We have just returned from a last minute booked 4 day break at Manor and Ashbury hotels in Okehampton.
I don't give praise lightly, I'm a born complainer, but this was fantastic.
Thoroughly recommend it for active families. Free golf, tennis, shooting, swimming, tennis, craft centre and tons more. Hotels very clean and comfortable with good quality food, friendly staff, you really have to see it to believe it.
I have never been to Centre Parcs, but some of the guests had, and each said there was no comparison. All equipment and tuition is free. We did as much as we could in the 4 days but will have to go back for more. We plan to go in the summer.
