Had a great time at the Mellis Hill hotel and would go back any day! you aren't meant to have food and drink in your room and there isnt a fridge in the room , however, it is a bed and breakfast hotel, many others don't have fridges either, also the food is cheap enough... more

Well I went with my 13 year old daughter for a relaxing diving and snorkeling holiday. we do not drink and have been to olu deniz many times but have stayed in differant hotels. Hotel Meliss Hill is in a superb, elevated position. Breakfast was what i'd expect as standard turkish, served on a pleasant open terrace as described in other positive reviews on this site. Stayed in the Mellis Hill in August 2008 rooms basic but cleaned daily. Staff and owners very friendly, food good, Turkish Night was excellent!!! especially the belly dancer who was lovely. Everyone in our party enjoyed it. A nice leasurely walk into the resort only ten minutes, not a problem. The breeze on the hotel was most welcoming. i would recommend this hotel for a nice chill out break

We stayed at the Mellis Hill in May 2007 and had just a brilliant time. We could not fault the way we were looked after, loved the position of the hotel. There really was nothing to dislike. We loved our time there. In fact we are hoping that it will be possible to return again this year. I have to say that I agree with the previous review from banshee48 completely. You will get to know the owners and staff who make you feel like friends not just any old guest. So special!

We had orıgınally booked another hotel ın Olu Denız but due to large party bookıng were referred to Mellıs Hıll. Thıs was a fortunate turn of fate as holıday has been superb. Hotel ıs set apart from town and set on hıll. All the usual facılıtıes are avaılable (bar, food, pool). Access to town ıs a fıve mınute stroll down the dırt road, dolmus from the maın road or taxı (all readıly avaılable and reasonable). Hardly slept at all, not a quiet family hotel as described from refulin
I wasn't expecting a first class hotel upon arrival, but our room was a lot more basic than initially described. I think the nicer rooms are the ones to the left of the bar with balconies. The ones under the stairs are very stuffy and small. Ours had light fixtures and plug sockets hanging off the walls and the toilet and shower (which were virtually the same thing as the shower was on top of the toilet) were really poky and the toilet stank. Just got back, had a brillinat time at the hotel. Hotel is basic but clean with amazing view of Olu Deniz , the mountains and the sea. Feels really tranquil as away from the busy and very touristy main strip of Olu Deniz, which I didn't expect. The hotel had a lovely terrace covered by vines and the staff even picked fresh bunches of grapes and figs from the trees for the guests! Well, i have to say that our experience was totally different to the one below. We had a fantastic time...the hotel, whilst basic, was clean - the room was cleaned every day by lunchtime, and the towels were replaced with clean ones every day and the bed was made every day. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Some spoke better English than others, but they were always on hand! I've just had a great holiday staying at Mellis Hill Hotel and I would definately stay there again, its a great hotel. The pool, bar and restaurant are all really nice and kept well.
