The food was variable, lacking in 5 portions of fruit and vegetables! Good selection at breakfast time.
The set 4 course evening meal was generally of a good standard and quantities were sufficient! Excellent fondue evening!
The service was slow, generally taking one and half hours each evening but the staff very pleasant.
The rooms were adequate and certainly no more than a 2 star. They were in urgent need of refurbishment.
The cleaning of rooms left a lot to be desired, beds made and that was about it! Bath and loo never cleaned during the entire week’s holiday.
No heating on in rooms until late afternoon (6pm on one occasion!) and certainly no hot water at 3pm!
Walk to main lift at Pleney took about 10 mins.
If you want a cheap hotel and don't mind going without the extras, then the Beau is for you!

We have been staying at this hotel for a number of years, as a couple and also with family and friends. We have always been made very welcome and nothing we wanted or needed has ever been too much trouble. Yes, the beds do sag and are in need of upgrading, but the pace is undergoing a floor by floor refurbishment as finances allow. The food is good as long as you do not expect it to be English - after all you are in France! The pace of service is also French - expect to take time over your food and not bolt it down. Use mealtimes as a social occasion and get into the French way of doing things, you will enjoy yourself so much more.
The Super Morzine lift to get you up to Avoriaz is 5 mins walk and the ski bus stops just outside the hotel if you want to get round to the Pleny lift. There is also a Petit Train to transprt you around Morzine. Morzine has a vibrant nightlife and is only 5 mins walk away. Claire will give you a code to get back into the hotel if you want to be out after 11pm.
