Jardines Del Sol Apartments

It’s been a while since I went to Jardines Del Sol. I went in July with some friends and it was the first time I had been abroad. The place is excellent and I would highly recommend it for those of you looking for a quiet yet enjoyable holiday. Jardines Del Sol is situated about 40 minutes drive from the airport. We have just arrived back from a lovely stay at the Jardines del Sol (not to be confused with the Jardine del Sol!) in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. Having found the accommodation through the internet, we were over the moon when we saw the quality. There was absolutely everything you could need in the kitchen, and the maid service left the rooms spotlessly clean. My wife and i have just retuened from a week at jardines del sol(through diamond).and would say we are impressed with resort. got a taxi from airport( bout 35 euro's)takes about 40 mins,it appears all taxi drivers must be on promises the way they drive. Check in was effecient and quick.we found ourselves with a 2 bedroomed and 2 bathroomed apartment.which was 2 to a good standard. it has 2 pools plus paddling pool,which are both decent sizes.and plenty of sun beds available round pool. the main area in Playa Blanca is... more

lovely quiet resort, all the necessary equipment in the villa/appartment including air/con. day time activities for kids and adults just about right ie not over the top. restaurant is more like a cafe but is fine for lunches but not really for evening meals, ideal for couples and families with young children and teenagers, three pools(1 kiddy pool, 1 one metre deep and one 1.7 mt deep)

We booked into Jardines del Sol as we were unable to get into our first choice of Club del Carmen in Puerto del Carmen. We had been told it was 'out of the way' but we were very pleasantly surprised. The accommodation was in well spaced out semi-detached bungalows and the grounds were well kept picon (volcanic ash) as are many of the grounds in Lanzarote. I booked my holiday with Sunterra ,It's supposed to be a wonderful hotel . Upon arriving there my thoughts were oh my god !!!!! its like a package holiday here the rooms were basic and not to my expectations I joined Sunterra to have a touch of quality for a change as I have been a package holiday maker for the past ten years and was totally dissapointed. As for playa blanca I was gutted no one could sit on the beach as it was too windy evadently it is windy all the year round in this place final word to every one dont go to Lanzagrotty

Have just returned after a week their with my wife, our two daughters (3&1) and my parents who had recently joined the sunterra club. villa was superb, very clean and all the appliances (washing machine, fridge freezer, dishwasher etc) worked. Kitchen was fantastic, bedrooms spacious, living room comfortable and terrace spacious(be careful if you have very little ones as there is nothing to keep them on the terrace!). The swimming pool/sun area was excellent and very clean, the gardens and general complex was maintained to a high standard.... more

Absolutely great stay. The pools are wonderful and there are 2 lifeguards who keep an eye on the children. The bungalows are air conditioned. Honest. Must of had upgrade. There is plenty for the children by way of a kids club. There is entertainment everynight. Food great. And all that is on the complex without going anywhere. Lanzarote is a beautiful place. Lots of places to go and spectacular views where ever you are. Love it.

The Jardines del sol is owned by the Sunterra group. We where on a promotional week holiday ie they where trying to get us to buy. The sales pitch was not high pressure and we didn’t buy. We arrived before check in time but got straight into the accommodation. The reception staff where very friendly and helpful doing everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. Jardines del Sol provides large spacious and amply furnished Villa/ Bungalows in a well maintained and quiet complex about 2kms from the Town Center The reception is small but the host very friendly and helpful The Villas do not have air con so we found it a touch uncomfortable at night time : due to the odd mosquitoes we had to keep the curtains and shutters closed at night.
