The Hilton hotel is modern so fits in with Singapore where there seems to be construction everywhere. The hotel is excellent, nice restaurants and good service.
Go see Raffles for some old fashioned style - there is good shopping there too - the souvenirs are good, but quite expensive. The long bar is a disappointment - it has gone all American with peanuts all over the floor which means that there are lots of pigeons around. We also went to the island to see the dolphins, it was ok.
The most spectacular was the thunder and lightning afterwards - breathtaking.
