Ses Gavines

Ses Gavines is situated right on the beach. We had a top floor and were overlooking the beach. Lovely. Theres 20 apartments, no reception. Your keys are left in an envelope with your name on cellotaped to the enterance door. Theres no bar or pool but you dont really need it because of the location. Everthing is on your door step. The aparts are spacious and clean, large living area, bedroom bathroom and tiny kitchen in the hall with 2 rings, microwave, toaster and kettle and small fridge, enough for two i,d think. No air con and if you get a room with broken shutters you have to keep your bedroom window shut.There a bit neglected, broken or missing shutters on the bedroom windows, dodgy light fittings old grubby furnishings etc. Nothing a bit of TLC wouldnt help but i dont think they have a maintenance man. Theres a couple who come each day to clean the empty rooms, they only do yours once (you have your own bucket and mop and brush in your room) and theres no change of sheets and just one change of towells per week. Mostly English people stay at these apartments, very friendly and as its a bit hit and miss if your kettle or toaster work they borrow each others. Quite funny really. They also seem to leave anything thats in the cupbourds so we went in to coffee, cooking oil (which we used to oil the door key) wash liquid etc. Its a great place to stay if you just want a basic cheap hol on the beach. We only had breakfast then we were out all day and ate out each night. Just one thing, it says it has a childrens play area. This is a piece of waste ground right outside one of the ground floor apartments with 2 old swings, its dirty and again not maintained so not a place for kids to play. There was glass in there and who knows what else. These aparts are more suited to just couples i think and i,d go back mostly because of the location.
