are fantastic! the rooms are lovely - the apartments are only just into their second season and they are immaculate. spacious with really well kitted out rooms. we were in apartment A5 on the lower floor. We had a nice sized bedroom with plenty of cupboard space and a balcony off to one side where you could see the sea. The bathroom was really nice and very clean...with a HUGE shower!! then you have a livingroom/kitchen area which has a sofabed so can double up for an extra sleeping space - there are another set of double doors which lead to another balcony/terrace the whole width of the apartment. the kitchen is well equipped for greece with plenty of cutlery, glasses, crocks etc. Cooking wise you get 2 main hob rings and a smaller water boiling ring with a one cup pot for making coffee/tea...and you also get a little oven/grill which works really well for making toast. the best standard of accomodation i've experienced in several trips to the greek islands. There's a nice sized pool with sunloungers and sun shades. The bar area is really smart with a flat screen tv (which was showing footy if you asked!) some sofas and some normal tables. Cristos and his wife Rita run the place with cristos' brother Aresti and they are all lovely and pull a lovely large alfa in iced tankard!! OOh and the food...wow! the pizzas are AMAZING!! and huge - really worth a try as is the barbeque that they do once a week...really lovely. there's also a selection of pasta and grilled dishes on the menu too. as for the position - its really nice - down a track so its set away from the road in a quiet area...about a 10 min walk to the beach. There are some lovely tavernas in anaxos...including the one just to the left when you walk up to the road (costas' i think? nice food and great staff). there are two ways to the beach with supermarkets and tavernas along the way. our fave taverna was down the road to the beach on the left (past poseidon and lakis studios) just before you hit the beach - can't remember the name but it began with M and the chap who serves is incredibly smiley! If you take the other road to the beach walk to the end past anaxos hotel and when you get to the main beach road on your left is a cocktail bar...yummy cocktails and they have happy hours where they are all 3.50 euros. ooh and if you're feeling energetic you can walk to the really pretty town along the coast - petra - takes around 25/30mins. all in all a fab holiday in a beautiful quiet relaxing resort in a top quality accomodation...on and island that still isn't too commercialised..... And from what i saw Anaxos has pretty much the best beach on the island (but if you get chance visit Tarti in the south - was deserted when we got there but was incredible - very beautiiful) Enjoy!
