Wouldn't go back...
My husband and I stayed at the Casa Luis in June 07. There was nothing really wrong with the place, it just wasn't really for us. The pool areas are both tiny, and they are over run with kids running around craving attention while parents lie around on their loungers, drinking, smoking, and trying to get a tan. Every couple of hours the entertainers (?) shout over the microphone, 'keeeller pool.... ping pong' etc. There is no peace. We ventured down to the club once (never usually our thing anyway...) and came straight back up..... It was dingy, and tacky entertainment. When we went to bed, it was noisy from other people etc. Then, just as you get to sleep, say 4 a.m. this is when the dustmen come (yes, really at 4 a.m.). The noise from the dust cart is loud enough to wake you up, and it seems to take forever to empty all the bins before revving while doing a 3 (20?) point turn to go back down the road. When we left, we had the misfortune of a 3 a.m. pick up. Whilst waiting, we saw families rolling home, clearly drunk, with kids as young as 3 with them! On the plus side, apartments clean enough, and well equipped, although we never ate in. And they were spaceous. Fair to say, we wouldn't go back.
Great Value for Money
My husband and I stayed at the Casa Luis mid September for a week and had a great time there. The apartment we had was very spacious - large balcony - very well equiped kitchen. It is about a 10 minute walk to the resort centre along a main road. There is 2 pools one on the reception side and one on the restaurant side - we found there to be plenty of loungers each day - the pool area's were not busy at all - plenty of room for everyone. The owner makes sure he meets everyone and makes sure you are having a nice time. The meal deal in the restaurant is fantastic - great value for money and delicious. Plenty of entertainment - I would say this is a great resort for couples with children - we ventured into the town most nights. Santa Eulalia is a lovely resort and I would definetly go back there and wouldnt hesitate to stay at the Casa Luis.
Lovely and relaxing
Casa Luis are lovely apartments. I stayed in a really large one bedroomed apartment with a great sized balcony. It was clean and had everything you need including, toaster, kettle and Microwave. I have a one year old and I needed a cot. This was 3.50 E to hire a day. The pool area is quite small but as I went in September, there was always sunbeds free. There is a good sized kiddies pool aswel. There is day and night entertainment which is brilliant for the kids. The food is so cheap..and really good. It is a good 10 minute walk to the centre of Santa Eualia but its a nice walk and there is a path. I would stay here again and certainly recommend it to friends.
the best place ever
i have been to the cais luis apartments on five seperate occasions it really is like a home from home families or singels or senior citizens you cant fail to be impressed i love it. luis is a gentelman who goes out of his way to make sure everyone has exactly what they want from there holiday i cant wait to return .sarah belfast
what a nightmare....
casa luis august 07. we have just returned from the casa luis after the two most stressfull weeks of my life. Firstly the building is in two separate blocks with a small road in between so if you have small kids like we do you run the risk of them getting killed. we where on the second floor and the rail for our balcony was hanging off, we stress this to the owner himself, but im afraid all he said was <crasy people in your apartment and i have never had it broke before>. i am writing this report but i just dont know where to start or to end it, the nightclub is underneath you and the noise is just so bad that the nightporter couldnt even sort out.if you go to the owners son SAM he wont do anything about it because he is too busy drinking shots at the bar....... who ever reads this believe me ignore the good reports some people have put in because if they think that this is a good time can you imagine what these people are like and ask yourself the question can you spend two weeks aboard with lager lauts, bad food terrible management, kids as young as 14 having sex on a sun lounger at 2 in the morning, apartment doors been kicked at all hours of the night, well this is the PLACE FOR YOU..........
Casa Luis Great for the teenagers!
Casa Luis is a family run apt complex, the staff are very friendly, & do work hard, the apts themselves are basic but clean, there are however a few points to note! Bad Points @ The swimming pool areas are far two small. @There are not enough bed by the pool for every one @ALL BEDS WERE FULLy/TAKEN BY 9AM!!!!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!! @Entertainment was hit & Miss & down in what i can only describe as a dungeon! Far too hot. Good Points @ Staff were extremely friendly, & Helpful espically Julie. @Pool side bar was of good choice & keenly priced @resturant Menu was excellent & especially the Special Menu ( €10.50 for Bread/Garlic Oil dip, Soup/Salad/ choice of two main course & desert all topped with a glass of white or red wine ! & not forgetting the free complimentory Peach snapps! The Casa Luis is ideal for kids/teenagers aged from 8 to 15 so if you like peace and quiet forget it , There are quiet a few beaches within a 15 / 20 minute wake with some stunning views & also the Marina of st Elarlia. The boat trip is also a good day trip taking in the capital of Ibiza
Great frendly resort
I have just returned from a 2 week stay in the Casa Luis Appartements in Santa Eulalia and must say I was pleasently suprised with the overall packgage and general quality of the place. Whilst i is not a 5* resort by any means, it clearly stives to be a family orientated place and my children were kept totally happy for the 2 weeks by the varied entertainmnet in the day (scuba, archery, football ) and the night, which meant that we could have a relaxing time. The entertainment for the Adults in the evening is also varied, with a split of outside professionals and in-house entertainers. Food is very reasonable, at 10 euros for a 4 course meal with wine and the quality is generally good with the snack bar providing a wide range for the kids The hotel is off the main road and anneex off so the kids are free to roam around with no fear of cars which was another bonus. The only major downside is that is not on the beach, but you can either walk (5-10min) or catch a bus which is outside on the main road The town of Santa Eulalia is also very pleasent and its around a 10 min walk from the complex, with a great range of nice bars and restaurants, that once again are more suited to families and couples with all the younger "party" goers going to elsewhere on the island Overall, I really enjoyed my stay there and would recommed it to anyone looking to have a relaxing and fun time with their families,
not all its made out to be
l have just returned from a week at the Casa luis and its not as family orientated as its makes out to be. after pre booking the use of a cot we found on our arrival (at five in the morning) that one the cot wasnt in the room two there was a €21 a week charge and three it took an hour to get it up into the room also there is also €25 a week charge for air conditioning. the walk into the town takes 25 mins not ten.as much as the appartments are clean and well kept the biggest problem for us was the day of departure. the hotel has a policy of rooms are vacated at 10.00 in the morning on the day of departure. Our flight was at 04.30 on the monday morning, they made us vacate at 10.00 the previous day, when you have a 1 year old baby and a wife that is five months pregnant i say shame on you Casa luis. l tried (and other guests) to book the room for the day but as much as i tried to reason with them they wouldnt move. So if your looking for a place for the family holiday ,the sight of approx twenty children asleep (between 2 and 11 years of age) on sun beds at 23.00 at nite might tell you this place aint for you
best place ever
We stayed in the Casa Luis apartments in July '05 and liked it so much we returned in Oct. that year. We are going back again in October this year and I can't wait. Luis - the owner . - his family and all the staff are great. Restaraunt and snack bar serve great food till 10 at night. Lovely, clean rooms, pretty basic, but have all you need. Two well kept pools and own supermarket. In high season there is nightly entertainment and regular shows. Also daily activities all provided by the very lovely Jack, who has become a good freind to me. (great guy - very funny-) Bar staff bend over backwards to keep everyone served and happy. Bar manager Tony is a really nice guy also. Brilliant place to stay and I would highly recomend it for families with all ages of children, and couples too. Only a short walk from the beautiful Santa Eulalia beach and harbour. Taking a boat trip to Ibiza Town is a must and the famous hippy market is just a bus ride away in nearby Es Cana. A truly captivating island which I wrongly beleived was only for wild party go-ers. There's much more to Ibiza that can be enjoyed by anyone and if you decide to go I highly recomend the Casa Luis.
So friendly
Me and my boyfriend got a late deal to the casa luis apartments, it was so much better than al the reviews we had browsed through. The location was set back off a road opposite a tourist bus stop, we travelled to es cana which has a beautiful beach and market. The staff that worked at the hotel were so friendly and everyone that worked there was part of the extended family. The entertainment was such a hit with all ages so leavning the hotel was not an option for us. The two pools were also very clean and spacious. There were plenty of restaurants close all for very good prices and service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone; couples or families. An overall good holiday with all your needs at your fingertips.
