Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman Resort Hotel

We just returned from 6 nights at the Hyatt on Grand Cayman. What a beautiful spot! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the rooms are very clean with excellent and attentive staff everywhere you went. The pool is great too. The walk to the beach is short and easy. We did miss being able to see the ocean from our room so that's something to consider if you stay here. The food at Hemingway's was very good, but pricey. Just returned from 5 nights stay at hyatt regency grand cayman. after reading previous reviews i was unsure of resort due to 50% of reviews being bad. We made an excellent choice, hotel is centrally located, beautiful grounds and swimming pools. Beach is a little small but not to crowded, stayed across the street-walk was not as bad as people said it was plus it provided some exercise on vacation. beach staff very friendly and excellent service. pricey but knew that when trip was booked. We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at the hyatt regency.14th jan until 21st jan. We have a four year old and a six month old baby. We stayed in a one bedroomed suite. Good facilities i.e fridge, microwave, sink in the room although no kettle. Rooms very clean and safe for youngsters.Hotel facilities great my four year old went to camp hyatt for three days and loved it. Swimming pools clean and safe if a little cold. My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt for 5 nights in December, 2003. The hotel was immaculate and the front desk gave us an upgrade on our hotel room after we stated that we would love to have a good view. The beachfront was absolutely beautiful where we snorkeled right in front of the resort. You felt very safe and the hotel is very centrally located to other resorts and restaurants. Despite many positive reviews of this hotel, our family found the Hyatt to be a great disappointment. The ocean view two bedroom suites where we stayed over Christmas 2003 were adequate, but nothing special, despite the $2250 per night sticker price, not including 20% for taxes and gratuity. The food was mediocre in all restaurants and room service was terrible. The pool at the beach suites is a joke, about 4 feet wide and 20 feet long. The worst part was the beach. It was jam-packed with people, so much so that it was unpleasant to sit.... more
