I stayed in the Portonovo Complex twice now, in 2010 and 2009. We stayed in Apartment 111. The complex was, from my understanding, owned by a travel group before all the apartments were sold to individual private owners. So some of them have been renovated, including this... more

Second time we`ve been here to our friends apartment (and certainly won`t be the last) we had a brilliant time even yho my hubby was putting in a new nathroom suite whilst there. Very well kept complex clean and tidy and pool cleaned regularly.Jac and Steve at the pool bar... more

stayed in 111 portonovo in oct 10 ,3 adults.apartment had eveything you would need.plenty of towels,etc.just 1 thing bugged us,after getting there we took off our shoes.and socks were very dirty within minutes..so obviously floors were not washed.apart from that we couldnt... more

This was our 2nd visit to the Portonovo Apts in a year, the location is fantastic looking out to sea and the harbour and of course you can see Fuerteventura. The accomodation was good, the apt was clean, and well maintained. The pool area was clean and plenty of sunbeds... more

The Porto Novo apartments in Puerto Rico. Look very nice in brochures and on the net.
When we stayed there the best point about them is the position facing the marina.
The apartments are old fashioned and are cockroach ridden and the reception is so old fashioned, dowdy and unwelcoming especially when returning in the evening.

Good budget choice, excellent location from sahbuk
Stayed here 7 years ago - found the kitchen much improved with modern hobs, microwave, jug kettle, toaster and full size fridge freezer - only thing missing was an ice-cube tray(!). There is also fair sized safe in the room - the only bad thing is no air-conditioning or ceiling fan - you can hire a portable fan from reception if it gets too much. The TV is pretty much useless - the only english channel was CNN. There is an electric shower, but no bath. Some rooms are above the few shops & restaurants next door, but we found they were... more

my parents have 2 two week stays in these apartments june and nov. last year in june it was very quiet ideal for my nine year old who had the pool nearly to herself all week. The resort itself is ideal for us as it has eveything we could ever want in a holiday. Never had a problem with the apartments and any issues we have raised with the owners have been resolved immediately. Fantastic location for beach, shops, marina etc. we going back for our fifth visit in four days and cant wait

we went to portonovo in may wat a big mistake these were disgusting. this was suppose to be a family holiday NO WAY there was nothing for the kids to do my kids r 16, 12 and 10.the 1st apartment was room 239 and im telling u u wid not put a dog in that apartment it was a fire hazard. the second room was 151 although it was a bit better i still wouldnt eat in the apartments. the bins were stinking there was noise from morning till night with the busy road. it was that bad we found out that our own rep called darren walked out of his job. i... more

So i stayed in this hotel with my girlfriend and her family and it was pretty good seing how cheap it was for us! The rooms were a tidy size and were very clean and quite modern with hobs and sink and coffee and microwave all working. The bathroom was really good and was really clean and the shower etc were all fully working and good! We also ha da sort of balcony/back patio on which we had loungers and that was a plus. I love puertorico been every year since 1992, went in room 348 over the top of the supermarket, across the road a taxi rank that was noisy early hours of the morning also noise from the shop keepers opening up early morning, the room was clean ,towels changed every other day {not very clean went and bought some} a shower, no bath, third bed is like a park bench with cushions. free tv,moved rooms after two days noise, went in room 203 quieter but could smell the bins from the ground floor... more

We stayed at the Portonova Apts from 28th March to 4th April 07. me my partner and my two kids age 14 and 12. On arrival we didn't know what to expect as we had read such bad reviews on holidays uncovered. We opened the room door and all we dould smell was clean air. We checked everwhere, the toliet, cooker, fridge etc and it was spotless. Ok the decotrwas dated and the pillows were lumpy, the sheets had also seen better days. My family have stayed in these apartments three times now and would continue to go back time and time again. The weather in Puerto Rico is fantastic. We have been in April, May, July, Aug & September and always been very happy. The Portonovo apartments are in an excellent location and we love the fact that the beach and the marina are such a short distance away. We visited Peurto Rico June 2006 (and Febuary 2006) and the apartments we chose (Portonovo) were excellant. The location is of course ideal, just a few steps onto the beach and only a ten minute stroll to the commercial centre. We did not experience any noise from the main road whatsoever, although I did expect to knowing the location. Puerto Rico itself is rundown and worth a fleeting visit to discover what 'tasteless tack' really means. Location: Very noisy as on a busy road and above shops + restaurants.
