Only went to Paleochora so that we could walk the Samaria Gorge. The coach transfer from Chania airport took 2 hours. The coach firstly travelled along the Chania Bay coast road stopping at several resorts. Agios Marina, Platinas, Melame etc. Not our cup of tea at all, so... more

I have been holidaying with my husband and friends in Paleochora for the past 12 years. Stayed in Anthea a couple of times and could not find fault with either the accommodation or the resort. Paleo is in a class of it's own. You can certainly go there to chill out. ... more
