Cay Beach Princess Bungalows

A lovely place to stay.
The apartment was clean and the maid service was very good, including doing our washing up! Our apartment was very hot though with no air conditioning, so we had to leave the curtains drawn at all times to stop sun coming in!
The pool area was very clean and with such a large space it was never overcrowded, plenty of sunbeds.
The supermarket next door was expensive though it was convenient.
Taxi service was very cheap and there were plenty around. Accommodation not far away from shops and restaurants.
A lovely place for families and couples.

Went to Cay beach Princess With My Nan, Auntie and Mum and had an excellent Holiday!!!!!
The bungalows were spotless and were a lovely layout, there was a TV in the room but we did get a bit fed up of watching CNN as this was the only English Channel!!!!!
The pool was lovely, had plenty of sunbeds and was cleaned every morning !!!!
The apartments were a bit out of the way but there was always taxi’s outside which were cheap plus there was a free bus to Maspalomas Beach.
Would definitely stay at Cay Beach Princess again!!!!!

Very clean complex and helpful staff, (Thomson Rep excluded). Our 9-year-old son loved the warmer pool and the pool tables.
Bungalow overlooked the pool and we spent most evenings on the patio watching our son with his new friends. Children’s entertainer was very good, he always put the kids first. Food in the restaurant was great off the menu but the buffet could have done with more choice of meats.
Word of advice, take a travel kettle or you will have to wait 20 minutes for the kettle to boil. Shop next to complex is expensive.

I would have related well below zero but that was not an option. We moved apartments 3 times in five days due to unsafe and unhygienic conditions. After we found a live mouse in my 18 month old daughter’s cot with her we requested to leave the accommodation altogether. Thomson reps were hopeless and after 3 days of asking for their help we checked into a nearby hotel at considerable further expense. However, we at least had peace of mind for our children’s safety. This was by far the very worst holiday ever and I can’t stress enough that anyone staying there is risking their health. The place was disgustingly dirty and unsafe.

We have stayed at this resort now 8 times, nearly every year since 1994. Decided to give it a miss this year as a friend had a new apartment in Turkey (Altinkham) what a mistake that was.
Already booked next years hols at the Princess Bungalows in Sept. The place is really superb. We love the location, it’s 5 mins by cheap taxi to either Maspalomas or playa, both having great places to eat.
We love the pool, for us this is the holiday, never crowded, in fact, we usually have 2 loungers each, one in the shade and one to top up our tans.
As for the staff always very friendly and helpful. Yes we had a problem with a bungalow in 1998 or 1999 not sure now? but we were exchanged bungalows within the hour, nothing too much trouble for the staff. Pity the same could not be said about Thomson’s reps. Over the past 8-9 years their standards have really dropped, not interested in you or your holidays or concerns etc, only after selling trips so they make their commission.
So if you want a great holiday with the biggest pool on the island and a decent accommodation then this really is the place. Also NO Germans
Finally, If you happen to be lying on anyone of the loungers by the pool, I can assure you that all you will be able to see will be palm trees and the odd roof of the bungalows, no other complex or balconies over looking you. You could be in an Indian Ocean complex, without the 8-9 hour flight.
Final word on this place, its HEAVEN ON EARTH!! You will enjoy it I promise you.

This was a beautiful resort and I would recommend it to anyone. We had a spacious lounge with a kitchen and dining area. There was a bathroom with a bath and shower and a large bedroom. Towels were provided and were changed daily when the rooms were cleaned. We saw two cockroaches however one of the maintenance men gave us some spray for the week so we were prepared after the first one.
There are a few cats but they leave you be. It is slightly out of the way but you can get a taxi from outside to either the resort centre, which was very quiet, or Faro 2. The latter being by the sea and really nice.
I can recommend the 19th hole for v large meals and up from there the Italian and the fish restaurant. Be warned though you will have to wait for the Italian but its worth it. The only downfall was Thomson who unfortunately have now turned into a company that purely wants to sell excursions. But apart from that I would recommend this to anyone.

This was by far the best complex we have stayed in abroad. Staff were excellent food was great value, entertainment was really good and varied. There was always plenty to do. I would highly recommend the bungalows to anyone and have already done so. We have a 3 year old daughter and she loved every minute. The only thing that would improve this complex is if they added a kids club for the youngsters of 10 and under.

This was a wonderful complex clean accommodation and Britannia who flew us were very good. Overall a lovely place to holiday, the complex was ideal and all the staff were very helpful.
A small outside bar provided food, which was very good, also the restaurant where the food was just as nice. I would recommend this holiday.

Although slightly out of the way, the bungalows provided excellent holiday accommodation. Our party consisted of 3 adults, a teenager and a 2 year old. We all loved our holiday as there was something for everyone. We found the bungalow spacious enough for the 5 of us.
Eating out was great as there’s a great variety of restaurants at Maspalomas Boulevard (19th Hole highly recommended) and at the Faro 2 complex (Chinese the best ever). Both a few minutes trip in a taxi for around £3.
The shop next to the bungalows had very little choice for self catering and had rip off prices so try and avoid it - go to a supermarket.
A trip to the water park and the market are a must.
We didn’t enjoy our boat trip looking for dolphins with lunch on the boat as the trip lasted too long and the diesel fumes knocked most people sick. We saw a couple of tiny dolphins in the distance but a big let down for the kids on the trip.
In June 2005 we are doing something we have never done before, going back to the exactly the same place.
