I stayed here for a long weekend with my partner; hotel was great in a good location just outside centre of town (within walking distance or short taxi ride).
This hotel was lovely really nicely decorated and clean. Had good amenities, nice bar, and pleasant staff. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice.
Riga itself was very interesting whilst it caters for the stag weekend culture, you can avoid it entirely. We had lovely meals found great cafes and bas and visited the Occuation museum. Not a place for shopping but the little craft market in the old town was good.
It was still very cold when we went and there was an outdoor ice rink. We also went to the Lido which is on the way into town it was a huge log cabin with bars and restaurants and some theme park rides - again as was quite snowy it had a lovely atmosphere - lots of lights and more outdoor skating.
Food was great too. We went to third floor restaurant which is the most expensive but still reasonable by UK standards. Well worth a visit - an interesting city break.
