I dont know where to start with this hotel, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
1. There is a lot of construction work in progress at the minute on the bottom (underground) floor of the hotel which lies underneeth every building. Several appartment blocks are also being renovated. However it was not the construction work that got on our nerves.
2. There is at least two security staff on 24 hour patrol of the hotel. We got told off countless times (most of them during the day time!) for stupid things such as having our music too loud, to leaving our doors open and talking too loud, at which point you would get threatned with the police. This is meant to be a hotel for club 18 - 30, etc.
3. My friend and his girlfriend had an argument one night, and the hotel security called the police out. The security also tried to ring the police on me one night for playing the piano in the reception area (okay it was late and I was drunk, but its not the point).
4. We got friendly with our rep, who works for Club 18 - 30. He was able to tell us that this is the last summer they are going to have any involvement with the hotel, for similar reasons. He also told me that there was one night the Reps got thrown out of the reception area during a greeting for new guests. The guests arrived later than expected and they where unable to greet them properly and told to get out of the reception area because it was too late.
5. This is not solely a hotel for young people! there are handfulls of companies based in this large hotel. So expect to see families, screaming kids and the occasional elderly.
6. If you are female and good looking, The hotel security are pervy! and will sit outside your room in the mornings with newspapers when they should be walking about the complex and look in!
7. The cleaners only change the bedsheets and empty the rubbish, when they do turn up. If you are going away on a two week holiday you will understand!
8. The hotel will rob you for all your money when you first arrive. They charge 4 euro to change over a travellers cheque, and the internet and payphones are just as bad! dont be fooled. Do not use any of the services in the hotel.
8. GOOD POINTS - the hotel is located right beside the strip! and there are 3 swimming pools in total in this hotel complex, however expect families/kids etc! Because of the way the hotel complex is built, there is no one to stop you bringing people into the hotel.
If you dont mind families and children, non stop harrasment from security, dont play music or chat loud and quite like the sound of grinders and hammering in the morning then this could be the dream hotel for you!!!

Me and my friends stayed at Las Pirimides for one week at the end of June to the start of July. There was 4 of us (all 18) and we booked with freestyle. We were actually quite worried after reading some of the reviews on the internet that the hotel was going to be awful but when we arrived we were plesantly suprised. Firstly I think we saw two cockroaches the whole time we were there and that was outside, there was never any in our room. The hotel room was really nice, we had good kitchen facilities and a good bathroom, The beds were alright and the balcony was really nice, I really can't think of anything bad to say about the room itself. The maid service was good, I think they came in almost everyday and I think the sheets might have been changed once and we got new towels once aswell.
The pool at the hotel was great, really big. There is also another small pool aswell which is a bit quieter. The only bad thing is that there is no music, Me and my friends thought it would have been good to have some poolside music. We always managed to find somewhere to sit around the pool aswell which was good.
The security at the hotel was really really good, there was security guards walking around all the time which made us feel safer and none of us had anything stolen which we were really worried about before we came. We hired out a safe aswell for 20 euros I think but you get 15 euros back at the end of your stay. The hotel was a bit noisy, nothing as bad as we thought it would be though, on the first night we got woken up from a bit of noise outside our room but nothing really bad.
On our first day we went to a welcome meeting, It wasn't that helpful the reps only seemed to want to tell you about what they had to offer and they will try and persaude you to spend 189 euros on their weeks activities i'm not sure if its really worth it though, they also seemed to be rather offended and annoyed that we only chose to go to the foam party and the bar crawl, saying that, both activities were both really good and I would definately recommend them, it cost us 60 euros to just do the two of them. Apart from what I was saying before about the reps the rest of the time we had encounters with them they were very nice...but just slightly too pushy at the welcome meeting in my opinion.
The hotel is really close to everything, beach, restaurants and nightlife. There are two beaches a sandy one and another one wich is more rocky however they are both really beautiful and have lovely views the sandy beach being the busier of the two. Street sellers will try and sell you anything but if you just say no they will go away (unlike the PR's). The restaurants are really good too, not many Spainish restaurants mind, which was a bit disappointing. Be careful when ordering drinks in restaurants because sometimes they don't include the prices. One day me and my friends payed 7 euros for one large glass of fresh orange, we didn't know the price or what size it would be and got a bit of a shock when the bill came.
The nightlife is amazing however a big warning would be WATCH OUT FOR THE PR'S, they will do anything to get you into their bars and they are really annoying. Even if you say no to them they won't leave you alone, it gets worse further down the veronicas strip you go, where PR's need to resort to picking you up and dragging you into their bars. The two nightclubs are tramps and rags, tramps plays more hardcore club music and sometimes you need to pay to get in whereas rags plays more well known stuff (however the DJ doesn't play any songs you request which is VERY annoying) The best bars to go in are linekers and O'neils, both have a really friendly atmosphere. Oh yea and we never saw one pimp or prostitute while we were there which we were also a bit worried about.
Overall me and my friends had a brilliant time, none of us wanted to leave and I would recommend the hotel and the resort to everyone.
Also I would recommend a vist to Aqualand, we had a great day out there (there's a free shuttle bus aswell)

me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel from 17th june 08 for 1 week the night we arrived we were given a room on the ground floor which was a dump dark dismal patio doors wouldnt lock we had about 2ft veiw of sky ,as it was late when we arrived we decided to get our heads down and complain in the mrning i did go to reception and complain but was told to see john the manager in the mrning which i did he was lovely he immediatly offered me a room on the 2nd floor as it didnt have a view i went back and asked for one with a view on the top floor he told me he was busy so we went back to see him at 12 and he gave me yet another room to look at 1309 which was brill lovely and bright good view of the whole area including the sea ,no air conditioning was a problem it was extreemly hot and airless kitchen area was well eqippd fridge was clean on the whole the room was lovely and clean maids were coming every day with clean towels etc, all very friendly reception staff were all nice and security guards were all friendly as its mostly a club 18-30 it was very noisy in the wee small hours but if the noise carried into the hotel either the manager or security came down on the noisy culprits immediatly it is in the heart of clubland so expect loads of noise from 10pm onwards mostly in the street bin men came to empty bins at 2-3 am quite noisy but not for long, loads of police presence so felt pretty safe, pools are nice and clean with plenty of sun loungers and a decent bar with food all day real suntrap . the lifts to the 3rd floor always working ,decent shop for owt you need in the hotel not cheap but for basics water etc ok. bus stops to most parts of the island only a cockstride away its worth getting a bono card from the bus station which will save you loads of money on bus travel 50%, a bus to los gigantos costs 6 euros well worth the money georgeous little fishing village with magnificent cliffs nice pretty bars very quiet, bus ride is about an hour but well worth the journey air cond buses good for explorers. not many street sellers in the las america areas beaches are nice but watch out for the african hairbraiders who are a pain constantly pestering you to have your hair braided offering free braids about 4 then trying to charge you 40 euros avoid them like the plague just keep walking say no thanks , great steaks along the coastal restaraunts about 7.98 euros well worth it. what else can i say if you do not mind late night early morning noise and you take a plug in fan with you for your room take a jar of coffee and sugar and tea your sorteds at this hotel its clean friendly busy full of younger people quiet during day fairly aliver and busy late at night till 6 am loads of clubs in the area , you can hire a fan from reception for 22.50 euros getting 15 bk when you take it back if you not happy with room see john explain what you want be polite friendly and he will sort you out oh by the way free bottle of red wine in your room on arrival helps you saleep first nite ha ha , good bathroom with excellent shower bidet big mirrors nice hotel well worth the cheap price i paid 18-30 clubs reps useless, . Great party apartments!!!! The heart of las americas, 2 minutes walk to the main clubs and bars, basic and clean, we never saw any cockroaches which is a bonus!!! Maids were in every 2 days with clean towels, the only downpoint is that they just walk in even when you are trying to get changed! Security a bit more strict than we expected considering the apartments are for young people, generally great holiday, would really reccommend it for young people!

We travelled in a small group (18, 19, 19) and booked with Thomsom "freestyle", when we first arrived at the hotel the reception area is a bit dingy... but dont let that put you off!! while we were waiting for our rooms to be ready the reps give a welcome talk and try and book you in on all their bar crawls and stuff, we didnt go on any of their trips, as you can do it yourself and not be stuck to them all the time. The reps were alright though. After reading some of the reviews we were a bit aprehensive about the state of the room but when we arrived it was fine!! and no cockroaches! although some other girls we met said their room was practially infested so beware! oh wait the balcony smelt of sick actually but meh! its not like you spend much time in the room anyway, unless you are asleep! it could have been a bit bigger but thats just being fussy. we were room 1207 by the way. I would reccommend this hotel for young groups but not families, it can be loud at night.
The beaches were really nice, sea was warm and apart from the usual lot trying to sell u stuff it was really relaxing! Pool area was alright, only went there once or twice anyway.
THE NIGHTLIFE WAS AMAZING!!! would reccommend anthonys bar, oasis, sound of cream, linakers, yates, bonkers and BOBBYS! loads of others too but i cant remember :-p
We went on a bar crawl called "o what a night" which was really good, got to meet loadza nice people! there is a website so just type it in to google and check it out!
The piramides is really central, its close to the beach and bars and resturants and stuff but far away enough not be be really rowdy. oh yeah we went to los christianos one night which is a bit less crazy if you want a quieter night. Tony Romas Ribs is the best restuarant ever! clsely followed by American Dreams lol.
And do the dolphin and whale spotting boat trip, two hours on a boat for 18euro, bargain!
All in all we had a really good holiday, I would defo come back to tenerife!

Apartment was cheap n cheerful. Stayed with my friend - 20 and 21. Rooms were pretty basic - but kept clean. However, on our first nyt however, there was 2 uninvited guests when we arrived back from the dancing. ROACHES!!! We went to reception and they gave us cockroach spray to kills them - stayed for 11 nyts - only happened once (but think that was to do with the spell we cast on the room to keep them away). Wasnt noisy at our side of the hotel, but other guests said it was very noisy at some parts. Our room looked onto the small pool at the back. Some reception staff were friendly and helpful others weren't. Not far from pubs/clubs - 5 min walk if that n a few mins more to the beach. Overall - alright - u get wot u pay for! Pool was huge tho n poolside bar did great snacks!!! Mmmmmmmmm cheese n ham toasties!!!! lol. Enjoy!!!!!!!

on arrival reception looked a bit unkempt and desolate. staff were however quite helpful. room we had overlooked the pools area and had large balcony so well pleased with that. maid service good. clean room. area of las americas quite busy, plenty of shops, watch out though for sunglass and jewellery sellers, they are on most corners. a visit to 'Carriages' is a must. scottish couple, good food, we ate there every day. hospitality great and it is just around corner from Piramedes. night entertainment a bit late in the evening but hey, it was fun. parrot shows and reptile shows weekly. worth a visit.

just returned with my 2 children, was expecting the pits but really am pleasantly surprised. reps and staff friendly, room ok but a bit of a trek to get to. entertainment from an old boiler was crap but they did have an eagle show and parrrot show which the kids loved. very central to everywhere , a bit of noise but you expect that anywhere. the only downside was the harrassment you get from every bar or restaurnat to go in and the scratchcard timeshare people totalpain. If you have booked and are expecting the pits it ok my kids are 7 and 5 and had a great time. Be prepared tenerife is quite expensive though

Went last June with 2 mates, had the best time ever! Going back this June for 2 weeks. Security guards are a bit grumpy and they appear from nowhere and tell you off. Rooms are nice, reps are good and the people who stay there are friendly. Get a safe and keep your money and stuff in it at all times,as you can go to reception and say a room number and they give you a key wich only works once and then you have to give it back to reception.
Overall its a good hotel in a good location. I'd say its not a family hotel during may-oct,its 18-30's so you wont enjoy it as much as younger groups.

Stayed here for 10 days from 29th june till 9th july. Was slighty worryed as it only cost me and my friend £44 each !! which is exteremly cheap.
This hotel is full of young people which we liked, did not meet anyone over the age of 25 I don't think.
The hotel staff can be rude ( watch out for john the manager ).
There is a stalker named horsey ( he stalks the english men , no joke )
While we was there, there was 3 thefts from the hotels....so get safes!
Apart from this its a good place to go to meet new friends and its really close to the clubs !
I would stay there again next year.
All the reps were lovely too.
