Grossly over-priced for what is basically a B&B,Unable to get evening meal and was charged extra for room service (a sandwich !!) as a result. Rooms very small and limited, bathroom shower was totally useless and toilet not working properly. Staff were short and sharp and not at all helpful. Would under no circumstances recommend this hotel to anyone, avoid at all costs !!

A lovely hotel, family run. It is very warming and comforting. Our room was large with lots of storage space and lots of cupboards.
We received a friendly welcome from the staff. They were very helpful with all of our enquiries. The only thing that spoiled our sleep were the seagulls waking up.
The hotel itself is in a beautiful location right by the beach, a museum is close by with Natural History Artefacts. This is a good place for children as there are a lot of parks and a swimming pool nearby.
There are a set of shops 10 mins away from the hotel. The main shopping centre is a bus trip away. I recommend you get a weekly bus pass if you are going to use the service on a daily basis as it works out cheaper. You get a regular bus service to all of the places you need to go to.
Breakfast is a continental breakfast which consists of cereal, croissants, and toast. Also available are a traditionally cooked breakfast. Both were really tasty and we enjoyed our breakfast.
Overall I would recommend this hotel; it is in a good location and is great place to stay.

Nice location. Cab to Gun Wharf Quay £5.30 or bus stop almost outside hotel. Standard double room far too small. Could just about walk around the bed and no where to place luggage. Bed slooping on one side a welcome could have been warmer. Clean and tidy. No lift so third floor was a bit of a hike and no offer to carry luggage up. Would not rush back however have stayed at alot worse.
