Staff were unfriendly before I even got there emailed and phoned twice re airport transfer - they don't do.
Hotel was right in main square and I was not bothered by the noise of trams and people all night - needed the sole window open to get air into tiny room.
Breakfast was a disappointment - especially the stale bread every day. Staff obviously didn't have a good work situation they were all miserable and unhelpful.
I would ask my taxi (merc) driver Milan for a better hotel if I go again. Taxi cost 180 Kuna which is reasonable and he was very helpful.
Zagreb is not for the shopper - prices are just about the same as here although food was good and reasonable in the old town.
Can't comment on the hotels' food as it was way over-priced from the restaurants and if breakfast was anything to go by, well I didn't bother.
