Sporting Hotel

Leaving our 2 & 3 year olds at home with grandparents this was our first ski trip on our own and the Sporting Hotel fitted the bill perfectly. We arrived at 8pm and shown our room, which was a double with anti-room with sofa bed, before down to excellent 4-course meal.
The hotel is family run and had a cosy atmosphere. Food was fantastic. Huge selection for breakfast an ideal time to stock up for the full day on the slopes. There was a indoor/outdoor swimming pool although we didn’t get around to using it as we were generally shattered.
The ski lifts was within 5 mins walk and we left our boots and skis in the hire shop so there was none of that painful walking in boots and carrying of skis. The resort was excellent for skiing and you could ski into Switzerland for lunch. The town was ok with the usual ski/sport shops and bars. I am sure there was some nightlife but we tended to be off to bed fairly early!!
The hotel had a small bar but most people, all nationalities tended to have a drink before dinner then go out.
We would go back to Sporting Hotel and next time take the boys, the resort is very child friendly and the French love children. Inghams Rep was great and the service the whole resort gave skiers was excellent.
