Welcome to Germany is all I can say!...
9 / 10
Apr 2004, Mr D Kitchen

Welcome to Germany is all I can say!
Returned from a week on holiday and thought it would be polite to review as this is what I use before choosing.
First impression is the size, so big you need a map, but it not too clear, it took us 3 days to find the decent restaurant, any going use the village restaurant, it is much quieter and a better atmosphere.
Food is brilliant and the chefs are so hygienic, use gloves, hats, and always clean clothes and very friendly. There was always something there for anyone?s pallet, from local food to global food, salads, fish, meat, bread (all 30 types of it) and even a diet corner. One thing, find a seat before you get your food or you will be walking for ages with no where to eat.
Room was immaculate, daily maid, daily restock of mini bar (not too expensive), satellite TV for those night in, Very quiet if it was not they would let you know, we were there for the summer party, very loud, very good.
Swimming pools always a lot of room in them, as they were so cold we stuck to the heated indoor pool, very clean, always plenty of sun beds.
We always went to the village bar, more our style, but parents beware of your younger daughters as it is run by young, active young males, but brilliant people, made some good friends there, VERY CHEAP.
The card system is a good idea and, unknown to us, you can put a limit on it and check bill daily and even pay daily so you know what you have spent, can pay in all currency as well.
We did not have children but from what I saw the kids clubs look very well run and professional but cannot comment on more than that.
Will recommend the quad bike tour to anyone, it the best way to see the island and places you could not see on any other, guides were brilliant, very enjoyable!
All in all bit limited for adults during day, but something to do on a night, hence the 9 rating
Any questions please feel free to email on dann47@hotmail.com putting lykia world in subject, I will help if I can
Hope this helps
Regards
Danny

Excellent excellent excellent.
What more can I say!
Food is at the Lykia World is fabulous, children?s facilities amazing, accommodation is lovely.
I stayed in the village at Lykia World with my partner and 2 children aged 2 yrs and 8 yrs. My eldest child thoroughly enjoyed the extensive range of activities available with the kids club. These included white water rafting, jet skiing, safari trips, rock climbing and full-supervised use of the children?s paradise. The kids can stay in the kids club from 10am - 10pm only returning for a shower break at 6pm.

The restaurants at the Lykia World Club are superb ranging from Turkish to Chinese to Italian offering a wide range of cuisine. I am returning this year with my partner and family.

If you are looking for a holiday in...

Aug 2003, Miss G Robson

If you are looking for a holiday in paradise Lykia World is the place to go every thing you need to do on a holiday is there.
From going in a swimming pool to scobadiving and paragliding, roller blading, and lots more exiting thing to do and see.
The entertainment on a night is fab you can watch your little ones in a play and there is a club for children of all ages, you hardly ever see them because they are having so much fun.
The food is fab but if there is any kind of food you like you can pick from nine restaurants from Italian to plain old English breakfasts.
There are 17 swimming pools , 2 which are adults only , there are big slides and little slides, water polo, and lots more.
The rooms are nice and cosy.
If you are looking for paradise you have come to the right place and I give it overall 10/10 no doubt about it.

This will be our third year at Lykia....

Jun 2003, Mrs G Lenderyou

This will be our third year at Lykia. There is something for everyone. We particularly liked the huge dining tables where staff from all over the world came and joined you at your evening meal eating with you. We made particular friends last year Roberto and Ege who were part of the customer service team. We also met the management team at a champagne reception given to repeat guests to find out how they could improve the service! Impressive, that in an already outstanding place, which they are continuously striving to, betters the complex. My nine-year-old son became very friendly with the very dishy DJ who invited him to spin some discs from the control decks in the village square!! A highlight in his calendar. I am reluctant to mention this paradise to too many people in case we can?t get booked!! Once you have been there you will never want to go anywhere else again.

Jun 2003, PQ

Our first trip to Turkey and not our last, Lykia World is paradise, Fantastic views, lovely and clean everywhere, and the staff were all really good. The food is just fantastic and all freshly cooked. We went as a family 2 adults 2 kids ages 14 and 11. I can honestly say its the best holiday we have ever had, and couldn't have wished for anything better. Soon as we got home we booked again for June 2004, Its the only place that all of us have wanted to return to the following year. My kids had the choice of Florida or Turkey again and they both chose Turkey, what can I say?
Olu Deniz is a lovely place, not big and not built up. All of the locals made us welcome and they make such a fuss of the children with free drinks and sweets. If you go here you MUST go to Fethiye market, what an experience that was I love all the haggling for bargains, and again the locals were really nice and friendly. We are all so looking forward to our next holiday there in June.

This was an holiday of a life time....
10 / 10
Jun 2003, Mrs H Jones

This was an holiday of a life time.
the Lykia World Hotel Complex was huge with everything for anyone and everyone.
it was spotless throughout, and well catered for the disabled and pushchairs. the complex surroundings and grounds were beautiful, had its own beach and the views were breathtaking
there were 3 buffet restaurants, which were all lovely, and many speciality restaurants that were great too. the food is well prepared with a vast amount of choice, no complaints only praise, even from my fuzzy 4 year old. plenty of bars all around the complex. ice cream parlour and ice bar.
daytime:- u cud either; laze around the residence pool, join in the fun at the village pool, take part in MANY of the activity?s or sports, bathe on the beach, join in at the water paradise park, spoil yourself at the beauty centre or escape to the adult only area?s.
nighttimes:- either; watch a show which were absolutely excellent, laze around the beach bar, have a quite night in the residence lounge, catch a film in the cinema. there were always a family disco on afterwards which were great fun and even a night club for those night owls.
the staff are the most friendly and helpful I ever come across, keeping u entertainment from dusk till dawn.
the accommodation was ok, everything you needed, the rooms were getting modernised this year.
there were a 24 hour baby facility room which was a god send
the kids clubs were fantastic and well organized. operating from 10am till 10pm for 6mths to teens.
the water paradise area is great fun for the adults as well as the kids, with lots and lots to do. the kids can never get fed up as there is just so much for them to do even judo training, swimming lesions, a mini zoo they even performed their own show once a week in the amphitheatre.
Olu Deniz is a 5-minute taxi ride, nice place and the blue lagoon is a must. Hisaronu is a 10-minute taxi ride, which is great for your bargain shopping. but there is no need to leave the complex if you didn?t want too.
the full board plus is excellent value, we found we didn?t really have anything to pay for except the odd drinks out of meal times, mini bar in room and beauty salon, it only came to £80 for two weeks for two adults and two kids. so may as well call it all inclusive.
this is the best holiday I have experienced so far, and I have travelled allot. my husband and I and our 2 kids and the 2 friends we travelled with enjoyed it tops. I cannot imagine going anywhere else for my holidays now. I could go on about it all day. Highly recommended to anyone wanting a holiday to remember.

The Lykia world complex is out...
10 / 10
Jun 2003, Mrs N Jones

The Lykia world complex is out standing, the best by far I have stayed in, in 29 years of holidaying. it huge and caters for everyone and anyone. it is private, secure and set in mountains with its own beach.
you are only 5 minute taxi ride to Olu Deniz which is small and peaceful with plenty of shops and restaurants, the blue lagoon down there is well worth a visit. plus only 10 minute taxi ride to hisaronu which is fab for the market and your bargain shopping.
the staff are the most friendly people I have ever met and the entertainment team, did every thing they could to make your holiday the best, but if you wanted peace you got it.
we stayed in the village area with our two kids, it was cosy, comfortable and everything we needed, very clean. our friends we travelled with stayed in the residence area. there room was much nicer.
for kids there were kids clubs(6mths-18yrs)from 10am-6pm + 7pm-10pm. disco's, ice bars, playground, own pools, shows, playroom, roller-skating, judo training, swimming lessons, 2 kids buffet restaurants. etc
they never got bored.
for adults there were daily entertainment:- archery, football, water sports, pool games etc or relaxing adult only pools, Turkish baths, beauty centre. plus in the evenings there were shows on in the amphitheatre, or the quite beach bar, or the residence relaxing live music, and there were always a disco on. plus a night club for the stop outs. or you could even go to the cinema and catch a film.
the pools were lovely, large and very clean, with plenty of sun beds. there was a busy active one, or a quite relaxing one, one with slides, two adult only ones. plus the children's paradise area which had pools on pools and slides, even a mini zoo. believe me this was not just for kids, it was great for adults too. even a baby area.
the three buffet restaurants were spotless with plenty of choice every night of the week. the three took it turns to open thro the day and night, but there was always two open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. one stayed open for late breakfast and afternoon snacks. there were also late night snacks available from the disco area. there were plenty of bars scattered across the complex, but drinks were free from the restaurants. the specialty restaurants were nice to, especially the Turkish, you get the chance to check out the menu before you book which is ideal as they are set menu's.
the beach was lovely, clean with plenty of sun beds and water sports. just too many pebbles for me.
the views were breathtaking with the mountains behind you and the sand and sea in front of you.
this holiday suits all. if you have babies, young or old kids, or even if you don't have kids. the old and the young couples or even the singles. the complex catered very well for the disabled and pushchairs. there were even two little buses to take you round the complex if you wanted. plus a 24hour baby facilities room.
I give this holiday an overall 10 out of 10. I can not imagine spending my holidays any where else now.
