Just returned from a week's fishing at Rushes Lake in Sarthe area of France, 20 mins from Le Mans.
Rushes is a 10 acre lake set in beautiful wooded surroundings.
Kim and Iain the hosts, can't do enough for you. The food is absolutely amazing with a huge bacon & egg baguette for breakfast and some of the best food I’ve tasted for your evening meals - huge portions and amazing desserts. All for just £65 per week.
Between a group of 5 of us we had over 2000lb worth of carp (both common and mirror) and an array of Catfish too.
They have a penned area for their animals which included, chickens, goats, ducks, cats, and their dog Buster.
We bivvied up around the lake but they did have a twin room with ensuite available for those who wanted it - this was at an extra charge.
A great runs water with carp upto 50lb and cat fish upto 80lb.
Certainly give this venue 10 out of 10.
