Sun Park Apartments

my husband and i have just returned from two weeks at sun park which was rather a disapoint it was our first holiday alone for many years and was looking forward to a great time our son had been there with a friend in july and say that it was basic but ok but it was not so good when we went the apartments were lovely as the hotel in general spotlessly clean pools were great but too many broken sunlongers food alot of the time was a disrace if u dont eat fish at times there was not really other choices my husband eats fish so he was ok but as i cant eat it so sometime s i had hardly anything desserts were the same all the time breakfast was fine though staff most of them weere fine the entertainment was an abosuolely hopeless again when my son was there it was ok but not for us the girl was useless in the day it was killer pool or darts everyday if she could be bothered she put music on roound pool for about an hor in morning and hour in the afternoon then turned it off again in the evening it was poor or non exsistent mostly short game of bingo which u had topay for or quiz or reptile show birds of prey shows or parrots if they turnedup and then if she did sometimesd she just sat chatting i know it was september but the hotel was still very busy. the beach at playa blanca it lovely and so is the area but the hotel was a bit of a let down we still had a good holiday just didnt let it spoil out time there would go to playa blanca again but probaly not this hotel more like two star rather than three i know u cannt expect much from a three star but we did expect a little better than what we had

Found these apartments large,clean and in good location.
Serves well for bed and breakfast as lovely sites to see in Play Blanca and nice places to eat and drink.All in good walking distance.Good base.
Would not recommend All inclusive though, as the food is poor. Lack of variety and quality poor. Same dessert every day for seven days. Chips on menu every day. And all inclusive consisted of breakfast, lunch and dinner And drinks (no cocktails) no snacks throughout the day other than left over pastries and ice cream.
Staff fine, entertainment poor.
Pools cleaned everyday as was the apartments.

Avoid at all costs - the place needs a Government Health Warning and we will never again go to the Canary Islands as a result - so quite an achievement !

After returning from sun park, i cant see what all the negativity is about. Ok its not 5 star quality but you have not paid 5 star prices...cant understand when people pay budget prices and expect first class services...food is limited but salad bar, fresh breads and meats were fine...rooms very clean...staff friendly enough(not that i wanted that much to do with them)...pool clean, location excellent
lovely for a nice quiet holiday..will return

Just got back from a week all inclusive. First impressions were poor and they did not improve. Room was dirty, musty and brown hot water meaning the tank had to be changed. Very limited food choice; hot food was at best warm & dried out; the salads were leftovers disguised with mayonnaise (have never seen brussels and ravioli in a salad before now!!); cold milk for cereal was warm; desserts were the same most nights. - need I go on? The most appetising was the baguettes and bread rolls. A pleaseant pool area was spoilt by broken loungers. The gym equipment was ancient. Staff were ignorant and for most it was an effort to even say hello. The restaurant manager asked for a survey on BBQ night which saw the most disgusting sausages full of grissle and the most unappealing cuts of pork.
That said, what a fantastic location for a holiday. Great beach, bars, selection of shops and some interesting walks. We did not eat out but there was a good range of restaurants that seemed busy despite the early season. We shall certainly go back but not to this hotel.

My husband and I have just come back after a week in Sun Park in Playa Blanca and I can honestly say I am glad it was only a week. Playa Blanca itself is a really nice place. The Sun Park hotel is the worst I have ever stayed in. The hotel is in desperate need of a complete refurbishment. Our cleaner came in every day except Fri and Mon and the only way we could tell she had been in was if she changed the towels. There is a television in the room but the only way to watch is by feeding it Euro's, something I have never come across before, and you have to pay a €10 deposit for the remote control which you get back when you hand it back in. All the loungers by the pool are cracked and need replaced. We stayed on a half board basis but after sampling the food on our first night we did not eat there again. The food was absolutely disgusting and cold. The choice was very limited with fish and a meat dish and a salad bar. It was hard to find plates that did not have chips out of them. Drinks were served in clear plastic cups which you would expect by the pool but not when you are dining. The apartment walls are very thin and if you have a family above you with kids running about it can be very noisy.

when first arived i was unsure at reception area wasnt a good first impreshion. the food was good the rooms was very spaciouse and clean verry good for English people food wise.
entertainment could be improved verry clean and friendly place to go and well located

We recently had the displeasure of spending a week at the Sun Park Apartments in Playa Blanca. We booked one week half board. The apartment was OK space wise but black mould in the bedroom, everything was damp and smelt musty. Clean towels had to be requested after several days as nothing was changed, apart from the bins being emptied nothing was properly cleaned and we had to pay for the TV (a new experience)! The pool area gave us cause for concern; broken lamp by the childrens pool area, the life ring was completely split and no use, fire extinguishers were either discharged or had not been pressurised and therefore unusable, broken tiles, broken drains, broken sun loungers the list goes on and on! The restaurant was quite possibly the worst food we have ever experienced. We ate one evening meal and one breakfast. We opted to eat out for the remainder of the week as the the hotel food can only be described as disgusting. The choice of food we had the misfortune to experience was either chicken breast or fish and chips or salad and some very dubious looking peas and carrots. The chicken was dry and cold the chips were raw and cold and the salad was generally unidentifiable! The breakfast was along the same lines, a 'full english' was on offer - all cold and with the most unappetising sausages we have ever seen, and 'continental' which consisted of two types of processed sliced meat and cheese, the coffee (it what the machine said it was) was vile and undrinkable and the wine with the evening meal tasted like it had been knocked up the day before and was served in a plastic cup - astounding! No atmosphere and miserable staff and surroundings. They do offer a BBQ night or Canarian night in the restaurant but we couldn't bring ourselves to go back. On the upside, the gardens surrounding the apartments are pretty and well kept, there is plenty of parking space at the front of the hotel should you wish to make an escape and it really is only a 10 minute walk to the beach. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and check in/out was straight forward and quick. We wouldn't go there again and we certainly wouldn't recommend it. Playa Blanca is lovely and we would definitely go there again (we have stayed in Costa Teguise previously) just not to Sun Park. We will put this one down to experience!

we are stayin at the sun park now and wouldnt come back again after this, supose to be 3 star but its only 2 star the staff are not friendly at all and as for the food its realy bad, we are all inclusive and the drinks here are awful as well if u want a snack between meals u have to pay for it, we have been eating out most of the time, so would not recomend the food at all unless u like sprouts and brocilli as thats all it ever is and dried up burgers also the mash is runny like water and the puddings well its jelly and pears every day its terrible also spot on 11pm they close everything up the entertainment is a disgrace as well

stayed at the sun park till december 5th room was clean.food was awful just about warm chips breakfast lunch and dinner drinks in plastic cups we were all inclusive we ate out every night.would go back again but room only ideal located for playa blanca and hotel spotless but food fit for children rather than adults receptionist with glasses very rude and unhelpful the rest were realy nice.entertainment a joke what entertainment.
