Very simple but adequate from liamnuttall
I recently travelled to the Perkes in Laganas with 8 of my friends. The hotel is ran by an Australian family, we found the hotel to be everything we had expected. It was very basic but suffcient. The only downsides the hotel were: - 1. The shower was just in the middle of the bath room, which was ok however we found the water tends to run beneath the door soak the whole floor of the room. 2. The shower was handheld i.e. when showering the was no hook to hold the shower above your head you had to hold it yourself. 3. The hotel provides safety deposit boxes however you are only able to access them at certain times during the day, which can be a problem when you have spent up from the previous night and have missed the open time for the morning and you really need a drink or something to eat. On the plus side, the rooms are very tidy and the staff are very helpful. Everyday the maid would come into our room and ask if she could clean the room before entering if we were there, which was most days as we slept until about 12 each day. So she would just clean around us. Further to this the bar has a great snack menu, well more like a full menu. Breakfast, toasties, jacket potatoes, omeletes burgers etc, all at very low prices, plus the portions were very good. The nightlife in Laganas is immense, I saw the sunlight every morning, but the hotel is slightly out of the centre so its not noisy, which is always good. So too sum up the hotel is everything i expected and I would return there if retuning to Laganas for another lads holiday. I would recommed families dont go to laganas and stay elsewhere on the island.
