Excellent resort however the Eder Victoria hotel should be avoided . Rooms are very very basic tired and shabby, not at all suitable for anyone other than young people who merely want a place to crash out.
Food is at best fair only. very repetitive and not inviting at all. Basically this hotel is not worthy of anything other than a one star rating.

The hotel Eder Victoria is well located in the mountain town of Zell Am See. The hotel isn’t right in the heart of the shopping area, but is set back towards the edge of where the slopes end. It is divided into 2 separate blocks, the Eder and the Victoria. The Eder is the main block, which has the reception and the dining areas within. The Victoria is to the side and has a large bar on the ground level. The hotel is well looked after and is clean and tidy and suitable for families, however..................
The food in the restaurant is mixed daily, but many people may find the evening meals a bit of a shock, quite edible but not exactly what you would find at home.
The bar, which is below the Victoria, is open until the early hours of the morning and can only be described as a nightclub venue. The Victoria has 4 floors above the bar all with rooms for holiday guests. I was situated on the 3rd floor with 2 young children and the music could clearly be heard as it could on the 4th floor. In the end we had to try earplugs in our ears to cover the noise, not the sort of thing you should have to do on a holiday. Bare in mind this was a holiday over the Christmas period. I have been to places that attract 18-30 holidaymakers and I can only describe this as being in the centre of such.
The guests staying in the Eder were largely untroubled by the noise, if you do stay here make sure you are in the Eder and not the Victoria.
The resort itself is wonderful and I would certainly consider going back again, only to another hotel. There is plenty to do other than walk the mountains or ski. A large lake sits by the town and there are plenty of restaurants and shops to go to. There’s a swimming pool and ice rink and if you hop on the train your only a short trip into Salzburg.
Had the hotel been ok the holiday would have had a 9 out of 10.

Nice location, 2 min walk to the express lift, 2 min walk to shops, has a lovely sauna room which can be pre booked for privacy, rooms are pretty basic but clean, food was good in general, but the breakfast was best.....I would stay there again.
