Jun 2011, fantastic

My husband and I spent a week at the Pasha Princess for our honeymoon. We should have spent two weeks. We could not find any faults with the hotel, staff or food. The staff were so friendly and attentative. We are going to go back in october this year and again next year.

The hotel, decor, staff, and food are all excellent, the location is great if you wish to spend your time on a lounger in the sun at the beach or alongside a very nice under used pool, rather noisy from local bar/disco sometimes until 03.00 or even 05.00 in the morning As is... more

I took my elderly Mum on holiday, and had to take a few things into consideration, as she is very bad at walking so a wheelchair is a must. I checked out a few countries, and resorts, and came up with the Pasha Princess in Camyuva, as I was recommended that it was... more

Everything was fantastic. I have done my fair share of travelling and have stopped in some good, bad, and damn right ugly hotels. As a 4 star establishment you expect some half decent service. But all the staff treated you with a blazing smile and perfect manners. The... more

My comments on Pasha's
Quite frankly a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable stay. The location superb, literally 400 metres from the beach. The staff extremely friendly always willing to go out of their way to help. The only small issue I encountered was that very few of them spoke any sort of English and this is part of the fun. They really appreciate any attempt you make in trying to communicate in Turkish and it all adds to the experience. If anyone is interested in going on any of the excursions, I thoroughly recommend Ginza Tour and Travel Agency (this is directly next to the hotel). Headed by Joseph, they provide an excellent service sometimes undercut the Thomas Cook price by up to half. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Lovely Jublee
We recently stayed at this wonderful hotel and had a very relaxing and enjoyable time. The place is contnually being cleaned and is therefore spotless, the staff are friendly and attentive and only too pleased to ensure you have a great time. The majority of guests are german and subsequently the food probably errs: slightly in their favour, but the choice is varied and plentifull.Rooms are comfortable and bottles of soft drinks used in your fridge will be replaced daily. We did try the beach where all hotels have their own beds and parasols but found it a little claustrophobic, so we lounged beside the pool which was fantastic. Our only main trip out was the sky lift up the mountain(only opened in june) which is a must.We booked ours at Pipo travel opposite the hotel but ensure you haggle, they started at 80euros but we were soon at 60euros.My only surprise was they DO NOT change sterling travellers cheques in the hotel or surrounding shops, but the rep will, otherwise the nearest place is Kemer a 15minute dolmus ride away.To sum up a very relaxing holiday in a equally good hotel with great weather to compliment it.
I want to go back !!!!
This hotel was fantastic from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The staff are so attentive and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is so friendly. We were advised to take Turkish Lira but everywhere was priced in Euros’ so I would advise that as the easier option. The staff come round at regular intervals by the pool or on the beach with sorbets, fruits, afternoon snacks, tea and cold towels. The food was fantastic and the variety was completely different every single night. The staff are all such characters and just want to have a laugh with you. The entertainment is not at it's greatest but they try hard and that's not really what you are there for anyway and it will only ever be what you make of it. We were a group of 4 girls and we used to join in with it every night and we had such fun! I always say I will never go back to the same place twice as there is too much of the world to see, but I can honestly say I will be going back to the Pasha's princess.
Staff second to none
This hotel is run by the general manager like a well oiled machine. His staff are incredible, 1st class, I have never experienced anything quite like it. The plaques on the wall at reception show this to be amongst the best 99 hotels in the world for the past 3 years and it is not hard to see why. It has also been granted the marque of excellence by Thomas Cook for the past 4 years. This explains why this is such a popular hotel. We were originally given one of the 42 less favourable bedrooms ( so called ) as they back onto the main road running through Camyuva ( pronounced chamavar ) and also overlook the small shopping precinct adjacent to the hotel. The brilliant general manager who eventually after a couple of days of our being promised a room change to the other side of the hotel began to be called Mr Tomorrow by me as the change could not be given until the 4th day of our two week stay and it was always " tomorrow I can change your room " . Not his fault may I add as due to the popularity of the hotel, it was always booked by return guests who are given preference over the rooms. It was therefore necessary to wait until one became available before we did receive a change to a tremendous room overlooking the pool with as distant sea view. Everything about the hotel bar two factors ( the location being one ) was excellent and can not be faulted. The food is tremendous, it is a different menu every night of the week based on themed evenings with food to suit everyones taste ( even the most parky of souls can be sure of getting a good meal ! ). The rooms are of a decent standard with family rooms being allocated by virtue of a further room adjacent to the main room joined by a connecting door. The pool is spotless, the cleanliness of the patio area like the staff is second to none, it is scrubbed every night of the week. The only downside to the patio area is its location, in my opinion, it is on the wrong side of the pool and as such, receives long periods of shade due to the location of the palm trees. The other side is in sunlight all day however, this is not a sunbathing area as it is not wide enough for that purpose. There was always an adequate amount of sunbeds as the placing of towels by any nationality ( 85% of the guests are Germans ! ) is forbidden. The other downside to the hotel was its entertainment which apart from the Turkish evening was less than average. ( Ennis and his team of two tried hard but it was very difficult for them to provide decent entertainment as they are not professionasl in that area - one is drawn from the kitchen and the other was a security guard ! ). The hotel is located behind other hotels and is about 400 metres from its own sectioned off beach area. There are plenty of sunbeds there too and the the walk to the beach bar from the beach area is not too strenuous. The beach area round the hotels is clean but without sand apart from when you first enter the beach area. It is all small stones down at the beach side. The town of " Chamavar " is small and flat ( no hills to climb ) with plenty of expansion room for this to become a very good resort however at the time of our visit, no further building work was neither taking place nor is it planned in the near future. The shopping areas are purpose built and sit alongside the other familiar rows of older type shops selling just about anything you could wish for. There is no hassle from the owners whatsoever which is a good thing as it means one can have a good look around without being bothered. I have a 16 years old daughter who I was expecting to receive the usual treatment from Turkish men ( we have been to Turkey previously on a regular basis ) however, the staff at this hotel never once caused her any hassle, indeed good friendships were eventually forged with the staff by her as a result of this. Overall, the hotel is extremely good just about in all areas with the only downsides being those explained. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others who enjoy a town centre location with reasonable proximity to the beach.
Passion for Pasha's
There is nothing that you can fault with this hotel. The service was excellent. The food fantastic. The hotel was all inclusive and I have been on a few of these before. No where comes close. They have a 14 day revolving menu which are themed on a daily basis. Thats not just your meal, the table decorations the staff uniform are all in keeping with that particular days motif. The staff could not be more helpful or friendly. It has its own section of beach along with the other hotel's but this was the only one where they bring you cocktails, cold flannels and sorbet whilst your sat under your parasol on a reclining sun-bed. Yes the entertainment was on the basic side but so what? The room standard is excellent and easily matches the 4 stars that it is awarded. ( if you expect a 5 star uk / usa hotel then go and stay in one!). If you have been on all inclusive holidays anywhere around the mediterranean or Egypt before or have never been on one then I recommend that you try this one and you will definitely be more than satisfied.
Fantastic Hotel 100%
Just arrived home from a stay in Turkey at the Pasha Princess hotel (29/7/2007) and i can tell you that it is the most wonderfull hotel that you could wish for . The staff cant do enough for you , and the hotel is spotless in lovely settings. I am a little fussy with food , but there was allways plenty of choice , so i did not go hungry ( i gained 6lbs in one week ) To sum it up i would say its the best holiday i have ever had .Try it your self
Perhaps I am too fussy
After reading the reviews I thought I would be fine with my over fussy eating habits, sadly this was not the case. I could not fault the hotel and the staff, lovely rooms which are cleaned daily, nice pool which is also kept spotless. If you are looking for getting a little merry in the hotel during your stay then forget it, they will only allow you to have one shot per drink and it is very watered down, i managed 15 vodka and cokes one evening and was not even merry. The food is ok as long as you like salad everynight, its all very samey even though they do have a different theme every evening. Entertainment is what you would imagine if you went back 30 years and went to spain, a geezer on an organ singing Another Day in Paradise in a dodgy english accent, entertaining but not in the way they think. if you have booked meals on the plain then get them cancelled, we found out that because its not a Thomas Cook flight then everybody gets offered a meal even if they have not paid for it. We had opted out of the meal and was given a meal on the way there and the way back, if you have already paid, get onto customer services, they will give you a refund!!!
Trying to give some info the other reviews don't
Having read these reviews before going to Pasha's Princess, I was reasonably confidant that we would at least not have a disastrous holiday, and possibly a great holiday. How right I was.........Thank you to all the reviewers for taking the trouble. The hotel and holiday were wonderful. Below I will try to list some of the things I feel are important for someone trying to decide whether to go or not. 1) The hotel and staff are SPOTLESS & HYGIENIC...I mean totally. 2) The rooms are EXACTLY as shown in the photographs. 3) The luggage is unloaded from the coach and taken to your room where you are shown the balcony, air con, wardrobe with digital safe and soft drink mini bar. 4) The mini bar was free and contained a large bottle each of still water, sparkling water, coke, diet coke & orange fanta. As a bottle became near empty, a new one was left by the cleaners. (you can take these with you if you go out of the hotel if you wish to) 5) Every day the room was THOROUGHLY cleaned (even to the balcony handrails being dusted) and the crisp sheet left in a fan or other folded design on the bed. One or two days we even had rose petals sprinkled on them. The bathroom is as we would hope for it to be, with a walk in shower and loads of hot water........which NEVER ran out. 6) Breakfast, from 7.00am to 10.00am has everything you could wish for. From eggs cooked in any fashion you like while you stand there, to fruit, sausage, cheese, yoghurt, honey, muesli, fresh breads, jams........you name it, and as much as you want. Coffee on tap, tea of every flavour and water and soft drinks. If you are a late riser, continental breakfast (in other words the egg chef goes off duty) continues from 10.00am to 11.00am. 7) Then at 11.00am the poolside bar opens for ANY drink you fancy up to 11.00pm. The drinks were supposed to be "LOCAL" which filled me with trepidation. In reality the brands were generally as we would know them INCLUDING local ones like Raki. All the soft drinks from the bar were as we would know them ie. Coke, Sprite, Fanta etc and were in plentiful supply. We were never once given even a disapproving glance, let alone questioned as to the frequency of collecting them. 8) Lunch is from 12.30pm to 2.00pm and is always a mixture of the same ENORMOUS selection of salads, to freshly cooked meats and pizza type things at the far end of the restaurant. During normal meal times the drinks are available from the restaurant bar also. (in glasses as opposed to plastic for pool safety) 9) Not enough is made of the beach facilities. These are great. Firstly, there is a toilet block, which is always clean and of the western variety. Secondly, there are FIXED canopies on the hotels private section of the beach with sun loungers beneath them. As the sun moves a long way, shade can be hard to follow around. Thirdly, the CAFE part is great......there are two large wooden summerhouses which supply all the same things you get at the hotel. Food and drink. You also have large canvas canopies with tables and chairs and upholstered settees to relax and lounge in the shade. 10)Throughout the day little extras are provided by the staff. For example:- At 2.30pm, lounging by the pool, you are handed a freezing cold flannel to mop your fevered brow. At 3.30pm you may be given a serviette with a few pieces of fresh fruit in it. At 4.30pm you may be given a cake and a glass of Turkish tea. At 5.30pm you may be given a pastry or hot dog!!!! This is every day. 11) The entertainment manager (Enis) is a lovely bloke and very funny and likeable. He tries to encourage you to participate in the daily ritual of easy going games, all of which we took part in. 10.15am Water aerobics. 11.00am Silly style darts. 2.15pm Water volleyball. 3.00pm Water polo........etc......times may vary..... :-) The evening entertainment however, I have seen described elsewhere as lame....and indeed it is. There are notable exceptions like the traditional dancing, and the live music nights which are very good. It's the "make it up as we go along" nights that need to be sat well away from. I don't wish to criticise Enis too much, as trying to keep a joke alive in German, Turkish and English at the same time is not an easy task. On the Thursday of each week we had a Staff - v - Guests football match at the local outdoor 5 a side astro-turf pitch. My 16 year old daughter, a mean footballer, took part. Great fun. 12) Dinner is from 7.30pm to 9.00pm and is as before basically. The only difference is that they are often themed. One night may be a "Rustical night" as they call it. Another is Fish night. Another is Tropical or Hawaiian night. All these nights are accompanied by different table settings and staff dress. The table settings are immaculate and quite wonderful. Crisp linen and embroidered cloths with different lamps or candles each time. Dress for this needs to be reasonably smart if you don't want to offend anyone. A clean shirt and at least 3/4 length trousers is polite and good manners. 13) Last but not least is to mention the fist and last evening meals you will have there. On entering the pool area on your first night, you will be greeted by Metin the head waiter. (a great personality and no mean footballer) He will show you to the "Welcome Table" where you will be seated with other first evening guests (usually) of the same language. You will be given a glass of "champagne". On the last night you will be shown to the "Leaving Table" at the poolside, where the same thing happens. The only difference is by this time you are a veteran and know all the other people. You, by this time will be scowling at all the new shiny white people you see, as they are staying, and you are not. I met a number of people there who have been going back for many years. I would not hesitate to go back again and to highly recommend it to you. Only writers cramp prevents further praise. .....frostyboy.....
Thanks Pashas for a great time
Well after a hiccup from the travel agents point of view, Pasha's Princess staff put everything right when we were sent to the wrong hotel, they sent a car for us within 20 minutes. We made many friends, holiday makers and staff alike. The Hotel was mainly set up for Germans which we already knew by reading reviews from this site. That did not put me off and wouldn't in the future. The Germans were lovely people most of the time, but there are always some who think they know it all (that includes the English). There are more English going and the Turkish people love it. We made friends with English and German alike. The hotel is run by some lovely staff. The staff of the hotel even cancelled an evening of entertainment to play the England v Brazil friendly. The manager of the bar who has a dry sense of humour to the Chef who made me put on weight (because the food is out of this world, all made in their kitchens by Si who has written a cook book). The entertainment was a bit lame at first, and we told them this, but the last night we were there they had us in stitches with a fantastic show. From the reception area to the waiting staff, they are all friendly and we made some great acquaintances. The area is surrounded by mountains and the weather was getting hot (45dgs) when we left Monday 11th June 07. There is nothing for the kids to do so if you want kid friendly don't take them here. If you want a relaxing and romantic getaway, take yourself off here as you won't regret it. The lift works well on the first week, but be warned, if you put on weight whilst there, it won't take 4 fat people! Go to the beach as the Pasha's has a lovely 'tent' there where they also serve lunch and drinks (the watermelon punch is devine and chunky). The sand is brown which put me in mind of dirt and the waters edge has small sharp stones so buy some water shoes. It's very clean though (to go with the rest of Camyuva) although the beach is not really our thing. If you can get into this small close knit Hotel, go, you won't regret it....
A little bit of Heaven
Our first trip to Turkey was one of trepidation, we had read various reviews and were a little anxious. Well we need not have worried, from the moment we arrived at the Pashas Princess we were struck by the fabulous welcome we recieved, arriving very late because of a long delay, we were treated to a lovely mezzane of Turkish treats, in the lounge area accompanied by a local drink. WOW. We were told our luggage was in our room and we walked in and were very pleased, we overlooked the pool area and the room was just lovely. Food was great you had to be a very fussy eater not to enjoy any of the sumptuous buffet provided, and if you wanted anything that was not on the menu it was provided if humanly possible. The welcome from the waitors and chefs and the very correct...Manager and Restaurant Manager could not have been better. The resort is very quiet, but the bus service is regular to other resorts nearby, the gateman will stop the bus and fetch you from the foyer...great service especially when it is HOT. Also the reception will always call you a taxi if thats your choice, personally the buses were perfectly good and clean. We met some lovely people German and English! did not have to fight for a sunbed around the pool, and what a pool it is lovely... even if a little cold in October. But spotlessly clean as was all the hotel. With the chefs bringing little treats to your sunbeds in the morning and afternoon. All meals are announced by the ringing of a bell, which made us all laugh. But summing up..Old fashioned good service, a really lovely piece of tranquility in a quiet resort, if relaxing is what you want away from the hustle and bustle of real life this is the perfect place for you.... We have tried twice to return and cannot get in FULLY BOOKED...what better recommendation. Advise book early.
