Submitted By: Mrs J BagleyThe food was very good and we managed to eat in the Italian Restaurant which was prebookable, so no queuing and plenty of attention from the staff.
I very seldom say this but I would return without hesitation. We were made to feel very special by all the staff even when they were working flat out.
A definite 10 out of 10 for the Radisson.

Submitted By: Mr S BlondI was so impressed throughout our stay. The hotel staff cannot do enough for you. You always get acknowledged by every staff member. The rooms are very clean and spacious with very comfortable beds. The grounds are maintained very well, we saw staff working on them everyday. The standard and choice of food was excellent. The main restaurant offers a different theme every night. For a buffet service the quality of the food was faultless. They have an a la carte restaurant which you can pay a small supplement to dine in. I didn't get round to sampling this but by looking at the menu it looks like a seafood lover's paradise. They also have a snack bar by the pool which serves sandwiches, pizzas, chips etc.
The pool area was very clean and was constantly been cleaned throughout the day. I do find it hard to believe what I read in a previous post. The only thing I saw floating in the pool was a bunch of very happy holidaymakers. The long stretch of private beach was clean and had easy access as it is exclusive to the hotel guests. The hotel lobby was very spacious and clean with half a dozen shops selling mainly souvenirs and holiday essentials you may of forgotten to pack, be warned they aren't cheap and do take advantage of the fact that there is nowhere else near. I do agree with a previous poster regarding the evening entertainment. There is only 1 bar there with an egyptian guy singing who isn't the best singer in the world it can be quite amusing! I think another bar offering a more chilled out bakground music would be nice where you can have a drink and chat with your fellow guests. They had a nightclub open in the evening but always played the same style of music every night there was no variety.
They also had a great animation team which offered various activities throughout the day and evening. The spa which offers various massages and treatments is also very good value for money. You will find staff from the spa coming round the pool area during the day trying to give you the sales pitch. If you do book a treatment make sure you agree a price beforehand.
The only other thing which stops me from giving them a ten is that whilst room service was available they had no menu for the room service in the rooms.
I think the most important factor to consider before you book is that Taba is still a relatively small town and is still not yet geared up for mass tourism. Therefore everything is based around your hotel. However there are some excellent excursions on offer such as day trips to Cairo, Petra, Jerasulem to name just a few. Last but not least diving.
If you are looking for somewhere to relax in the sun with a couple of books blended in with a good quality accommodation, food and facilities then I highly recommend this. If you are looking for an 18 - 30's style holiday then this wouldn't be for you.
I work in the travel industry and have seen my fair share of good and bad hotels. I can assure anyone that this definitely falls into the good. Whilst in EU rating this may not be a 5* (more a 4*) it defintely deserves the 5* Egyptian rating. If you are worried about the food there is no need as there is something for all tastes. All the water they use to prepare their food is filtered so you are able to eat fresh fruit and vegetables. I did not suffer from any stomach complaints whilst I was there and nor did anyone else. People that moan about the quality of the food are perhaps better off enjoying the sun in Benidorm with their kiss me quick hats and have peace of mind that there is a McDonalds within a 2 minute walking distance!
There are very few hotels around the world which I would return to, the Radisson however is near to the top of my list to do so.

Submitted By: Miss J CopeThe hotel itself is in no way a 5 or 4 star resort for that matter. There are only two restaurants, one that seems to be for 'locals' and the other for tourists, both have a miserable selection of food. On our 1 week stay my partner passed out and had a severe stomach virus and we met three other people on the holiday who had been hospitalised.
Service: if you can call it service at the Radisson, pretty non-existent and the staff are very smiley but quite rude if you want something or have a complaint.
Cleanlinesss: the rooms are ok and cleaned every day, however the rooms are not in great shape and the noise from the air conditioning system is almost deafening. Catch 22, try to sleep in the heat which can reach 50 or try to sleep with the noise....
The pool areas are not very clean at all, in fact around the so called 'pool bar' area it was slimy and smelt of old feet. Not hygienic at all. Also you better get up early to catch a sunbed either on the beach or by the pool (that's if you fancy swimming in a pool with sanitary pads and faeces floating around in it). The sun beds are 'bagged' on a daily basis and at least a quarter of them sit with towels draped across them and no one actually uses them. It seems the clientèle have got used to this method and it seems to be the thing you do... that is if you are a brainless sheep with no regard for anyone else!
There is only one main lobby at the hotel and nothing to do as far as activities, the facilities offered are not in a good state. There are a few shops around the lobby and the shop keepers "psssst...." at you and say "hey where you from, you want to come my shop"... pretty much every time you walk past. The lobby is like one big living room of a large family and kids run around screaming and playing. Mums, dads, uncles, grandmas, grandpas and every other member of their associated families sit, stare and drink coffee, some the whole day and don't even venture outside.
The clientèle are NOT friendly at all, this hotel is very much used by people from Jordan, Egypt, Israel and there can be tension between them, there was some fighting on the beach and they don't seem to like or even try to communicate with anyone from European regions. There is no such thing as smile and a smile back, you just get a very odd disgruntled look back whenever you try to make a "good evening or good morning". The staff and holiday reps are quite happy to tell you this in conversation once you are there!!
We ended up upgrading to the Marriott, which is in Taba Heights and is fantastic, clean and the diving is wonderful. The Lazy Day Boat Trip was lovely and the Marine Centre was good too, at least there are people out there who are trying to preserve some of the coral reefs and sea life. Which at the end of the day is the main attraction for the area. Happy Holidays!!

Submitted By: jgreenThe hotel is ideally situated on the a long golden beach. During our stay the 'red' flag was out on three days so we could only enjoy the excellent snorkelling for 4days. The hotel is bright and airy, we found there to be a good selection of food catering for many nationalities. Wine and drinks are plentiful.
However, a few days into our holiday we heard uttering's of people within the hotel becoming ill with the 'Taba' trots, we are well travelled and stuck to only bottled water and ate a simple diet.
However on the last day of our holiday my husband started to feel queasy this we managed with medication, but since our return home we have both had persistent diarrhoea, stomach pains and I have also vomited on a number of occasions.
We had planned to return to the Radisson in October but after our experiences over the last week I don't think we will be now doing so.
There are so many positives about this hotel, its a shame that we have been left feeling uneasy about returning again, we heard many of our fellow travellers expressing the same view point.

Submitted By: Miss A HodgeThe hotel was occupied by around 20% (maximum) of European holiday makers and the other 80% was occupied by another nationality which proved to have far too many cultural differences to all Europeans staying there. They would allow their children to go to the toilet in the swimming pool (and I do not mean just peeing in it) and they would also swim everyday fully clothed as they couldn’t wear swimming costumes due to their religion. The hotel staff would try to stop them but it turned out to be a daily event.
As for in the restaurant they would help themselves to food with their hands and often pick it up and place in back in with all the other untouched food; as well pushing and shoving any one out of the way that tries to form an orderly queue.
In the evenings there was one bar open to sit in and relax and listen to the entertainment however this area could only hold around 100 people so with a hotel that has 345 rooms you could never get a seat. We meet many couples out there and would talk to them about the problems we were encountering and we were not alone in our thoughts and feelings on the hotel. Everyday you would hear more and more people complaining on the beach about the whole running of the hotel and Radisson should take a serious look at the goings on in this resort.
I have stayed at a few Radissons over the world and know that this is not what you should be receiving from a hotel chain of this quality. My other half also suffered from food poisoning for the whole 2 weeks and is still suffering after over a week of being home.

Submitted By: Mr R BaillieWe spent a lot of the time by the pool, topping up on our tans which in a 42 degree heat was not hard to do.
The hotel sits in manicured grounds and is well laid out. It is guarded 24 hours a day and has a backdrop of the Sinai Mountains which although not picturesque, means that our private beach remained exactly that and not swamped by other hotel's tourists.
There was a vast range of food available every day however the entertainment at night was somewhat limited.
I would recommend this holiday to couples and young families who are looking for a relaxing holiday but can keep themselves amused.
On the whole though, I would certainly go back.

Submitted By: Mrs Jackie MacIntyreThe hotel was spotlessly clean, the rooms well equipped, the staff wonderful. They were always willing to help, they always had a smile and a hello, from the manager to the gardeners, it didn't matter they were always polite and courteous.
The food was always hot and plenty to choose from, there were themed nights and we had no difficulty finding something to eat.
The Bedouin tent, cost £17, is well worth a visit, or two... the nights we went we were the only dinners in and the typically Egyptian food was excellent, the only comment we can make is don't eat for the day before you go because there is more than enough to eat, in fact it could have fed us for the whole week.
The entertainment team were absolute stars, they invite everyone to join in, but if you don't it doesn't matter... the water polo teams consisted of all nationalities, both male and female and provided a laugh for those involved and those watching, and by the end of the week one of the final games was the WAGS vs. Lads!!
The beach is manmade but don't let put you off, the sun beds are in sets of 2-4 and are quite private due to the wicker screens around each set of beds. The snorkelling is not to be missed, you can hire a snorkel etc for about £6 a day, and it is well worth it.
The evening entertainment was what you made it there were alternating acts in the coral bar, whilst the entertainment team organised events nightly in the amphitheatre.
The holiday as a whole was a fantastic surprise, starting from the hotel, to the staff and the brilliant service they provide, especially Mena and his cocktails and Mohammed and his "Omar Sharif" look alike accomplice in the Bedouin tent, to the company of other guests.

Submitted By: Ms M PittsThe restaurants we had our meals in were self service and there was a good choice of food with specials on every day. The roast duck, carved turkey and roast lamb deserve a special mention.
The complex rises like an oasis out of an otherwise barren landscape and be warned, there is nowhere to go in walking distance of the complex and really nothing to do even in a short drive.
We stayed on the complex all the time although if we had been there a fortnight we would have certainly gone on a couple of trips.
Jordan is clearly visible across the sea and Israel is only a short trip away. The mountain backdrop to the hotel is magnificent alongside its manicured gardens and beautiful pools.
The temperature when we stayed was in the late twenties, early thirties and we spent most days on the hotels man made private beach. There is a bar on the beach, a restaurant bar just off the beach at the side of the pool where we had our lunch.
At night we would have our meal on the second of the two meal settings in the main restaurant and then retire to the balcony bar. The hotel had entertainment on every night we were there.
Service at the bar wasn’t the fastest we have seen and at busy times a queue could quite easily build up.
All in all we had a very relaxing holiday in very pleasant surroundings but I would have preferred the location probably not to be so remote.

Submitted By: Mr F ParkerI would never go back. I have some real concerns about the nature of the All Inclusive package, but first some general feedback.
The hotel is isolated and a holiday here should be regarded as hotel centred (except for organised excursions), as there is no local infrastructure outside the hotel grounds. This suited us fine as we were mainly there for the sun and relaxation.
The weather was glorious; the hotel rooms large well equipped and well serviced; the grounds and gardens were well stocked and maintained; the pool area was large, clean with a good supply of towels and sun loungers.
The animation team seemed enthusiastic; the restaurant and bar staff were friendly and supportive.
The food in the restaurant was average for this type of hotel (but let’s face it you don’t go to Egypt for the cuisine!).
The beach is manmade and it’s quite difficult to enter the sea from the beach as the shore line is made up of sharp stones and coral. They have provided a jetty so that people can walk out and enter the sea in deeper water if they want to swim or snorkel.
Now, what you need to know about the All Inclusive service, is that they seem hell bent on extracting as much additional cash from you as they can…
Wine is only available in the restaurant with meals; you cannot take glasses of wine outside the restaurant area.
Wine is not available in the bar, unless you upgrade to their ‘Super All Inclusive’ package, the equivalent of $12 per day per person.
The All Inclusive service finishes at 11pm when they close the bar.
Drinks are available after 11pm in the disco at about the equivalent of UK prices.
There is an Italian restaurant on site which All Inclusive guests can use at an additional ‘minimum charge’. This additional charge is the equivalent of £9:50 a head and that excludes wine, tax and service. In Cairo, Luxor and Aswan £9:50 buys a very good meal so this additional charge is anything but minimal.
The management have a barbeque once a week, but if you want to attend the charge is about £15 a head.
They have a Bedouin Tent where you can get a ‘genuine’ Bedouin meal (no alcohol is served here), but they charge £17:00 a head for this.
Everything in the Spa is chargeable including the use of the Sauna, Steam Room and Jacuzzi.
Normal checkout time is 12 noon, although our tour operator arranged an extension until 14:00. If you want to keep your room until 18:00 it’s another $50.
Once you check out, they take your arm band off and then nothings free. I was charged for a cup of coffee I had from one of the self service coffee pots in the lounge whilst waiting for our airport transfer.

Submitted By: vixen115The hotel you couldn't fault - very clean, large rooms and friendly staff.
The food has been described by some as bland, but we loved every meal we ate. The selection is so vast you really can't help but find something you like!
It's not all hot and spicy but we're not in India so don't know what people expect! It was all cooked well, nicely presented and there was lots of it - what more can you ask for?
The pool was lovely and clean with plenty of sun beds. There were constant daytime activities - water aerobics, water polo etc - but night time it definitely calmed down a great deal.
There was karaoke and live bands but nothing really upbeat. Perfect for the holiday we went on but not really something for same sex groups as it's more for families/couples.
Weather was HOT. Slightly windy for a couple of days so we couldn't go in the sea but that was no fault of the hotel. Didn't ruin the holiday - we just went in the pool instead!
The value for money here is outstanding - hence us going again - and after last year we can't wait!

Submitted By: vixen115The Radisson SAS in Taba was wonderful - large, clean rooms; friendly staff; food and drink in constant supply and wonderful weather.
It was windy for some of the days we were there and we couldn't go in the sea but that is of no fault of the hotel and it was certainly not a dampener to our holiday - we just went in the pool instead!
The food may be plain to some people, but you can't please everyone - what we had was very nice, and all members of staff in the restaurant were very polite.
There was lots of what there was and if there were any issues I'm sure they would have sorted it.
Night life is a bit of a non event - karaoke some nights, live bands others - but there was plenty for children.
It all depends what you want out of a holiday - if it's a lively, upbeat holiday you want, Taba may not be the best place for you.
But if it's a relaxing, five star holidays for you to truly unwind and chill out, then you will love it.
We're going back in 4 weeks - have requested the same room as we loved it so much - and I would highly recommend it!!

Submitted By: Miss V HowlandI had done a lot of research on the hotel before I left and heard a few unsavory comments, but I disagree with them all. It states clearly that this hotel is for relaxing only, it was in the middle of nowhere so no shops or nightlife (which was exactly what I wanted). There were water sports offered though and quad bikes through the desert. My room was kept impeccably clean and the staff were so good with my daughter.
There was a huge range of well cooked food. The only bad point was the wine was not too good but the beer made up for it in refreshment factor!

Advice: Nothing to do, nowhere to go, your trapped! 1 week was bad, 2 weeks..god help you
Activities: The trip to jerusulam was great, a very very long day but worth it
