I went to Lykia World the first time with just me and my family and it really was the best holiday ever! The staff are great, the activities are brill, the rooms are wonderful and its all just fabulous. It's really worth the money and we thought it was so good we went back the next year. Not just us, we brought 3 families with us!
I really badly want to go back next year because Lykia World is comforting, fun, amazing and the sea is so clear! There’s a kids paradise, adults pool and loads more fabulous things. I really would recommend it to you because I guarantee you will have the holiday of a lifetime.
When I went I was in the kids club and we performed a show during the evening amphitheatre. The shows are so funny and really entertaining. The restaurants are fab, the beach and views are lovely, the staff are kind and warm, the rooms are comfortable, the service is fabulous and most of all. I loved it!
I have been to loads of places before and after but Lykia World is my favourite and always will be. Not to mention you get a really good tan. :D
Well I hope you give Lykia World a chance to explore the things that lie ahead in your journey.
Thank you Lykia World, for making my life complete! I’m always here for more!

Me and my husband have just returned from a wk from Lykia world it was a fantastic week. The weather was extremely hot so the a/c was a god send. We had a garden room which we found had everything we needed but was quite basic but you only need the room to wash, change and sleep! The food was totally amazing, with 3 restaurants to choose from and the choice of food was superb!
The village pool was out of this world! The views from the pool were breath taking. The animation team 2006 were fantastic, keeping us entertained, don’t no how they do it in the heat! And the evening shows were breath taking!
My husband and I had a break on our own as our children were away with grandparents! But we are going to take them as there was so much for children to do! A fantastic holiday!

The first time we stayed in Lykia World was in 1997 and we had a fantastic holiday. Most of the guests were from Germany (80 %) and the atmosphere was very friendly and polite.
We came back this August and were quite disappointed with the changes. Lykia world now seems to be covered mainly by British tour operators and the behaviour of many guests was quite shocking. (Parents letting their children misbehave in the restaurants, throwing food around, aggressive attitude, etc.)
While the staff are extremely friendly and doing their utmost to be accommodating, it's really the behaviour of the (British) guests we found disturbing.
As regards sport infrastructure, things have been going down hill as well. For sailing they used to have 8 well kept Laser boats and 2 optimists back in 1997. Now they only have three Lasers which are in quite bad shape.
On the positive side, they have added many slides in the children's paradise, which is great fun. The food is still very good, a lot of variety and the park and landscaped gardens are very nice.
In conclusion, it's still a great place but the behaviour of some guests definitely spoils the fun. Hotel management should really look into this.

Went to Lykia World first two weeks of school summer holidays. Stayed in village. Room was quite a walk away, but good exercise after all that food. Staff very helpful. Great taxi service. Fantastic market in Fethiye on Tuesdays - bargains galore.
Excellent for families, we have two teenagers, don’t think we saw them for more than half an hour each day. Don’t normally go back to same place twice, but have made an exception. Already booked for next year and taking some friends with us.!

I went with my wife and 2 sons aged 11 and 9 in August 2006. I was a little concerned when we booked the holiday as the resort holds up to 3,000 people and I was wondering if it was going to be like a holiday camp.
No such problem. The place is in the most spectacular setting and is spread over a large area so it didn't ever feel crowded. I get bored just sitting around so to have so many activities available which I could do with or without children was perfect.
The food was served buffet style in 3 locations and there was always a huge selection for every meal and the quality of the food was excellent. There is also 5 themed restaurants which cost extra (approx 6€ per adult) and is all waiter served. The Turkish restaurant is excellent value as it includes entertainment as well.
You could easily spend the whole 2 weeks in the resort but we chose to visit the local town of Olu Deniz which is not large but has a fantastic beach and lively bars and shops. You need to take a taxi from the resort which costs about £5 for the return journey. Hisaronu is a bit further (£15 return by taxi) and if you want a noisy, very lively place full of bars and restaurants then this is ideal.
There are plenty of excursions that can be arranged from Lykia World and we went on a quad bike safari which lasted 4-5 hours and takes you into the adjoining mountains and is great fun. For a rider and passenger it cost about £50 per bike but was well worth the money for the places you visited.
We stayed in the Residence with two large adjoining rooms which were fine. The A/C is a must in August and is included.
There are shops in the resort but the prices were at least double those you would pay in the towns so worth avoiding.
Despite being full board we still managed to rack up quite a bill (you charge everything to your room using the card that doubles up as a room key). The main extras we incurred were drinks outside meal times, ice creams and activities which you had to pay for i.e. golf, bowling and the Spa which is excellent if rather expensive (a package of 3 treatments cost about £80).
I had a few minor gripes but they were minor and did not in anyway spoil what was an excellent holiday. They were:
(1) People reserving sun beds around the two main pools. At 7.00 a.m we could watch them from our balcony sneaking out and putting their towels on the sun beds. Unfortunately despite the reputation the Germans have for doing this it was mainly the Brits!
(2) The 3 hole golf course (longest hole was 100m) cost 15€ per person to play which is very expensive for what it is.
(3) The Russians.
The only other comment was that the temperature in August was in the high 30's / low 40's for the whole 2 weeks which makes doing some of the more active sports almost impossible during the day.
In all a thoroughly enjoyable 2 weeks and I would definitely recommend it particularly for families.

Considering we chose this hotel because our original choice was not open, beginning of the season - I was a bit sceptical, but I could not have been more wrong.
The resort is huge, with lots of different pools, placed all around the resort, including adult only pools.
There are 8 restaurants serving different types of food, some incurring a small fee, including Turkish, Italian, Japanese and Chinese.
The children’s club was exceptional, all the staff were friendly and there were activities for all ages. They will even take your child to their special Children's Restaurant for you, where a chef cooks fresh food for them, at special 'children' times. You could have left your child in the club until 10pm, should you have wanted to, all included in your price.
There are numerous activities to take part in for everyone, including a wonderful Spa.
I have travelled extensively, and cannot fault this Hotel. It was not how I had expected an 'all inclusive' family hotel to be like - it was classy and I would recommend anyone to go, with or without children.

If anyone has any faults of this resort they must be extremely picky... it is the bestort me and my family have ever been to! the food is spectacular, the place is spotless, the staff work their backsides of to ensure our maximum happiness at all times, the toilets couldn't be cleaner with full-time staff cleaning them constantly, the only think you pay for is your drinks which are dirt cheap any way!
I would recommend this place to anyone! The shows are out of this world, the hard working animation team work all day long to keep guests entertained and are the most friendliest people, the kids club is the most amazing care team I have ever seen. For the price you pay you get five times what you pay for... the only complaint I would have would be that there is no complaints!
Go there its fantastic and I would recommend cosmos as a tour operator as they really look after you
We have been home three days now and we are still raving about it like its the first day of our holidays!

The best holiday for families I have ever been on - it was truly superb! The food is out of this world, it was boiling hot so I think July or August must be unbearable!
We had huge gorgeous rooms in The Residence and had wonderful massages, Turkish baths and my teenage son went paragliding off the mountain! The kid’s club hostesses honestly love children and in fact everywhere we went Turkish people kept hugging and kissing my 2 year old blonde daughter and calling her a beautiful princess!
Expensive but worth every penny!

Went to Lykia World in May this year with 2 friends. It is the most fantastic place. A little bit of heaven surrounded by the most breathtaking mountain scenery. So much to do if you wish, or just relax and let the world go by.
We stayed in the Residence part, and the rooms were just lovely, spacious and clean and beautiful. The food, well where do I start, if you do not find something you like, then there is something seriously wrong with you.
Every type of food you can imagine and plenty of it. The themed restaurants were superb, we tried nearly all of them. The staff are very helpful and very friendly. Would definitely go back again.

Warning. A marvelous place, yes. However, Lykia World, although still a high standard, has gone downhill a little and it is not cheap. Even Customer Service admit this and refer to a detrimental change in management.
Compared to 3 years ago, beach towels now have limited availability, it took 4 days to get the light bulb changed in our loo, hygiene has dropped (there are now birds eating the rice off the spoons in the Marina restaurant and hairs in the food – something that was unthinkable 3 years ago) the contents of our minibar mysteriously disappeared in their entirety one day & it took 3 days to get it replenished, a telephone call wall billed to our room that was never made (we used our mobiles) - and, critically, the A/C was totally useless and never got serviced or repaired.
Customer services do all the right things, agree, thank & sympathize - but nothing actually changes.
I am not the sort of person to have a pop on a forum like this but what really got my goat was that I took a great deal of time to productively explain to the management how things were failing and was promised a response. Result, predictably, zero. Why did I bother?
My recommendation, unless you want to be close to the Paragliding (Incidentally, Escape at Lykia World are absolutely superb in this regard), go to Hillside in Fethiye instead. Friends of ours (a very fussy travel agent) who we traveled with to Lykia 3 years ago say it is far superior (even to their memory of Lykia 3 years ago) with more nice touches at around the same price.
By the way, if going to Lykia with Cosmos and they tell you have a seating area in a garden room – don’t believe them, they lie – some don’t!

We had stayed at Lykia world before in the Residence Block of the hotel and decided to stay in the same this time.
Although the whole complex cannot be faulted as the hotel and surroundings are stunning, the staff in the restaurants are very slow, plates are not cleared quickly enough (we were eating desert when our starter and main course plates were eventually taken away) and very rarely do the waiters ask if you want wine with your meal any longer as the did before. Also if you go for a late breakfast do not expect to find a table that is set. Breakfast is 7.30-11.00 and with a small child we often got there about 10.00 or 10.30 and were never found a set table the whole 2 weeks.
On a plus side the Kids Paradise is fantastic for the little ones and the kids clubs on site are second to none.
I spoke to a few people all of whom had stayed here before and all were of the same opinion that standards of service have slipped a lot. This place is expensive and service should match the price you pay, but it does not.

Best holiday we have ever been on. We plan to return again this year for 2 weeks. brilliant for the whole family.
The food was fabulous and there was always plenty of choice to suit all tastes. Accommodation was lovely and quite luxurious. Every one working at Lykia world was friendly and so helpful.
We had everything we wanted from a relaxing holiday and the full use of a good gym when we wanted to get a workout.
Paradise is Lykia world.
