We were in a two bedroomed apartment near to one of the several pools,in the north section
We found everything very clean and comfortable Staff were helpful and cheerful even the cleaning ladies spoke to us The only thing we were disappointed with was the restuarant meals. but I believe they have recently been upgraded We will probably go back again in a year or two

We were initially assigned a unit in the reception building Sier B overlooking scrub land and located near the A7 (N340), very busy (with speeding cars and trucks) coast road.
No pool located nearby and other holidaymakers and reception staff have to be negotiated every time when entering or leaving the building. After complaining, we were assigned a one bedroom unit in the South part of the resort.
Unit Teodoro 18 was small, dark and has a very small patio area separated from the main walkway by a locked gate in a wall. This area is crammed with plastic furniture, the air-conditioning unit and overgrown plants and does not get the sun at any time of the day. The unit itself was small and again, overcrowded with cheap, large old fashioned furniture. There was a pull down bed which would be impossible to pull down as there was nowhere to put the large furniture. There was a downstairs toilet filled with mops, buckets and other cleaning paraphernalia. The bathroom was dated. The whole apartment had no redeeming feature.
The unit was located near a pool and there were plenty of ashtrays.

We have holiday'd at Villacana many times over many years. It is a time share resort and we are owners. It is open to non-members on a rental basis.
We have always found it in excellent condition, very comfortable, good facilities and with excellent staff. There are pools, a shop, a bar and restaurant on site and there are plenty of other attractions and activities nearby. A car is useful but the coastal bus service is very good.
