Fabulous hotel
from kb260466
My partner and I have just returned from a week at the Regency Country Club. We exchanged our timeshare week from Portugal to this unit as it was stated to be a gold crown resort. We were not disappointed. The hotel is fabulous with great attention paid to detail to ensure the Bali theme is maintained throughout. The unit is fabulous with a huge, four poster bed and every home comfort catered for. The maid service is excellent with towels changed daily or whenever required, bed linen changed 3 times a week and daily room cleaning. The staff are very courteous, friendly and helpful at all levels from arriving at reception to bar staff to maid service. The infinity pool is great, including a jacuzzi and swim up pool bar. Unfortunately a new hospital for the south of Tenerife is currently being built directly in the view line whilst swimming in the infinity pool which is a bit of an eyesore! The only disparaging comment I have is that the resort is a little isolated which is not a problem if notified of prior to visit. I would definitely recommed a car as the hotel do provide a mini bus service into Los Cristianos and Americas but it is very infrequent and not really at convenient times. You may also need to be aware that phase 2 of the RCC construction is immediately next door and has a crane which is a bit of an eyesore. There were no signs of working on it whilst we were there and we were advised that construction would commence when the units were sold so there may be a time in the future when it will be very noisy. The hotel has 3 themed nights a week which include a buffet style meal with entertainment. The hotel has an excellent restaurant attached within a few minutes walk called La Estancia. I would recommed the restauarant. Apparantly one of the Corrs sisters had her wedding reception there last year. There is another excellent restaurant close by called Clarets which I would highly recommend also. However I would recommed that you take a taxi to it as it is at the top of a very steep hill. The taxi costs 3 euros. It is possible to walk back. Other than a small tapas bar there are no other restaurants or bars close by and this is when you would need transport. The beauty of the hotel is its complete peace and tranquillity which suited me and my partner but it may not suit someone looking for a livelier place. PS we managed to avoid the unwanted attentions of the sales team by ignoring their repeated attempts to ring the doorbell! Others were less unfortunate and the viewing took many hours we heard!
Loved the 'infinity pool', shame about the view!

We exchanged a week's timeshare with RCI for this resort, and the complimentary champagne went down well after a late flight. We asked via email for a 'welcome pack' as we were arriving late, and that was in the appt, had all the essentials. We loved the space in all rooms, especially the bathroom, the 4 poster bed and the balcony. The pool was fantastic, but it looked onto the building site of South Tenerife's hospital!! also to the right of us was a crane, ready to start on Phase 2 of the RCC.The sun loungers were good quality with thick cushions. We were a few miles up from Las Cristianos, but there was a courtesy bus to use, although the last one back was 17.30. The weather was hot, but cloudy because we were so high up - it was always sunny down by the coast. All in all, we had a good week, but beware of the mosquitos - I have never been bitten in any of the Canaries - but I came home with 50 bites, my husband had 60 !!
So relaxing!!!

The Regency Country Club was everything I expected it to be and more! The check in was efficient and the champagne greeting was delightful! The rooms are very luxurious and every picture displayed on the website is true to life! We had a lovely sea view and a great balcony. I'm a little confused as to people’s comments about there being no food some nights? Their restaurant La Estancia is open every day and night and serves some spectacular dishes! The pool is fantastic! You can swim in the infinity pool all day long as it’s heated. The whole holiday was the most relaxing experience I've ever had it was like a second honeymoon for me and my husband it was everything we wanted!
great value!

My husband and I have just returned from a fabulous holiday at this beautiful hotel. We were greeted with a glass of champagne which set the scene for our week. The rooms and hotel are outstanding and although we booked a special promotion week this time we will be visiting the hotel again and again. The most enjoyable, relaxing and rewarding holiday ever. Ps very friendly and proffessional staff
Great Hotel, shame about the surounding area
from JulesSnaith
We were invited to this resort via a timeshare promotion. We are already time share owners and thought that it would give us a good opportunity to see what they had to offer. We were a little dubious about how good it would be, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was even better than we expected. The apartment was very spacious and had a very large terrace area for you to relax in. The pool area was magnificent. We have 2 children who had a wonderful time in the pool and the play area. There was a children’s club that they could go in and out of that was based in the play area. My only concern was that the pool area was very quiet and relaxing so I was aware that the children should not get to noisy, but most people seemed to enjoy watching them play. The bar and snack area was good and the lunch time food was very good. They lay on 3 theme nights that are very good value for money and we hade a great time. We only have a couple of complaints, they do not do food every night, so you need to go else where, we like to walk around the area that we stay in and you couldn’t as the paths would just stop and it is very hilly. It would have been nice to have a couple of bars near by to visit with out going into one of the main towns. The timeshare presentation took nearly a whole day but it was not high pressured and we thought that it was too expensive. This hotel is great if you just want to relax and unwind
Not 5 star service
from Glenburn21
The place looks amazing and is well kitted out. Looks like a 5 star resort but unfortunately the service does not come up to scratch, The staff are friendly and helpful but have no discretion to solve any difficult issues. The place is full of time share sales people having coffee and chatting which was not professional and once they gather you have no interest in the timeshare (we paid thousands for apartment rentals and made it clear from the outset we were NOT interested in timeshare), the service level deteriorated visibly further. The restaurant is only open 3 times a week, bizarre and watch out for the Butlins type entertainment. One night there was a vulgar drag show which would belittle a 1 star establishment, let alone a supposed 5 star exclusive resort! The resort was altogether a strange concoction, don't think management really know who their market is and what they are trying to achieve. We will NOT be going back. Overall looks like a 5 star place but feels like a 3 star resort.
Great rooms
from eozjr
Loved the hotel, the pool was amazing although very cold which we thought was down to the constant running water from the lions head fountains. The rooms were really nice, clean and tidy and the bathrooms were stunning. We also had a roof balcony. The only problem was that we felt a bit isolated with it being so far from the town. I like to be able to wander off alone and definitely felt that I couldn't here because of the main road into Los Cristianos.
Nice But!

We visited the Country Club over Xmas 06 to sample the resort and the inevitable timeshare sell (well it was only £100 for the week). This is a new resort and they really have fitted it out to a very high standard. Rooms and Bathrooms are excellent as is the full range of TV channels. Great Pool and great view overlooking Los Christianos. The site is high up on the hill so great views but you will need a hire car, the resort provide a minibus but the times wont suit everyone. Mini Golf and some entertainments on offer Good theme nights worked well and eveyrone was friendly. My only problem was the fact that the site is bounded by the main road up to Arona on one side and smaller road at the rear so there was quite a bit of traffic noise of heavy lorries changing gear to go uphill from 0700 in the morning so in that respect not the most peacefull of sites.
Liked hotel Loved Pool
from Tanyaayesha
As previous review hotel good Pool excellent but beware if you have a timeshare or like ourselves this was a free week because you bought into Gold Crown Resort in Majorca you will spend one day of your holiday under intence preasure to buy into a further timeshare but like ourselves if you resist it is only one day lost of your holiday so it is worth it (just wanted to warn everyone out there what to expect)
Fabulous apartments
from leah243
The standard of this resort is very high and it is ideal for a peaceful and luxurious break away from the busy playa areas. It is themed on a Balinese village and set overlooking a magnificent infinity pool. The apartments are of a high standard and have sat tv, DVD, aircon, and a very well equipped kitchen. There is daily maid service and supermarket, massage, bars and a great upmarket resturant. It is set in a conservation area and is great for walks and has some beautiful villas nearby. Definitely an upmarket resort so if you are looking for a luxury break in the sun away from the masses this is the place. Can't wait to go back!
