If you are into the great outdoors, then this is the place for you. Invergarry is well placed for Hill walkers, climbers, fishers and bikers.
A first class establishment with cracking facilities, bunk rooms, good parking and easy access to the hills, glens, lochs and tracks.
Hostel based, with great kitchen, bedroom (bunks) and lounge facilities the only marks off are for the (relative) lack of toilet / shower facilities when the place is full (e.g. early morning and evening - going out and on return).
Otherwise, it's grand with great rates and a warm welcome. Claire, the owner, does her bit with a well managed environmental policy, making sure that nothing is wasted. As you look out of the kitchen window in the morning, there is even a chart that IDs the local birds at the feeder.
If you don't fancy doing much on the food line, Claire does a optional breakfast pack (healthy stuff, the B,E,S,BP and FB are up to you) and of an evening you can dine in the nearby Invergarry Hotel (food VG) but remember to book the evening before (phone ahead if out in the "wilds") as it gets very busy (the hotel has a good range of real ales). Enjoy - I did (for the third year running)!
Hoots Mon, pass the drams - Best regards Robabody.
