just trying to find a holiday and looking at reviews and I thought I'd look up delfin just out of interest - I agree with the other 'terrible' reviews we were here in 2003 and to be honest I'm suprised its still open!! they put us in a room that was tiny mouldly walls... more

It was a perfect holiday for us as we stayed in The delfin hotel. Best thing about the hotel is the pool with fabolous view. Other reason we love the hotel is that hotel has guests from all over the world. We found a very friendly atmosphere at the hotel so we will probably visit patara Again.

What a horrible place. Our twin room looked nothing like the photos. It had 2 stained mattresses on the floor either side of a door leading into a tiny, grimy shower room that smelt of sewage. See for yourself:... more

I adorded the Delfin Hotel when i went to Turkey. I am 12 years old and it was my first abroad holiday. The hotel was spotless and the staff were soooo nice and friendly. They could also speak very good English. There names were David who works at the bar, Jack who drove... more

I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone, I've never seen myself as a person with high standards so I’ve never needed much to impress me, but by god this place was a near total let down. Delfin is a non-repped hotel, which is a smart move by GoldTrail because I... more

Stayed at Defin for two weeks mid September, the pool is beautiful and kept spotlessly clean, most days I was only person there - bliss! The bedrooms are a bit on the small side and mine was a little dark as it was back facing, but the bathrooms are fantastic - all brand... more

Do not ever go here or book with Goldtrail. This hotel was horrendous; the flight was not like anything I’ve ever seen before. We flew with Onur air and they had no drinks on the flight besides alcohol and water, and no bottled water to take with you for journey to hotel.... more

I have just got back from an amazing week staying at the Delfin Hotel in Gumbet, Turkey with three of my friends. Having read a few reviews before leaving for the trip, I was more than a little apprehensive about this holiday. The phrase "fawlty towers" was mentioned a lot... more

We actually got more than we paid for in our holiday - the room wasn't all that, but when we asked for clean towels and sheets we did get them. Fridge and TV didn't work but then we weren't in that much, air con is a must in August but is an extra. Dave and Carol were... more

This hotel was a fairly decent budget hotel. You pay for a cheap holiday and that is what you get. All guests are British but the staff have a limited knowledge of English, only David the barman and the cleaner have a decent grasp. Rooms very basic, air con not really... more

Had to complain about the room on arrival, sorry but it absolutely stunk of sewerage ! Not good for a first impression. Got moved and was not keen on the room but it was clean so can't complain too much. Really struggled with the beach at Gumbet as its shingle beach so... more

Lovely hotel, lovely people, lovely setting
We stayed at the Delfin Hotel for a week and had a perfect holiday. It is our second time in Patara, and last year we stayed in St Nicholas Pension which is also run by Mustafa and family, and is also lovely. The Delfin is in a very pretty setting on the side of a valley with views to the sea. The rooms are clean and all have air conditioning and a little balcony with beautiful views. The pool is set on a lovely terrace and is always clean. Mustafa and his lovely family are always there to help in any way. The restaurant at St... more
what a wonderful place!
I spent week at the Delfin Hotel and would definitely recommend it. It's run by a very friendly and helpful family who are always at hand to help (one of the sons helped us to book flights online). The rooms are lovely, clean, and have great views. The pool is wonderful and the breakfasts are delicious (and huge). The Delfin is a very relaxing and friendly place for a holiday. I can't fault it in any way.
love it
We have stayed here twice, once last year and again this one. Both times we just turned up and good standard rooms are available. Love the "family atmosphere' nothing is too much trouble. Gurkan, one of the delightful workers, even came to the chemist with us to explain to the non English speaking chemist my daughters symptoms. If we are in the area again we will no doubt return to this lovely, comfortable hotel
Great Hotel
This was my 3rd year in Patara, my 1st at the Delfin hotel. I thought it was the best hotel there. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and tidy, you get a good balcony with great views. Breakfast is excellent, its freshly made every morning. You can have other food during the day such as omlettes, borek and chips. The hotel is a very short walk from the village and about 10 minutes, with provided transport, from the beach. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definately come back again.
we'll be back!
We just spent three nights at the Delfin Hotel in Patara and it was wonderful. Really relaxed and great value. We were really made to feel at home. It is just above the main street and benefits from a pleasant breeze and a distant view of the sea, although Patara village is not exactly beautiful. The swimming pool is magnificent and very well cared for. Always spotless, and bathers are good about using the showers at the poolside. The rooms are small but adequate, with air conditioning and en-suite shower rooms. They also have small balcony,... more
Check into Paradise
I have been coming to Patara since I was 13 and this hotel is by far the best! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, they will do anything to help you enjoy your stay and will try to accommodate to all your needs. Their flexibility is unmatched. Rooms are equipped with everything you could possibly need (especially mosquito nets) and also have balconies with superb views of the surrounding area. All facilities are kept immaculately clean. Food is prepared fresh from their kitchen and served if and when you require with a selection of... more
Good hotel, great pool, nice hosts
We had a great stay in Patara. The hotel hosts were wonderful and helpful, asking about how to improve their services. The pool is refreshing, especially since the area is hot. Beds have mosquitos nets which are needed.
wonderfully peaceful
I was staying in Kalkan for 18 days at the Samira I & II, where I had stayed 6 times before and thought I wouldn't find anything to beat it. But I have. Having decided to extend my holiday for a further 9 days, my friend and I thought we would travel outwith Kalkan and visit Patara, meaning only to stay a coupe of nights and return to kalkan. However, on the advice of turkish friends we visited the Delfin Hotel in Patara and found it to meet our requirements. So much so we stayed the full 9 days. The rooms are clean and practical,... more
Turksih hospitality in it's best form
Me and my family (spouse, boy 10yrs and girl 9yrs) stayed here for four days in June when the hotel just had opened. What a service from the hotel manager - he did all he could to make our visit to Patara relaxing and enjoyable. Driving us up and down the road to the beach, to the petrol station to withdraw money.... Making us a wonderful breakfast each morning, shopping whatever our children missed (sprite, juice etc). The two rooms we stayed in were clean and newly furnished and we couldn't ask for more. The new and... more
Great view, clean, pool, paradise
We stayed here one night. The new owners have re-fitted the whole place, the pool is great with a good sunbathing area. The food is typically turkish. The rooms are nice, with new furniture and fittings. The beds are compfy, and most important, everything works! The owner (Mustafa) also owns the St Nicholas Pension, which is also great, so I expect that as the Delphin gets known and reviewed they will shoot up the rankings. We'll be back.
